Centauro at Thessaloniki Airport

Cons: I am very disappointed that I was forced to pay €300,00 for full insurance because I needed to collect the car earlier than planned.( This was because I had to be at the airport to meet a friend who had travelled from the UK and she was taken ill on the flight. I did not want her to have to wait for three hours before I could pick her up because she had to be in Kassandreia by 12:30. I feel that some compassion should have been shown instead of taking advantage of my situation)

Cons: Unprofessional staff CAR WAS NOT ROAD WORTHY

Cons: At the reception of Centauro the person who gave me the vehicle although I have ordered it online he tried to push me to pay more than 100% more for insurance, cancel the order from discovery cars and order it from Centauro directly. He was so persistant that I did not want to rent it anymore. He tried to scare me and even a scrach would cost me 1100 euro

Cons: Car had a lot of scratches. Checks had to be made by me and had lots of photos taken just in case an issue occurs.

Cons: The drop-off speed and process was very disappointing and stress full, since the employee required too many proofs of non-damages to the car and in a vary inappropriate manner

Cons: They were trying to blame me for several tiny marks on the car as well as for one on the mirror of the car less than 1cm long . They demanded that i show them on video that i had recorded myself that it was there when i took the car . i did so for 3 of the marks that preexisted but i had not taken clear video of the mirror and the agent said they are going to charge me. When i stated that they should be those to prove that the mark was not there when i took the car things changeBe extra careful

Pros: Nothing. The staff were trying to force me to take their insurance. They charged me 400 euros for two minor scuffs on the alloys!!!! Unbelievable.!! You can but a set of 4 new alloys for that money. She even told me the true cost was 800 euros but she was doing me a favor. ! It costs 10 euros to fix it and it is a wear and tear item. This company are clearly scammers, I. Surprised any agency would add them to their list of suppliers.

Cons: Very persvasive for mevto buy insurance even if I had from Discover cars. Did not record all the damages(were two close to each other) but apparantly only one marked in their documents. If I didnt have had a video of the car they would have charged me for a damage that was already there from the beginning

Cons: the transfer from the airport to the Centauro headquarters very poor .only one mini minibus came for the transfer... even though there were over 20 people who had rented cars and wanted to get to the Centauro headquarters.

Pros: Great cars with low mileage. However, my car had stained upholstery and minor damage on the front bumper --- that was just a matter of appearance, though, and did not affect at all its function.

Cons: Service agents are relatively slow both at pickup and return; that's partly a matter of low staffing levels and partly of the contract setup process. Note that Centauro does not have agents dedicated to car returns so that customers may return quickly and get to their flights on time --- so return the car early!

Cons: I have waited for the shuttle bus for 45 minutes upon arrival. And it is noted that they come every 10/15 minutes.

Cons: My debit card with more than enough balance was not accepted as usually is in others rentals. Technically they have the right since they put it on the policy, so they neither have me the car nor returned my deposit.

Cons: I was forced to pay the 75EUR so called smart insurance although I have had paid already at booking for the full insurance as mentioned. When I have asked what will happen with the 28EUR which I have paid in advance online with Revolut Mastercard when I was booking the car via discovercars.com they said that they are not interested, it is my problem, they have nothing to do with the agent! Then why they are working together with discovercars? @discovercars: why are you working with Centauro?

Cons: I was not allowed to rent a car, as I did not possess a credit card (Centauro policy). It was not enough to have a debit card. This information was not that evident, not highlighted enough, when booking the car at your web site. Thus I have not been able to get a refund of my booking fee of 50 €. What do I need to do in order to get a refund of the booking fee?

Pros: Staff was very efficient and the process was fast and easy.

Cons: The car needed oil change. Light and warnings were on the entire time.

Cons: When we got to Thessaloniki we went to the designated pick-up area. We waited for 20 minutes and then I gave Centauro a call. The CSR said her driver was on her way and will be there in 15 minutes - this did not make sense as Centauro is only a few kilometers of-site. Nevertheless we continued waiting for another 20 minutes and then I made a follow-up call. We then waited for another 10 minutes before the driver finally showed up. No apologies from the driver, nor from the CSR in the office. Bad

Pros: Staff was kind, prompt, helpful. location near airport, great car (recent year, well cleaned, low consumption, reliable, comfortable, zero issues)

Cons: The service was almost perfect so the below is just for the companys consideration for further improvement. - Could improve in the time required to pick up from the airport. (had to wait 35 minutes total) - Could improve speed of pickup process (total 45 minutes) The above issues were minor though. The overall experience was great.

Cons: We did not know that they themselves had included in the contract that we had to pay € 116.00 in advance for a full tank. That was nowhere in Discover cars' contract but only in their own contract in Greek. That was annoying. In the end, when we returned the car with a full tank (€ 50.00), we did receive the € 116.00 back that we had to advance. I understand, but it would have been nice if this had also been included in the Discover cars contract. We ended up booking with them.

Cons: As a repeat customer, I always rent cars with my debit card (placing an amount as indemnity), but the last time, without any previous notification, they refused to accept it, unless only if I paid a huge insurance plan. Very disappointed, I will never use Centuro again.

Pros: Exceptional value for money, great car, clean comfortable, reliable and fuel efficient. Absolutely no issues.

Cons: They tried to sell me extra insurance and "free" upgrade. What I'd did not like most was the fact that the car was not delivered full as written in the voucher but 6/8 of the tank. In addition. To that I had to pay for the fuel (deposit) and when I mentioned that to the counter I was told that I should have read the terms and conditions of their website and not from the broker which I found super annoying.

Cons: Better information when I picked up the car about how I could extend my rental if I wanted to when I asked at the desk. The simple answer was "Go online". When I actually had done this you explained very well how I should have done it although this was impossible because you were unable to send me a password to my email so I had to abrupt my vacation by four days and bring back the car.

Cons: Felt like this was a scam to take my money and then make me spend more.

Cons: I chose Centauro because they advertised full to full petrol. I've used them twice recently & the fuel tank want full on either occasion - very annoying.

Cons: This is the worst rental ever. We ended leaving the place with our deposit of 75€ just to be sure we’ll not lose any more money. We payed full insurance to discovercars and then they asked us for another deposit for real full insurance because disovercars take that money for them as fee. Absolutely don’t ever think to rent a car from them because they are stealing, both from clients and their rentals. They are not working in good faith and trying to deceive you. Avoid!!

Cons: It stated Meet & Greet. It was a shuttle bus. we had to wait 30 mins. 1) they claimed the extra insurance I had bought through DiscoverCars was no good and I should get their significantly more expensive insurance. I had to tell them No many times while they told me about everything that could go wrong, 2) They were very pushy for me to pay extra for a larger car. I had to say No many times 3) on returning the car, they claimed damages. Fortunately I had Photos and they accepted them.

Cons: Pick up & drop off sites quiet a journey from the airport. Access to the drop off site (at Athens Airport) awful Good job that we had left plenty of time! Poor return experience, hassled twice over non return even although the car was returned on time at the correct location.

Cons: Everything was ok, but the tank wasn't full when I picked up the car. This is an issue as is very difficult to drop the car with the tank exactly how you picked it up, so I would suggest to change that policy to hand over a car with a full tank.

Cons: The pick up and drop off is not at the airport We had already been in Thessaloniki so had to find location and dropping off could be difficult to follow sat nav, without it v difficult

Pros: The ease of meet and greet service.

Cons: The damage to the car was not recorded and was then assumed it was us. We were made to feel like we had to buy damage waiver and insurance for a substantial amount of money, and felt that we were being taken advantage of.

Pros: Nothing at all.

Cons: The staff was rude and not on time. There was a couple from abroad waiting for a car and the staff were discussing how they will ask for extra money.
