Cons: The lady who gave us the car was very friendly in the beginning, but as soon as I said I didnt want any other insurance even tho I had already paid for full cover prior the trip she became very hostile. She kept insisting I didnt have full coverage even when I clearly showed it to her. She also kept insisting on not getting an electric car (which fair,theres not that many charging pots in Marbella) but she wanted me to swapp from an automatic car to manual and top of that pay double of the money

Cons: Secondly, I don’t quite understand how it is possible to receive such a car when you order “small car”. Ordering a small car means lower fuel expanse and if I order something, I rely on receiving it. However, we ended up with two large cars completely unnecessary. We were not able to leave one of the cars at the rental company as their system kept crushing. Even receiving the keys took more than an hour because of that. This experience influenced our time during the holiday.

En klanten worden door de baliemedewerker gepushed deze ook echt te nemen, ook als je aangeeft al voldoende verzekert te zijn. Erg vervelend. Bij terugbrengen van de auto proberen ze schades te claimen. Je moet dus vooraf heel goed zelf alle schades fotograferen. Ze naaien je waar je bij staat en proberen geld uit je zak te troggelen.

Cons: We paid almost £200 for 2 child car seats , the seats were not in the car so we went to find them , the choice was appalling but we had to take 2 as we had a 1 and 3 year old . Despite previously giving the ages of our children,They were not good at all and in fact restricted our driving with the children because we were so nervous about them . There was no option to have better ones .the company should review the availability of suitable car seats.

It was difficult to explain it, even when the manager came along as well. It would be good to improve this communication and create more clarity. Car rental in Malaga is always a stressfum experience and these unclarities create unnecessary stress.

We were not offered a refund for buying these things.

At the drop, prepare for a frowned face person who will like fight like a kid that the last drop of the fuel is not matching. We pick the car at same number and delivered back hut the guy at drop off, cried like a kid to charge us 9 euros for the furl + 19 as penalty which almost a tank full for them.

When we dropped the car off it was just as bad.

If you had a booking You had to collect a ticket from their machine which gave you a number in the queue to be able to get your keys. They also had a fast track ticket system that cost €40 to buy. I stood waiting over 45 minutes to get my turn to collect my keys but was nowhere near my number. I had to pay the€40 to get a fast track and get my keys. Not such a good deal anymore 😟

I left the car with the agent and no damage was noted, but later discovered they charged excess for ‘damage to the car’, which was already there. An elderly person sighted in front of her, and she started yelling at him, having no respect at him being elderly, calling security on him and refusing to give him a car. The elderly person was highly apologetic, but she wouldn't stop yelling at him. I saw everything, and I also saw how she was ride to previous customers too.

The upsell of breakdown cover and car upgrades was a little unfair , the fact you are told that if you breakdown in the car you are renting for a few days you are fully responsible!

Cons: Your representative insisted I had to have extra insurance, on my return I have found out this is not the case and therefore I was mis sold, I will stop my family and friends using you unless I’m refunded, we visit Malaga regularly , so you will lose a potentially lucrative customer.

Cons: trying to blame scratches on the car and get us to pay extra. Should all be noted before rather than relay on the customer to prove they did not. Be aware of the tricks and take lots of photos.

He was also arrogant and unhappy when heard that I will not pay two times for insurance! The address to get the car from parking also was not clear.

Cons: It seemed like I had booked a car with full insurance, when I arrived at Malaga airport Discovery doesn’t exist and the all I had done was reserve a car with Discovery, I ended up wasting the 10% of the fee paid to Discovery as I had too pay extra to the car rental company to get the full insurance I thought I had paid for initially.

Pros: Very handy drop off. Staff ready.

Cons: Difficult to find the agency. They were in a different place than they described.

Cons: The attempt to sell additional insurance when we already had purchased full cover from discover cars. When booking a package I just want to show my documents and drive away, no sales pitch.

Cons: Stroppy agent. Threat of €350 charge for even the slightest damage, minor scratch or stonechip.

Cons: Horrible policies related to paying for the car. Forces customers to have a credit card (not debit card) to avoid paying a massive fee for insurance even if you already have another insurance to cover deductibles with another company. Even if there is plenty of money to cover the deposit on a debit card and it can have overdraft they will not accept it. Never experienced anything like this all over world.

Cons: I have my own excess policy. That was a drama in itself at the desk when I refused it. When we picked up the car, the car park was dark, so we couldn't see if there was any damage to the car on pick up. We noticed when we left the car park, a dent on the door. So when we dropped the car off, the changed us the excess. These guys are scammers. Avoid like the plague

Cons: They are dishonest liars. They deliberately caused some minor damage to the car when we returned it and then charged us an extortionate amount of money to 'fix' it. Utterly disgraceful and criminal behaviour. I'm surprised DiscoverCars supports these kinds of companies.

Pros: Although renting an auto petrol, was given a hybrid, which was a bonus.

Cons: Was told a pickup to take pictures of any damage to the vehicle. In an underground garage we missed one scratch on the side of the car, although taking a picture of it later in daylight, was initially told that there was no proof that it was there before pickup. All the paperwork was emailed to me, no signal in the basement, received it later, not showing this particular damage. Fortunately it obliquely shows in one of the other photos and they let me go.

Applied fine was unjustifiable. the operator had been aware of scratch on the car as he went to direct point of scratch without checking the whole car for possible damage and the scratch was found in a dark place of the garage with using light of a phone pointing directly to the scratch. So he was aware of the fact before I rented the car.

When I returned the car they tried to blame me for a tiny mark on the car .

Anyway, a claim was sent to OK rentacar and to Discovercarhire customer services.

I lost a item my first car but it wasn’t found...
