Cons: Waited for 1.5hrs to get to the desk. Once at the desk I was told that my Discover Cars Voucher had been cancelled because it was an 11am booking but my flight did not land until 6pm. I put in my flight details into Discover Cars and so do not know why it was set at 11am. I had to spend an additional €590 for a hire car directly with GoldCar instead.

There are two Goldcar desks — one inside the baggage claim area and one outside — but this isn’t made clear until you arrive. We ended up in the external queue, which took around 40 minutes despite having a ticket system. There was quite a hard sell for additional insurance, although we declined as we had credit card cover. After that, it’s about a five-minute walk to the external car park.

They also tried to get me to upgrade the car as they said the one I'd booked was not powerful enough. I did not upgrade and the car was fine. I have also not received my fuel deposit which I was told would be done automatically upon the return of the car with a full tank of fuel. Not done! I am trying to claim a refund from GoldCar for the mis-sold insurance but this is proving to be very hard.

Cons: Rude personnel upon returning, despite no other returns they were not willing to check the car on the go. Car had lot more damage than indicated in the report. Quick return of deposit (2days).

Cons: I filled the fuel tank up before returning the car from the nearest petrol station, which was about 6km from the car drop-off site. When we returned the car, the staff just told us to go without checking it. Goldcar later emailed me that they had charged me €61 for not returning the car with full fuel. €50 as a penalty and €11 for fuel. There was no way I could dispute it. We couldn't have used €11 worth of fuel for 6km of ride, and the €50 fine was unjustified.

Pros: The only thing I liked was that I'd only paid a small deposit of €40 euros online. So when I realised they were wanting an extra €210 to cover the high excesses I just left the booking and went with Autoreisin. Saving over €150 euros for the same period of time and cover.

I should have read the terms and conditions but original voucher said I had insurance. Goldcar explained that discover car should make it easier for customers to see when booking So both companies blaming each other. I'm glad they only got €40 euros and the rest of my money went to Autoreisin. Far better company than these 2 scammers.

Cons: Just pickup was unexpectedly long. Waited for a full hour, or maybe a bit more to talk to an agent. And it was not a long line. Anyways. I was on vacay, and took it easy :-)

Cons: The car we got Citroen C3 was pretty used up and we ended with a puncture on tires with almost no tread. Secondary insurance (Revolut) covered it, so no big deal, but the replacement car we got (VW Polo) was equally beaten and high mileage. It didn't even have rear parking sensors and the AC had a bad smell too.

Cons: Question if Discover cars provide enough insurance for full cover. Gold Car give you a hard sell for their insurance at the pick up desk, saying the third party insurance provider does not cover all. Gold Car wanted to double the price of rental with their insurance cover added.

Pros: Was quite quick in getting the car, easy drop off at the airport.

Cons: The first car was I nearly lost control due to an electrical issue. Once it was parked it was completely dead, all on the first 3 hours of getting the car. The second car was a bit better, but had many dents, broken bits and scratches on the bodywork. I went to use the screen wash and it was completely empty, then I noticed the coolant was below the minimum. I was wondering why the car was getting pretty hot quickly. Also the clutch must be on it's way out as the bit point was really high.

Cons: I waited in for nearly 2 hours to pick the car up. There were 3 different types of numbers going up on the board and for long periods none of the tickets beginning with C were being posted until an irate Spanish teenager started shouting at the desk and then he got seen immediately. I ended up paying 3 times what i was quoted initially because they would not accept my credit card because it was on my phone and i dont have a physical TERRIBLE SERVICE. I will not use you again

Cons: The woman at the desk confused me, speaking two different languages at the same time and made me pay 208 eruo instad of 70 ish as initially booked. She offered of course full coverage but told that was going to be 104 in total not additional to the initial price. Very unfair. My fault that i signed the contract and paid without paying attention but we had been lining up for 1.5 hours and we ended up getting out of there after 9.30pm.

Cons: Absolutely everything, process took Almost 90 mins from arriving at their desk to getting the keys. Then a half Mike walk uphill to the car rental place, to pick up a battered, scratched dented car that was not full of fuel indicated, tried to complain they disagreed with everything I said really bad attitude. The car brakes rubbed and grated the whole holiday the oil light kept coming on everytime we went up hill. Just as bad when dropping thw car off, shocking waste of time and money.

The dialog and typing/signing process seems as if we were still in the 90’s. Technologically, we must be in a more advanced and faster place for good costumer service now. In Denmark you can rent a car on the street and open it with an app on your phone.
