When returning the vehicle the staff refused to do a check out for us to sign off, instead sent it by email after we had left. That email confirmed no additional fees were to be paid HOWEVER once we returned to the UK the company tried to charge us €150 euros and retained another €50 from our deposit which they claimed was for ‘additional cleaning’. The photos they sent were of a few crumbs on the back seat! DO NOT USE!

Cons: when I paid they took 345 instead of the 144, so I questioned this and was told it was for fuel and that I would get it back if I returned the car full that’s it as I couldn’t read it I signed and took the car 200 plus euros I got 125 pounds back should have been about 170 British and then they took another 36 out of my account after I was back in uk for cleaning. I was doubly insured so no fees would have been charged yet I still was can’t get in touch with them.

Check out just to leave the key and no one check it with you, I got email charging 97€ + 40€ for administration, at the pictures you can see scratches similar to those he told me it's ok. Cons: Completely misleading pricing. When I arrived to collect the car the cost was over double what it said on my contract. What a crap way to start a holiday having to argue with your salesperson about it and him just saying 'the price you got was too cheap so this is the new price'... You should be honest about your pricing upfront. Your salesperson also used pressure tactics in an attempt to mis-sell me an extortionately expensive and unnecessary insurance policy. He told me the car was uninsured
Pros: Sadly I cannot be supportive. The agent was rude and obnoxious once we wouldn’t purchase the ridiculously expensive extra insurance. I have used Goldcar many times but I’m certainly put off renting again.
Cons: Having agreed a rental price and producing our rental contract the Goldcar agent overcharged us. His idea of customer service is astounding. In fact he was so aggressive and fear mongering about accidents we did not use the car other than to and from Malaga Airport, Mijas Pueblo then Mijas Cala.
Pros: Quick process at desk. Had a very scratched car which meant took a while to check on pick up that all scrtaches had been recorded but this was good for me overall as meant any furtger scatches woukd not be charged.
Cons: Not enough personnel at pick up to quickly get agreement on scratches not on papaerwork. Pressure from person at desk to buy insurance even after i had explained I had rental car hire excess insurance from another provider. She tried to scare me into buying GoldCar's insurance as well. Though she was very friendly snd efficient otherwise with good English
Pros: Not alot really, agent at collection desk kept pressuring me to buy further insurance telling me that the cover purchased through discover cars was not sufficient and left me at risk for thousands of euros if the car was damaged stolen or even broke down. The damage report prior to collection did not cover all areas of damage that were "greater than 2cm". Even when I asked rep to note only 1 further mark was noted. Damage to other panels and interior was not noted. I had to take photo/vid.
Cons: Agent at desk was quite rude about the "full cover" policy provided by discover cars. Car collection area so dark (in daytime) that even rep could not get photos of damage. Despite pushing damage cover they didn't even inspect the car body on return.

One of the staff at the Goldcar desk within the airport advised that we could have breakfast outside the airport and collect the keys at the Goldcar desk in the parking. When we came to do so, after queueing for at least 10 min (only one of the desks was manned) we were told that picking up the keys there would carry an additional 20 € fee. We were not happy with this and decided to go back inside, so we had to go through security and queue again.

Pros: The car we get was very good, almost new (3000 km only) and even better than we have booked for (We have booked a Skoda Karoq and received a Lynk&Co Suzuki hybrid).All the process was quick and smooth and the drop off was taking just 2 minutes.
Cons: Is not the service of Goldcar I am not satisfied , but the intermediary company DiscoverCars I am not satisfied, because they lied about the booking conditions.

Cons: The provider GoldCar were quite aggressive in their sales push for all inclusive insurance (€200 for 10 days rental) and advised that I would have no breakdown cover and would be liable for €600 recovery costs in case of a breakdown. I already have my own zero excess cover so declined and gambled on the car being sound. GoldCar also charged me €73 extra for being a ‘novice driver’. I have a 43 year old clean licence! Discover Cars did assist in recovering this amount though
