Record go at Malaga Airport

Pros: The car was nice but not really very clean, there was a sticky area on the inside screen on the passenger side where tape had been applied to hold something in place in the screen. It was a bonus to have ability to plug in my iPhone to use maps.

Cons: We found staff no very helpful on returning the car and didn’t want to inspect the car, we had to interrupt staff serving new collections ( a long queue) just to hand the keys back along with many other confused drivers also trying to return their car. It all seemed very unorganised with 2 offices and took longer than necessary to collect the car.

Pros: all very good , bit busy at pick up, but that could be a good sign

They did not inspect vehicle with me on my return iaw the terms & Condition … I insisted and stated it is written on contract that you are to ensure a member of staff check vehicle , time dropped off returned ,fuel and any damage ..my fuel receipts …etc I did video record all my interactions with the Recordgo staff at collection desk and return desk .

Cons: They do not adhere to their own terms and conditions. You sign the contract and I read carefully and all there terms and conditions to which none are followed. When I collected car I spent 30 mins taking photos ,videos I moved the car to the light at the staff collection desk so I could actually see the vehicle inside and out … I noticed small dent on left side n/s passenger door not recorded on the contract asked the Recordgo staff to look at the dent he shouts back take a photo ,no inspection

Pros: Good car at a good price. I was upgraded because the model I opted for wasn't available.

Cons: They were quite difficult to find! And a long way from the terminal.

Pros: Helpful return of car.

Cons: Waited for 75 minutes at rental desk before being served. Once with a staff member, she transferred me without explanation to a self-service terminal, where another staff member had to help. The process came to a halt when they informed me that they were awaiting availability of a car in the group I had reserved. After a further 30 minutes I insisted that they give me a vehicle in a higher category to recognize the extended waiting period. This was a stressful start to our holiday.

Pros: At initial service desk, the car rental agent was very friendly and helpful.

Cons: No real queue system when pickin up the keys, was cut in front of by several people and had a long wait.

Pros: Not very good, Car was filthy, walked for ages to find it

Cons: Waited a while at the airport to get served, then we could not find our car but the desk down in the pick up area was just as busy, no staff to ask must have waited over 1 hour

Cons: Slow drop off. Tyre pressures all over the place.

Pros: The staff were so helpful and friendly, they made the process even easier.

Pros: The pick up desk is in the terminal, the car was in excellent condition.

Cons: Very long wait to pick up the car (1 and half hour). At drop off they didn't want to check the car and sign any paperwork. The fuel tank was not full at pick up even though this was stated on the pick up document. The car park is not well lit and so it may be difficult to check for scratches on the car.

Pros: Young lady was very helpful in collection.

Cons: Not happy that car was not inspected when we dropped off. They just asked if everything was ok and if fuel was full.

Pros: They are always very good, very good cars at good price with friendly staff. I always look to use Record Go if I can.

Pros: Agent at the desk when on pick-up was friendly and efficient.

Cons: The car was a long way from pick-up desk. We saw many more marks on the paintwork than those indicated on hire document. The agent in the pick-up area refused to inspect the car & said we should take photos. The exterior condition of care made us anxious we would be charged. We had to leave a deposit for a full tank of fuel & were not told we should produce a fuel station receipt before drop-off as proof that we had filled up. We found this out through online reviews.

Pros: I’ve used record and go before, they are ok, always takes a while to collect the vehicle but this time was a little quicker

Cons: The vehicle was booked as full to full re fuel but it was empty, there was no washer fluid for the windscreen and the vehicle needed a top up of ad blue. It was very dented and dirty, not what we would expect when upgrading to a premium vehicle

Pros: Quick booking process, in the main mainly friendly staff.

Cons: When we picked up the car, there was a few marks over 4cm, one of which was recorded on their initial car check out sheet, the other wasn't. Thankfully we took video footage before we took the car, which clearly showed the second mark, with the date and time. When I took the car back I'm hoping they have noted this as you do hear some horror stories.

Pros: Friendly stuff, quickly processed the reservation and provided guidance.

Cons: on the whole all was good. They dont always check the car upon return, just ask you to leave the keys. This could be problematic if the customer is later told there is some damage to the car or the tank has not been refilled to the top. i have never encountered this with Record but I have with a couple of other Spanish car hire companies.

Pros: No looking for tiny stone chips to hold you account for damage.

Cons: Very strong sales practice to make you take the additional insurance at a premium price.

Cons: They could improve on the speed of dealing with clients. Perhaps have most of the information in their system (for those who would have booked online beforehand) by the time someone presents themselves on their hire desk.

Cons: Instructions on how to find rental desk. We didn't arrive by air and had great trouble finding the rental desk. Your instructions assumed we arrived by air at Malaga Airport and only told us about the desk in the arrivals hall which we couldn't access. We actually arrived the day before and spent two days sightseeing in Malaga before coming out to the airport to collect car.

Pros: Although there was a wait to do paperwork. Staff were helpful enough to assist filling out forms , which took out the stressful part.

Pros: Extremely Helpful and friendly staff who made it easy to get on the road. They explained what they required with regards there full to full return policy. This was also brilliant because you can just get in the car and go without having to find a petrol station like some other providers. I also appreciated the courtesy a few days after to ask how i got on with everything.

Cons: It took ages to get the car one que for over half an hour at the check in desk then another smaller que in the car park to collect the keys.

Pros: Excellent pick up service, no pressure to take the extra [not required] insurance. Return was just as good with friendly staff on reception, quick handover of car and fuel deposit returned to my account in just a few days. VW Golf auto diesel was a pleasure to drive in the Spanish Sierras. Will book again.

Pros: I liked the service I got at the parking garage office, the young man was on his own and despite the fact that he was busy, he was very efficient,calm and very helpful.

Cons: I didn't like the way the young woman at the office in the airport was handling things. She was very abrupt at telling us to go out the door until she called us. We were respecting social distancing. However we stepped back out the door and then she took someone who was hovering over the desk at the other side when in fact we were before them in the que. Then she she started to tell us we would be quicker going to the office upstairs but she sent all the other too making it busier upstairs.

Pros: It's fine once you find the place, the underground carpark at Malaga airport is not the easiest place to navigate.

Cons: The desk is at the furthest end of the underground car park therefore less convenient than it might be! Also they were insistent I paid for full coverage which I thought I already had. They said what I had did not cover breakdown for instance, though.....

Cons: Unfortunately their system was down and had to wait around 2hrs to collect the car. Also not had the fuel deposit back yet

Pros: The -1 parking level was easy to find.

Cons: One of the employees was quite rude when a problem arose with the administration.

Cons: queuing for ages upstairs then when I was next in the queue being sent downstairs to another desk where I had to queue all over again - made me angry

Pros: Having used other car rentals in malaga airport, this one is by far superior, service was quick and straightforward with very pleasant staff.

Cons: Car only had half tank of petrol but was changed to a different car but I had to move my luggage which I had already put into the first car. Some instructions on how to change the satnav language would’ve been helpful as it was far from intuitive. The marketing information stated Fiat 500 or similar and despite there being lots of cars at the airport they were no Fiat 500s and I did specifically want one so this was a bit of a disappointment.

Pros: Brand new car and the staff in the office very helpful and nice. They provided a great and fast service both days.

Cons: The price of the insurance is abusive.. We had a car for 3 weeks and we nearly pay as much as per the rental car itself. They should offer discount for long term rentals.

Pros: The only positive thing to say about Record-go was that the staff at the place where the car is picked up and dropped off (I'm not referring to the rental desk where the service was poor) were helpful, efficient and friendly. They cannot be faulted.

Cons: Rental desk staff member was rude to a couple in the queue before us and aggressive to us in trying to sell their excess insurance. Less than a day into our hire we saw that the car had a slow puncture. Sent 3 emails to customer svc for advice without reply and tried 11 times to ring the airport number which was never answered. Had to take the car to a tyre repair shop who informed me that it was an old puncture that had been repaired and that another tyre was unsafe. The car was not roadworthy

Pros: The worst car hire company I ever used.very rude staff,not helpful at all. never ever use this company again and certainly don’t recommend to anyone.
