MOVIS Car Rental at Marrakech Airport

Cons: Slow pick up - 45 minutes, low agent helpfulness. AC worked only cca 30% - when was outside 20C, it was so so OK, when was outside 30C, it was not able to cool down interior. We complained about it during pick up, but agent said, he has no a different car and other car will cost + 100 EUR (even we asked for smaller car to change). The car was very dirthy inside - we were asked to returned it clean, so we returned in better condition, then received (interior) - should be opposite approach.

Pros: Movis was cheap and the pick up/drop off process was quick and easy. The car was clean and worked perfectly. Upon return, the agent confirmed there were no issues with the car and the deposit was refunded within 24 hours.

Cons: The car rental itself is quite hard to find and it wasn’t so clear until we asked somebody. You can find it behind the other rental stalls and it is a dark blue van that they operate out of.

Cons: My flight was delayed by 2 hours, so I informed the agency, but the representative was rude and forced me to pay an extra €100 to keep my reservation, claiming it was for an upgrade. However, upon arrival, I was given a Citroën Élysée, the same category as the Dacia Logan, yet still charged the fee. The car was dirty and shook at speeds over 100 km/h. When returning it, they tried to charge me for a car wash, even though I had received it dirty. Luckily, I had a video as proof. Very disappointi

Pros: Car wasn’t new but this turned out to be a positive rather than negative. Driving in Marrakesh is an adventure on its own, a new shiny car would only bring the stress to the experience. If renting again I’d be insisting on getting an older car with battle marks. Don’t get me wrong, they have plenty of newer cars but when you have mopeds all around you within a few inches, the small scratches are not something that you want to worry about. I managed without one but it’s likely you may get a mark.

Pros: Users should be aware that ‘Movis’ is United, one of the lower rated car suppliers in Marrakech. We were concerned to discover this when we arrived as we had read many poor reviews for united and didn’t want to use them out of concern for our two young children, however what we can say is that our Dacia Dokker was in fact fine and the service overall was actually very good, despite the entire operation being run from a van in the carpark (not from an office).

Cons: The Dokker was quite damaged overall (not a bad thing in Morocco!) & also had a dashboard warning light on when we collected it which made us nervous, but it worked ok. It was described as 5 door, but in fact only had 4 working doors- it was a van derived version, & 1 of the 2 rear barn doors were faulty. With the acces to the back restricted on one side this made getting our two kids into their car seats tricky (to say the least) but given the crazy low price we paid it’s hard to complain.

Pros: The pick-up at Marrakesh airport was good. It was right in the parking lot, everything was done from the van the agent was sitting in. The car was OK, but the air conditioner wasn't working properly all the time.

Cons: We had to pay to exit the Marrakesh airport parking lot, which we didn't expect and were not prepared for. The agent didn't mention anything to us when we were picking up the car and it wasn't mentioned anywhere when I was reserving the car. The drop-off at Casablanca airport was very confusing, as we had no idea where to go and also the van where the agent was waiting for us, wasn't even Movis. It had United written on it. Nobody told us where to find this when we were picking up the car.

Pros: Nothing - people unfriendly

Cons: Very unfair. Plane was late so we were alte and they cancelled our booking and charged us double. Car in very bad condition. spare wheel was flat, one tyre was loosing preassure. car had lots of schraches and damages and they tried to suggest that this is our damage. They don't take any photos and I had to prove that this is old damage with my photos. At the end they charged me 20 euro thet car was not clean. Movis company made me feeling unsecure, threaten and my stay in Marocco was not nice.

Pros: Very good service, excellent car, no issues in any way

Pros: It was very easy to arrange with a few clicks on the computer. The car was ok, the informatie correct so i will use discovercars again for sure

Cons: Our flight was delayed. When we arrived there was no meet or greet. We rang the movis number and was told that as we weren’t in the two hour window we had lost our booking and our car given away. The only car they had was an extra 100euros. There was nothing about this in the terms and conditions and when we politely pointed this out the operator was very rude and then hung up. In the end we had to pay an extra 65 euros to get a car. Awful rude movis

Cons: They were not there to collect the car at Agadir airport, we were waiting for an hour for someone to take the car from us at drop off. At collection, we were 40 minutes late because the flight was delayed and they had re-rented our car to someone else. We then had to pay an additional 70 euros to hire a car. The car we had was very battered, the door locks didn't work because someone had tried to break into it. Avoid Avoid!

Pros: My experience with Movis was excellent! Their services were quick, and the car they provided met all my expectations. Their agent, Soukaina, was incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you, Movis!

Pros: It was cheaper than others and the car was as advertised - Dacia Duster

Cons: They tried to charge me €100 for an extra driver that I hadn’t asked for and then also charged me in local currency at their own rate so more than the €409 I had booked it at - they than charged me an additional €20 to have the car washed when I returned it something 8 have never heard of before !?!?

Pros: It went quick. Car was alright.

Cons: Hard to find, bit shady. Still don’t have the deposit back (a week later) although they said ‘max two days’ when returning it.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Took so long. Had to wait in the heat as they operated out a run down van. The car was given dirty and they expected us to give it back clean. The car made a lot of noise as if it was going to fall apart. Terrible car and company. Would rather go to another rental company.

Pros: The drop off in tángiers was smooth and quick, with absolutely no issues whatsoever.

Cons: We had to wait 1 hour for the car to arrive. The car was old and banged up everywhere which worried us. However, I have to say that nothing happened and the car made it all the way with no issues.
