Centauro at Crete Airport Chania

Pros: Car was new and in good condition

Cons: We waited an hour in the correct place at the airport when the first bus came he was already full so we had to wait even longer, he must have picked people up somewhere else. The agent was very aggressive in trying to sell extra insurance which cost more than the car hire with 10 days being quoted an extra 260 euros for an economy car. This is comparable to a years cover at home!! The tactic was to frighten us into buying this with lots of “what if this happens” and how much it would cost us.

Pros: Pickup from the airport. Efficient at counter

Cons: Large money taken 1100 euros deposit. Full to full fuel policy but 124 euros "deposit" for it. Then try to hit you with an excess charge of 216 euros. I bought excess Insurance online for 25 euros & refused their offer. I understand the need to cover their car but It just requires a hold. But no, they take it and then don't return it for around 3 weeks. This puts you at risk of exchange rate fluctuation & not getting it all back. Usual hidden charges & money making tactics.

The cards worked in any other locations on Crete on the same day. This implies that there was something wrong or purposely wrong with your terminal not our cards. This qualifies as a scam. Cons: Fikk ikke den opprinnelige bilen jeg hadde bestilt, men fornøyd likevel.

Pros: Vi blev hentet i lufthavnen af en meget flink og behagelig chauffør/agent og kørt i minibus til kontoret 4 km fra lufthavnen. Her blev vi modtaget og fik tilbud om at købe en forsikring der dækker alt for 29Euro om dagen. Så ku vi lave alle typer skader på bilen( for så vidt også køre den i havnen) bare vi havde bilnøglen med tilbage. Der ville ikke blive stillet spørgsmål om evt. påførte skader. Det blev der heller ikke selvom vi havde en mindre skade på bagkofangeren da vi kom tilbage.

Cons: The car hire company charged over twice the agreed amount because I arrived a couple of hours late. There was no warning in the contract that this would happen - only a very elliptical statement in the voucher.

He did not receive us with any professional this gentleman was extremely uncourteous and unfriendly, he told me that the manager has stopped him for charging us for the scratch. And then he returned my fuel money but deducted €24 from me ..I returned the car with full tank. I don't understand how can he justify this.

Cons: I'd like to share the following improvement points: - car given with 40% filling of the tank; the formula advertised was the usual "full to full", so it would be better that Centauro aligns with that - the car was brand new and indicated in the damages report at the check-in as flawless; when I inspected it, the front plate was quite damaged. I totally trust the good faith of the agent but again it is better that the agent knows and reports the correct status of the car

Pros: Used them before and found them to be efficient and friendly and great value with quality cars.

Cons: A couple of differences in arrangements compared to what I'd booked. Rather than the usual full to full fuel arrangement. I was given half a tank with €62 taken on my card and expected to bring it back with exactly half again to reclaim my money. Not what I signed up with Discover for. Car I received was slightly bigger than paid for and brand , spanking new. Though nice I was warned that the tiniest scratch would merit the company's minimum claim of €350!

Cons: I had to wait for another 4 drivers at the airport so that they don't make multiple trips to the rental office. I also had to leave my family behind at the airport in order to do so. A 4cm scratch and a light scuff was already present on the front bumper and they claimed the scuff was new. Even though the 4cm scratch is ignored, they didn't ignore it and they blamed me for the scuff. A charge of 400euro was applied for a damage I did not cause. Avoid at any cost, dodgy service, unprofessional.!!

Cons: Didn’t take my AMX. Wanted a $1500 deposit but then said as the money was processed and returned a % of the money would not be returned due to credit card company.??or I could give the a flat extra fee of $300.

Cons: The flight was late and it was difficult to reach Centauro to get the car rental place. Luckily the service car arrived dropping off another customer. First thing agent said was additional cost for renting as it was few minutes outside of the office hours. Secondly the agent in the rental place was hardly trying to convince me that full insurance that I purchased from Discover cars is not good and I should be aware of it. Between Discover cars and car rental this issue should be improved!

Cons: I had to pay much more than that quoted by you. The sat nav did not work. I had to queue for over an hour at 1am to get my car.

Pros: Kind, understanding and wanted me to have the best car available.

Cons: The shuttle service both ways was a little wonky. We couldn't find the shuttle based on the direction given in the booking so we had to call and then it took some time for the service guy to help us by the end, but it wasn't bad.

We were not able to take photos on pick up as it was night and there was no lighting - the flash in our photos washed out the photos. They did not have photos themselves. But we know there was only a one hour window in the whole week when the car was unattended and could have been scratched (it was on a private drive). In short, we think we were scammed.

Cons: I had to pay another $150 euro as the full coverage was not full. I am told nothing over $2000 was covered. I would never recommend Discover cars or Centuro. It was very disappointing.

Long and difficult pick up-we were first offered a car that didn’t match the DC category description (3 doors vs 5). We also had to pay an extra fuel deposit that had to be charged to the drivers card,and we haven’t seen this information in the rental conditions. Also remaining rental fee had to be the drivers card,which was inconvenient.The car drivers window didn’t work and engine control was on

Cons: Terrible car check out process. We had to wait in line nearly an hour. Agent helped people first who didn't have reservations, even though we already had booked online. Then helped another couple first that arrived at the shuttle after us. Very time consuming to both shuttle and then have to wait such a long time.

Cons: I ordered a car full to full but got the one where I had to return with certain tank ratio. Some of the damages were unmarked - I had to discover them myself.

Cons: We were expressly told we weren’t covered by insurance even though I had taken this out fully when booking the car. This also happened to another couple who had booked through a third party whilst they weee next to us. It was either take the insurance out with them and be covered or pay full deposit and according to them we aren’t covered. Felt a bit scammed to be honest and wasn’t sure what we should do so we took their word for it. I would not book through these again because of this.

Pros: Good customer service at rental office in Chania. Friendly shuttle bus driver.

Cons: The fuel level was marked as 60% but there was less than 40% of fuel. I think Centauro should change Fuel policy from 1-1 (examle: you take 40% to back 40%) to full to full. There will be no place for dispute.

Cons: The 200 EUR insurance I HAD to take even tho I had the insurance from discovercarhire. Also I had to wait for shuttle service and queue at their office and because of that had to pay 40EUR extra for out of office fee. In conclusion the car was more than dubble the price that I got from discovercarrental!!!

Cons: They should define in details the roads that they deem has not fit to drive there cars on, because of the state of there main highways this cost me in the excess of £420 in damages, plus the recovery was abismal and the staff member i dealt with had no customer satisfaction manners!!!
