Cons: I am very disappointed with Discover Cars. We booked and paid for a car in advance, but when we arrived, we didn’t receive any vehicle at all. Despite trying to resolve the issue, we didn’t even get half of our money back. The service was unprofessional and unreliable. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Cons: Waiting time when picking up the car. There were several customers in the line before me so the whole process took around 45 minutes. The windscreen washer fluid reservoir was totally empty when I picked up the car.

Pros: The office is difficult to find as the signage is poor within the airport. There are several bigger companies which are covered by the airport signage but are located in a different location then ecovia. Also ecovia name is actually autovia within the airport. Car was quite dirty inside and the bodywork had damage which was not present in the details given on check-in. Make sure you take a video of the vehicle prior departure to spare you of unwanted costs.

Pros: Staff were so helpful and clearly explained everything at pickup and at drop off. The car was fully functional and very easy to drive - even if being on the opposite side of the road was a bit confusing at first.

Cons: It would have been helpful to have the car manual in the car as a warning light for tyre pressure came on but we had to google it to find out what the symbol meant and what the tyre pressure should have been. It would have been helpful if the car already had screen wash.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1390.00 - € 1950.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Premium Location fee, Road tax, Environmental charge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
The driver license must be written in Latin alphabet.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form. The International Driving permit must be a physical one; a digital version will not be accepted.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, flight information. Renters from the following country(ies): Italy must provide the following documents: proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill) in order to collect the car.
Deposit and deductible policy

Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Information on the exact fee amount is available by request.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain-Mainland, Switzerland, San Marino.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Ski rack, Cross border fee.

During winter season (from 01.10 until 15.04) Snow chains are included in price.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid an additional charge per liter/gallon of missing fuel plus a 25 EUR refueling service charge.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.

Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 59 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
