Dirent a car Greece at Thessaloniki Airport

Pros: + very friendly stuff + quick car hand over and return + fair price

Cons: - No contact before arriving to the airport in Thessaloniki. I didn't reach anyone on the land line (but it was almost 9 pm.) and was not even sure how the pickup was going to work. - the car was a bit older, but for the price acceptable and we had no technical issue during our rental period which is the most important in the end.

Cons: They didn't have a POS terminal and didn't fix it for 9 days. They also didn't inform us about that and forced us to withdraw money from a bank. Next time, I will call the police. This is unacceptable!

Pros: Only the transfer driver to/from the airport was polite and thoughtful.

Cons: We were given a car which was not safe to travel. Was full of dents and bumps and was a noisy drive. When a part of the car fall off, the rental company instead of offering us solutions, they advised us that they were covered by law, holding no responsibility of the safety and maintenance of the car. We had to spend our days quarreling over the phone and actually take care of the repair so we can drive the car on our own time and expense. Customer service and vehicle condition were appalling.

Pros: I have been renting cars from Dirent since 2014 and I have been quite happy so far.

Cons: Direct has not renewed the fleet for a long time. I was given a car with 147K km and during my rent I faced problems with ABS system and had to take the car to a garage. That was waste of time and extra stress for me and m6 family. They offered me the option of replacing the car but I refused due to the higher number of km that the second car would have. At the end of the day I ended up driving a car with 4 warming lamps on in the dashboard and ABS out of service.

Pros: They were great, very helpful and responsive. Willing to change booking at short notice to fit changes in our schedule. Helpful and efficient staff.

Cons: The car was a total mess. Stained on the inside, smaller than the category we needed ( we received a fiat which for sure was one size smaller than the Skoda Oktavia we paid for even though in their own documentation was the same. I have tried to reason with them about upgrading and protecting the excess and the answer I have got was: ‘ if you do not like they will cancel the reservation. This at 9 in the evening after a long trip from uk after a long flight. Sad

Cons: The car they offered was not fit for use on any road. They refused to change to a better car in the same class. The tires were low, the car vibrated excessively even below the posted speed limits. The shifter boot was loose and flopped around; they said that a problem with Fiats (not any I've previously rented).

Cons: The car was 2016 provided!!! We order Nisan suv but got Reno captur which was pretty old and small

Cons: לא אהבתי את היחס שקיבלתי בהחזרת הרכב . בנוסף לא אהבתי את תשלום השוחד ואת העיקוב ואת זה שהייתי צריך לקחת את הרכב לשטיפה ובאופן כללי חשתי שהעובדים במקום מפחדים מהאחראי של התחנה שצרח עלינו וגם הם פחדו לדבר איתו

Pros: I appreciated the fact that we were picked up from the airport and later after dropping off the car taken back to the airport.

Cons: High deposit. I made a travel insurance in my country which contained an insurance for damage on car rentals already but I didnt do my research and find out too late that there is high deposit.

Pros: The car was exactly we ordered and the hiring process was very smooth

Pros: In general a good agency, nice staff, fair prices. But the way they treated the return of the car and a tiny scratch that was found on the door were disappointing.

Cons: Got a brand new car, which in general is a good thing, but when we returned the car they inspected the car with magnifying glasses looking for scratches. Roads in Greece have lots of plants on the side, and I was charged for a tiny scratch at the bottom of one of the doors. Waiting for 4 days already for the company to send me over the filles I need for the full insurance claim, though they promised they will send it on the same day.

Cons: Booked a car through Dirent a car because of the good reviews. We were picked up from another company without any notice. We placed in a very old Van and drove to a very old and messy office and rude staff, not the best place to welcome and bring tourists! We were given a peugeot 301? With a 1.2-liter engine, a very big car with a very small engine, and 5 years old, not ideal to travel around northern Greece in 2021. I called Dirent to complained about the car and its condition.

Pros: Very kind and very courteous attitude of the staff. We were refunded the taxi fee even though we did not have the receipts for the trips.

Cons: In the order was a transporter, we got a Fiat. The car had no charge for smartphone, audio system, radio, bad. After the first trip, the vehicle stopped. Electrical fault in the starting system. 24 hours we had no car at all we drove in taxis.
