Cons: We were very careful to read the terms etc and it stated that we needed to pay a huge 'deposit' on a credit card. When we offered an amex credit card (not charge card) it was refused thus forcing us into purchasing over priced insurance even though we already had enough insurance and offering other cards in the family name. They also charged 40 euros for a late pick up at 4mins past 11pm the late service start. Seemed like a lot of money making excuses and not much customer service.

Cons: I was told I had to pay extra insurance for the car or I was not aloud to take the car. I said I wanted to pay the €2000 euro deposit instead and I was told that was not possible . I was also told I cannot get a refund as I wanted to go else where and hire from a different company. The man at the record go desk said discover cars are a rip off and the extra insurance I paid for with them was void and didn’t cover my car. Really spoiled the start of my family holiday and would never use again

Cons: Lots of different instructions from different agents (for example person in terminal said I had to inspect car and report any faults not already documented to person giving me the key. The person who gave me the key insisted this was wrong and I should just take photos. Paperwork said to submit photos, but agent said that was wrong but I could “do whatever I want”)! Long wait for collection and drop off. Insurance issue basically a scam.

Cons: Had to pay twice for insurance, recordgo said it doesn’t matter if I paid to discover car’s as it didn’t recognise the website insurance and were very abrupt on this point. Ordered a seat Leon and received a very underpowered fait 500l, which is very dangerous going over the mountains in Spain and articulate lorries pass you. Car was only clean on the outside (car wash)no attention to detail. Picking up the car, attitude of the member of staff from recordgo was poor, basically take or leave it.

RecordGo didn't know that my order featured a second driver. They also tried to charge me for insurance, duplicating the insurance that I had already bought from DiscoverCars.com.

Staff didn’t understand extra insurance bought online and so tried to double sell cover (online issuer even said this would be the case but still very pressured at point of sale). Cheap, yes, but awful in all other ways - customer service especially. Would not recommend.

When the lady behind the desk manipulated with my bank card, she charded me 50€ without my knowledge! I found out it later when I had a look on my bank account. Took time to report & then they gave me no updated paperwork to protect me. Signage for the return in the car park is incorrect and frustrating.

When I returned the car I have subsequently found 2 additional unauthorised transactions totalling £200 against my credit card. FOR WHAT? There has been no communication, no emails, the only way to complain is via an email which may take 5-7 days to get a reply. As I have no idea what these costs are for I regard these transactions as FRAUDULENT.

Cons: There simply isn't enough agents and collecting the car was not good. A long wait to see an agent to get the keys and leave. A lot of people waiting. Eventually we had to protest because we had somewhere we needed to be and the queuing system was very, very slow. It should not take 40+ minutes to collect a car during a daytime on a weekend.

Cons: Only one card rule that forces you to only use your visa for the fare, the fuel deposit and the excess deposit. Very dodgy that the contract didn't report any damage and I found 16 dents/scratches/damages on the car, that were impossible to be done all on the previous rentand it was also dirty inside with sweat stains on the seats. they didn't update the contract and only handwritten that the car had many damages, which lets me think that they prey on unaware clients that trust them.

Cons: Despite buying full cover insurance I was still expected to pay £1400 pounds as security. The time to pick up the car was excessive and getting somone to confirm scratches that were not identiifed on their form was hard work. My family had 2 disbaled people and we were expected to wait long periods of time and walk to various points to get the car sorted. Very little recognition of the impact of any of this inconvenience by Record-go staff at Malaga. Not a great start to a holiday.
Pros: Please do not use record go. Company are very dishonest. If u don't take their insurance. They will find the most subtle pre existing damage and try to claim your deposit for it. They charged me £400 for the rubber on the mesh/bumper not being attached properly . This damage was pre existing and there's no way I would have recognised this as a damage . Please avoid

Pros: They are friendly when they are taking your money.
Cons: A lot of pressure is put on you to make upsale purchases on pick up. Staff are rude, uninterested and dismissive. Even worse on the phone a staff member hung up on me then refused to pick up my following 8 calls. Mind you this was without an argument or disagreement, I was rushed to mention what the call was about then he said I can't help you and hung up. Even at the desk when asking for help the staff were dismissive. Customer service is non existent.

Cons: Easily the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had (and this must be at least the 25th time I’ve rented a car in Spain, Italy, France & the Canary Islands. For convenience, I chose to take your “Full Insurance” believing a was fully covered, with just a small local charge of €28 to pay - and then after a 55-minute wait to speak to someone at the collection desk in Malaga - I was told that I had to pay a further €127 Euros for “full Insurance”. A terrible experience.

Cons: the car had the service overdue light on from the minute i picked it up. the car was dirty inside. still had sand down the sides of the seats etc etc After driving only 30km the oil warning light came on. It was low on oil. it had never been checked before i got it. I had to purchase oil(10 euro) and top up. ok after that

Cons: Over charged me with excess insurance. After drop off they charged me extra for something wrong with my car even though i knew nothing about it.
Pros: The car was great except one thing, all scratches on the car which of course was worrying if you would blame me the renter even though they were already there...
