Pros: It's my third time renting from TopCar and I always had good experiences. Helpful, efficient staff and good vale for money.

Cons: Normally I would expect the rental car to have at least half a tank full (ideally full to full as it is the easiest to return with the same level). My rental car this time had so low fuel level that the fuel light was on - not only this was a little annoying as I had to get fuel straight away at 22.30 but it was basically impossible for me to return the car with such low level of fuel. I ended up returning it with more for which I am not entitled for any refund.

Cons: We never even picked the car up, because when we got to the rental desk, the queue was almost out the terminal and in the 30 minutes we spent waiting, it didn't move. Went to Auto Reisen and hired a car for a similar price, excellent quality, and insurance included - took less than 5 minutes. Absolutely disgusting service, and made me choose between wasting £70 or wasting what would probably have been about 2 hours of my holiday. Made the right choice but still feel totally aggrieved.

The booking confirmation wasnt from TopCar directly but from some company in Lithuania. As we didnt want to run the risk of having to handle issues with this Lithuanian online company, we paid the 45 euros. Still, I think this part was a rip-off just to earn extra

Cons: I had to ask them 10 times to sign the paper that care was damaged and the fuel was not full, they told me just take a photo you do not have to write it on the paper you have full insurance. Be carful first you sign the blank paper be or you see the car if not you will not get it, but you get one more paper so really look the car write all on that second paper and get there signature and take foto of the agreement. We did not have problems, they were friendly but you never know.

It came back after 30 mins and then we could get it. I would like to get my money back, please.

Cons: However, if I were to suggest an area for improvement, it would be the absence of a mobile phone holder for navigation purposes within the vehicle. While this may seem like a minor inconvenience, having a dedicated holder would have enhanced the convenience and safety of navigating unfamiliar roads during my travels.

Pros: Couldn’t supply the 9 seater Car we had booked , stating that DiscoverCars had changed the car to a 7 seater

I made sure to ask for full coverage on a car rental and when we arrived to pick up the car the agent told us that the coverage that we paid was NOT their coverage So we had to pay twice!!! Upon my return I send an email to Discover car to hear that them say that I should not have taken another coverage YET on the other end they told me I would not be covered SCAM!!!

Cons: Bringing the car back was confusing and unclear. All lanes in Tenerife were marked car rental, but nothing was marked car return. so, if you pulled into the wrong lane, you had no access to returning the car and were stuck in a public lot (for which you had to pay, even if you were in for 10 seconds. ) Its stress no one needs in a foreign country and is easily remedied by better signage.

The car was dented and keyed all over tbf it was in a terrible state but it was this or nothing.

The first car we received had a broken AC so after a 5 min drive I took the exit ramp to reverse back to the airport. The second car we received was a different brand and model. It had had a basic clean. During the rental period it ran out of wiper fluid, as that probably hadnt been filled up in a while. TopCar can take better care of its cars.

I rented a car with automatic transmission (citroen) with fuel policy full-full Was upgraded to a brand new vw golf (automatic) and for the “inconvenience” was allowed to return the car empty. I returned yesterday and saw on my creditcard overview that my deposit is already planned to be returned.

In future Top car should take photos, or at least walk each person to the car and catalogue, otherwise it will be a picture from the recipient which does not align with their audit history

The car door had an issue and their response was I had a full coverage, no problem. There were 6 people at the pick up location and none was helpful. Never from TooCar again.

Cons: I rented the car at the south airport and turned it in at the north airport. It was very confusing turning the car in. I did not see signs indicating where to return the car. I left the keys at the return desk but did not receive an inspection or receipt.

Pros: The original car we were given had a problem with the air conditioning. We returned to tenerife south and were immediately given a different car which worked well. The service was excellent

Cons: The car we got was not road worthy. We believe (from the dents and handling) that it had been in an accident and not properly repaired. In side was dirty and stained. The Topcar desk staff at the airport deployed super pushy and intimidating sales techniques and were rude when we did not buy extra insurance.

Cons: Picking up the car, the representative didn't have full attention to the customer, was with her phone in her hands, and didn't communicate well. The car itself was squeaking while riding it, the brake pads were worn out so you could hear the brake disks while braking. Also, the car didn't have parking sensors, making it difficult to park the car safely. The car only had 30k on the odometer but it was worn out and needs some love in order to ride smooth again.
