Pros: Beatriz was friendly and helpful.

Pros: Quick to collect, simple to drop off. Not too far from the airport and regular shuttle buses.

Cons: Centauro did not accept the extra coverage I paid for Discovercars; they provided No-Deposit option only if I pay extra insueance for that I already payed for Discoverycars.

Pros: The staff in Malaga and Madrid was very nice and efficient. We were expecting a fiat panda but ended up with a kia picanto : some difficulties to manage all the bags in the bags compartment A little expensive but as it’s the holidays season, no choice but to pay

Cons: This is the second time I have had the same problem in Spain and Portugal! I specifically choose a rental that accepts a debit card. But upon arrival at the rental office, the price is always about 3 times more than indicated on the discovercars website. They start to explain something, the language barrier, time passes, you get nervous and end up agreeing to a different price. This is unfair. Although otherwise there are no problems

Cons: However I was supposed to have rented a Nissan Juke. Instead I got a DR, which I've never heard of and was a horrible drive. No power, meant when I was leaving a steep car park basement I had to complete 2-3 handbrake starts just to exit. I also had to yo yo between gears even on slight inclines.

Pros: The rental company was absolutely fair, no hidden costs, we paid as much as it was indicated when we booked it.

Cons: Full insurance cover for one day is 25€ thats too expensive. But thats my mistake because i’ve not checked this before usually we paid maximum 15€

Cons: We waited 30-40 minutes for the shuttle bus at Malaga Airport (other provider buses were arriving every 5 minutes). Another 30 minutes were spent waiting for the agent.

Cons: Discover cars, car insurance varies by what the providers offer or suggest you purchase. It just seems like you are getting squeezed to buy more coverage. More clarity is required between the providers and what Discover car offers when you reserve your vehicle.

If we didn’t, we would have brought it back full - need to disclose this information at the front end. Customer should not have to call. Also, it must be a Spain thing because we got dinged for extra insurance again. This does not happen in Portugal.

Cons: Only thing was had to pay €60 to clean the car when returned. Fair enough as car was dirty (Sandy) inside but that should have been made clear on pick up and it wasn’t or I would have done it before hand.

Cons: I first was offered a car that was not the category ordered. I then realised 5 days into the rental that the tyres was beyond legal. it actually had chunks out of the rubber and no tread. When I called them the asked me to drive it back to the hire desk 100km from my house. They put my whole family in danger.

Seemed very stressful and under staffed. Would not use again due to this reason.

Cons: The man at the end inspecting the car was trying to find a way to deduct money from our deposit, he pointed out some tiny scratches (which I didn't do!) and actually said the words "it is so difficult trying to get them to show up on my phone" he did everything he could to try and create some reason to deduct money from us, not good at all!!!

Cons: I had to leave card details for any damage. I could only leave details from a VISA or Mastercard credit card, which I don't have. The only way I could keep my booking was to buy their own insurance which cost me an extra £120!

Pros: Clear instructions on pick up and good minibus service from airport.

Cons: The booking process was simple once at the counter, but the office appeared to operate a numbered ticketing system to service clients in turn. However, having spent two minutes registering for a ticket, one person walked straight up to the counted and was served. The ticketing system was totally ignored by the staff - annoying, and irritating after a three hour flight. Get rid of it.
