Pros: Car was good price.

Cons: The car given (hatchback nissan) was smaller than the car I booked (Peugeot 380) and therefore boot for luggage was smaller, but we could still fit all in the car. The agent (female) became very irritated about the size car we had paid for and the amount of luggage we had. Was so relieved she was not there when we dropped off the car as really never want to deal with her again.

Cons: 3d: We'd asked several time to return the car at least the time we had it - after noon. They had said only at 11:00 as a policy. It had said on the chat with them. as I'd said - "several times". Later as we come home we saw they'd send a mail by Fri, May 5, 4:55 PM that we can return on the same time we had the car 15:27. Our flight was at 18:50 so we liked to spend more time at city.

Pros: Free shuttle from the airport to the car rental depot.

Cons: Only Credit card is accepted for blocking the deposit at the pick up. We only had a debit card and wasn't possible to proceed. The matter was solved with a cash deposit to be refunded at the drop off. If your not carrying so much cash with you or you are not planning to withdraw money from ATM abroad can create you some discomfort.

Pros: The lady we dropped the car off with was very efficient.

Cons: I was left waiting with my family for 50 mins at arrivals at Theseloniki airport before being picked up by the promised transfer bus to take us to the off-airport car pick up site. The telephone number given to contact Abbeycar was incorrect and did not connect and I had to obtain the assistance of the representative of another car hire firm to get the correct number for Abbeycar to alert them to come and pick us up. When the transfer bus eventually arrived, there was no apology or acknowledgent

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 70.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU countries.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, return flight ticket, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

It is allowed to add up to 2 additional drivers.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Winter tires are not mandatory in Greece.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 60 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
