Cons: Appallingly aggressive attempt by Goldcar rep to sell additional insurance which I pointed out was not needed under the terms of what I had bought from you. Rep made threats about difficulties I would encounter, e.g. Gold Car would not provide another car in the event of any accident, including a puncture,. Said it would be months before my deposit and petrol money was repaid to me. I was pressurised for more than half an hour before the rep realised I was not buying additional insurance.

Cons: Check in no agent, I asked the inspector to check some scratches and he told me not to worry it's small and showed me that it can be removed with the finger. Check out just to leave the key and no one check it with you, I got email charging 97€ + 40€ for administration, at the pictures you can see scratches similar to those he told me it's ok. I hadn't done anything to the car and this is the first time something like this is happening to me after so many rentals. Stay away from this company.
Pros: The people I handed the car to at the end of the booking were efficient.
Cons: The member of staff that I dealt with at collection was dismissive and rude. The car steering wheel had sauce on it and a scuff wasn't marked on the vehicle condition report at collection.
Cons: They scam you for damage you have not caused! Even if you have proof that the damage was already there. The service was very slow, car was dirty, and when returning they claimed I had caused a dent to the car, that I had not caused. Even though I have picture proof that the dent was already there when I rented the car. And they said everything was fine, after checking the car when returning it.

Cons: Collection: we were informed that only a credit card is possible for the deposit. As we only possess debit cards this was a problem so we started making arrangements with another car hire firm. Then we were told debit is OK and the full deposit was then taken from the debit card. Then we were able to commence the hire. As we have a 5 year old the length of this process was a problem. For your information Avis accept debit cards and only process a transaction if there is a need on conclusion of

Cons: I filled up the car with a full tank of fuel and return the vehicle. However, they still charge me €59 for missing fuel which I think is very unfair. They also take very large holding deposit compared to other companies as I rent cars on a weekly basis, no one takes as much as gold car.

Cons: When dropping off the car at the airport, there were no Goldcar parking spaces available, I asked the Goldcar person who checks the car what do l do if there are no spaces, he said keep trying to find one, it took me nearly an hour to get a space to park. We then had to run to catch our flight, we just arrived at the gate when everyone was boarding, extremely stressful at the end of our holiday.

Cons: Completely misleading pricing. When I arrived to collect the car the cost was over double what it said on my contract. What a crap way to start a holiday having to argue with your salesperson about it and him just saying 'the price you got was too cheap so this is the new price'... You should be honest about your pricing upfront. Your salesperson also used pressure tactics in an attempt to mis-sell me an extortionately expensive and unnecessary insurance policy. He told me the car was uninsured

Cons: Having agreed a rental price and producing our rental contract the Goldcar agent overcharged us. His idea of customer service is astounding. In fact he was so aggressive and fear mongering about accidents we did not use the car other than to and from Malaga Airport, Mijas Pueblo then Mijas Cala.

Pros: Not alot really, agent at collection desk kept pressuring me to buy further insurance telling me that the cover purchased through discover cars was not sufficient and left me at risk for thousands of euros if the car was damaged stolen or even broke down. The damage report prior to collection did not cover all areas of damage that were "greater than 2cm". Even when I asked rep to note only 1 further mark was noted. Damage to other panels and interior was not noted. I had to take photo/vid.

One of the staff at the Goldcar desk within the airport advised that we could have breakfast outside the airport and collect the keys at the Goldcar desk in the parking. When we came to do so, after queueing for at least 10 min (only one of the desks was manned) we were told that picking up the keys there would carry an additional 20 € fee. We were not happy with this and decided to go back inside, so we had to go through security and queue again.

Cons: The provider GoldCar were quite aggressive in their sales push for all inclusive insurance (€200 for 10 days rental) and advised that I would have no breakdown cover and would be liable for €600 recovery costs in case of a breakdown. I already have my own zero excess cover so declined and gambled on the car being sound. GoldCar also charged me €73 extra for being a ‘novice driver’. I have a 43 year old clean licence! Discover Cars did assist in recovering this amount though

He mentioned conditions that are not part of GoldCars official terms and conditions just for selling me an insurance that I don’t need. And when I refused his offers he got a very bad attitude. I will sure use Discover Cars services in the future but will not chose GoldCar any more.

After several trial and tel Ling that i cannot use another card he finally agreed to use another card. During the procedure the agent started to Service another customers instead of dealung with my case. So after an hour waiting in a queue i had to spend another hour recieving a car

Cons: I was charged for an extra insurance, although I had an insurance booked with DiscoverCars. When asking what the extra money was, I was told it's deposit for fuel, which would be refunded when the car was returned with a full tank
Pros: Well priced. Very quick drop off process. Maybe I was just lucky but car was examined and given the thumbs up in under 5 mins from parking. Very good car - one or two bumps/scratches that originally had me worried but reassured by Goldcar staff (re Excess).
Cons: Why do agents need to take so long to process paperwork when all information has already been provided online? Of course they do provide a Premium "Key'n'Go" service so its obviously possible to do the process more efficiently for pre-booked customers. Rather high deposits needed for Excess and Petrol - ok as refunded provided car is refuelled and not damaged.
Pros: Clear information. Good communication skills from the gentleman at the desk.
Cons: I had problems with my credit card so had to use my debit to leave a big deposit which takes up to a month to get refunded.

Cons: Absolutely shocking. We took a ticket, and waiting around for 30 minutes before our number was called. Proceeded to the desk and presented booking forms for the 2 seperate bookings. was told by the desk 'customer service' rep that we would need 2 seperate tickets if we wanted to process both orders at the same time, which would involve another 30 minute wait. After a verbal match in front of 10's of other customers, we walked away - hence the cars not being picked up.

Cons: Car was covered in dents and scratches. Also it had no rear wiper blade, so I couldn't see out. DCH took £35 of my money for "full cover" which Goldcar rep said was close to worthless, then pressed us hard for another €115 for YHEIR full cover. Very poor, disjointed service.

Cons: that they charged my card for nearly twice the rental fee diesel surcharge, extra insurance, without asking or telling me. the car was damaged I presume they knew that I had bought extra insurance with discovery car hire. so why i would need another insurance is beyond me I should have payed 300 euros including airport surcharge but they charged me just over 500 euro without asking. personally I think that is FRAUD
Pros: The offering of the WiFi package but not the gps, since wifi hotspot would have been enough to be used with my phone, There was no need for the additional expense.
Cons: The car’s maintenance light was on when I picked. I told the agent and he said do not worry. Then I discovered what was wrong: 1. The windshield wipers did not work and 2. The high beam light was not working either.
Pros: Clean cars in excellent condition.
Cons: Long, slow queues. No flexibility: rules are rules. However, there also is a problem with DiscoverCarHire & Goldcar together: I wanted to extend the rental for another week. Twice, Goldcar said I must talk to DiscoverCarHire, and twice DiscoverCarHire said it could not do anything about, so talk to Goldcar. At the end of the week, I had to drive all the way back to Malaga to turn in my car - and re-rent the exact same one!

Cons: very rude representative. car was banged up, terrible condition, dirty. brought this up with the representatives who did not care. Would definitely not use your services again. We were also charged double for insurance of the car, both online and at the airport

Cons: Not organized service when returning the car keys. Unclear about return procedure and and no receipt upon return.
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. My husband was to have been the names driver, unfortunately he suffered a hand injury just before we travelled and was unable to drive. The representative quickly offered to substitute myself as the named driver.
Cons: Car had numerous scrapes + dents which we were not advised of.

Менеджеры ни в какую не соглашались менять срок, хотя мы были готовы доплачивать. Еле-Еле решили проблему
