Cons: Sold me extra insurance I didn't need. I should have looked closer at my Discover car agreement but I shouldn't have to check that I'm not being conned. Also we didn't need the car the whole time so dropped it off early. I didn't expect a full refund for the days we didn't use it, 5 out of the 8, but I would have expected some money back, but got nothing at all.

Cons: I frequently rent directly from Goldcar. There is one Goldcar agent Paolo F. who is always unpleasant, rude and unprofessional.

Pros: Goldcar stole about 200 euros from us. The kind of scam we faced is a pure scandal. Goldcar is a thief company, plain and simple.

Cons: Lying, deceitful company targeting vulnerable (solo female traveller) customers. Terrible customer service. Zero instructions on where exactly you're meant to park the car when returning it. There's no 'drop off' area and the bay I picked it up from had a car in.

Cons: They added €144 for insurance at pickup without asking even though I had paid discover cars for full cover insurance, sadly with the security deposit, fuel deposit and being awake since 1.30am I didn't notice before they charged my credit card.
Cons: They charge you again for insurance when this shouldn't be the case. The registered we would pay an additional 20 to remove the need for the deposit to come out. Which I happily paid. But then the additional insurance is charged and not needed. Chasing a refund but they are con artist in plain sight and we have not heard anything back. Avoid at all cost.

Cons: the con of making people lose money and paying double for booking the car when the credit card limit cannot pay the deposit but allow renter to rent direct with no backing by a credit card .. so why not accept a debit card deposit or across the two named drivers.

Cons: They tried to charge me more money and go away from the agreement I had with Discovery car. A representative at Discovery car was very helpful in getting my money refunded.
Pros: Very bad experience for me at GoldCar. The Agent tried only to sell additional services the I clearly told I don’t need. He mentioned conditions that are not part of GoldCars official terms and conditions just for selling me an insurance that I don’t need. And when I refused his offers he got a very bad attitude. I will sure use Discover Cars services in the future but will not chose GoldCar any more.

Cons: Goldcar are awful. They overcharged me for the rental itself - the rate was higher than DiscoverCars promised and then they heavily charged me for the pre-existing damages that I personally didn't make. The general condition of the car was very poor with a high mileage.
Cons: They lied to me claiming my insurance was not good enough when discovery cars have told me it is, demanded extra money, were rude, charged me for things without stating what they were charging for. Have alias names so that you don't realise you are dealing with their company. I think that says it all.

Cons: I was charged for an extra insurance, although I had an insurance booked with DiscoverCars. When asking what the extra money was, I was told it's deposit for fuel, which would be refunded when the car was returned with a full tank
Pros: Well priced. Very quick drop off process. Maybe I was just lucky but car was examined and given the thumbs up in under 5 mins from parking. Very good car - one or two bumps/scratches that originally had me worried but reassured by Goldcar staff (re Excess).
Cons: Why do agents need to take so long to process paperwork when all information has already been provided online? Of course they do provide a Premium "Key'n'Go" service so its obviously possible to do the process more efficiently for pre-booked customers. Rather high deposits needed for Excess and Petrol - ok as refunded provided car is refuelled and not damaged.
Pros: Clear information. Good communication skills from the gentleman at the desk.
Cons: I had problems with my credit card so had to use my debit to leave a big deposit which takes up to a month to get refunded.

Cons: Absolutely shocking. We took a ticket, and waiting around for 30 minutes before our number was called. Proceeded to the desk and presented booking forms for the 2 seperate bookings. was told by the desk 'customer service' rep that we would need 2 seperate tickets if we wanted to process both orders at the same time, which would involve another 30 minute wait. After a verbal match in front of 10's of other customers, we walked away - hence the cars not being picked up.

Cons: that they charged my card for nearly twice the rental fee diesel surcharge, extra insurance, without asking or telling me. the car was damaged I presume they knew that I had bought extra insurance with discovery car hire. so why i would need another insurance is beyond me I should have payed 300 euros including airport surcharge but they charged me just over 500 euro without asking. personally I think that is FRAUD
Pros: The offering of the WiFi package but not the gps, since wifi hotspot would have been enough to be used with my phone, There was no need for the additional expense.
Cons: The car’s maintenance light was on when I picked. I told the agent and he said do not worry. Then I discovered what was wrong: 1. The windshield wipers did not work and 2. The high beam light was not working either.

Cons: Long, slow queues. No flexibility: rules are rules. However, there also is a problem with DiscoverCarHire & Goldcar together: I wanted to extend the rental for another week. Twice, Goldcar said I must talk to DiscoverCarHire, and twice DiscoverCarHire said it could not do anything about, so talk to Goldcar. At the end of the week, I had to drive all the way back to Malaga to turn in my car - and re-rent the exact same one!

Cons: Not organized service when returning the car keys. Unclear about return procedure and and no receipt upon return.
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. My husband was to have been the names driver, unfortunately he suffered a hand injury just before we travelled and was unable to drive. The representative quickly offered to substitute myself as the named driver.

Менеджеры ни в какую не соглашались менять срок, хотя мы были готовы доплачивать. Еле-Еле решили проблему
