Cons: Got much smaller car than ordered. Overheard that car was double booked. Bag couldn’t fit inside trunk. Have to pay more for bigger car.

Pros: The ladies who served us on arrival and departure were lovely. When also ringing out of hours twice, I didn't get a response but a woman rang me back not long after. We were struggling to find the desk and to be fair to the woman did everything she could to help us. There were also no surprise costs to the car hire.

Cons: The car provided was no where near what we excepted. We went to Crete for a wedding and all our friends who hired cars from other places had better quality cars and car seats for the money we paid.

Pros: Car was ok.

Cons: At first we couldn't find a company in terminal. The sign was so small that we walk pass that. Even airport information person and taxi drivers didn't know where it was. I try to call discovercar voucher number but anyone didn't answer. I googled the company and got a real number and finaly we found it. They sell us their own insurance and said that discovercars full coverage insurance is bad, if something happends you need to do lots of paperwork etc..

Pros: Friendly on pickup and spoke good English which was appreciated.

Cons: Hard to locate the desk as only a small sign. On return no one was there so we had to wait. The car had some sand in from our beach visits but nothing major, the agent turned hostile after the inspection and said we’d left the car very dirty. On other holidays this hasn’t been a problem before but we paid (over £60) for the car to be cleaned. The unnecessary negative attitude of Cargini staff was our last experience of Crete and shame to end our holiday like that.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 650.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 72.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in English alphabet.

Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Deposit and deductible policy
A separate fuel deposit is required when collecting the vehicle.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Greece - Crete Island.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge. The supplier will hold the vehicle for 1 hour after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
