ECH at Pisa Airport

Pros: Nothing

Cons: No service at all at the costumers service in Pisa. I was the main driver and did not have a Master card, only visa card. The 2. driver was not allowed to pay or register his card. We coosed to cansell the car. Really not polite people we met in Pisa.

Pros: seemed staightforward enough.

Cons: long queue/wait for collection. Probably just bad timing of flights.

Pros: Absolutely nothing. Disgraceful company.

Cons: renting cars in Italy for over 20 years. Never had an experience like this. ECH an absolute disgrace “found” 2 minor marks on car on return 1-2mm which were so small could have been there on collection. ( all other companies don’t even note anything less than 25mm). charged €621 for this. Ignore emails sent to them. Still awaiting receipt of money they took so I can claim on my insurance. I note there is a significant volume of complaints re this co on various sites.

Pros: Actually i can't think of any good.

Cons: the service was very poor, actually there was no service, the car tyres were almost flat i had to fill the tyres at the nearest petrol station, the window washer water was empty and the engine emergency light was on when i asked what this was the staff stated that maybe i should check if the car needed oil and i was allowed to fill the car oil if i wanted. Also, the deposit should be released within 10 days - easy car needed 30 days to release the deposit.

Cons: Recommend quality monitoring. Clerk took 15-20 minutes per customer. Budget clerk got me checked in in 5 minutes

Cons: HORRIBLE! Not helpful at all, we had to pay so much more even though we called three times to check with ECH. Worst car company ever. I felt really disappointed and upset because of this. I would like my money back.

Cons: Dusty inside on the glass needs better wipeing

Pros: It was pretty straightforward and thankfully they spoke proficient English (in Italy).

Cons: They tried to upsell additional insurance with threats that the extra coverage I already paid for was not sufficient in case of theft, collision etc. would have been a 300% price increase of the price already paid for the coverage. I said no. Drive the car without any issues or damage. Returned as good as I received it.

Pros: Just good service and a fabulous agent on collection of the vehicle. Desk staff a little slow

Cons: Office at pisa airport was difficult to find because there was an abandoned office with their company signs and that was not the right one

Cons: Complete scammers tried to charge me €1000 euro for a small mark on the bumper that was already there and a plastic wheel cover even though I paid for the upgraded excess cover

Cons: They doubled the Price of the rental because er only had a debit card, which was only written in small. Other people in Line had the same issue. Seems like that is Theis business model, hope people don’t read comprehensively what is written in small and then charge extra

Cons: You need to take a video of the entire car. They tried to charge us for damages from previous rentals. The car had several dents and damages that weren't listed on the form we received at pickup.

Cons: Our plane was late and we had a big queue at immigration and a long walk to your car terminal that wasn’t easy to find because we were two hours late. Your company decided to cancel our booking and the attendant in the car rental. Shop was extremely rude when he told us I had to pay over €200 to rebook itI told him I certainly was not paying that and eventually after half an hour of argument I got him down to €60 which I still I’m absolutely mad about being this was no fault of ours and your car

Cons: Everything about this booking was not clear: ECH told us the insurance we bought online was for the broker, not the car??! Also multiple hidden charges (yes it was in the small print but this is the first time we've rented a car abroad so we didn't know what we were looking at and trusted the broker and ECH) & not being able to get through to ECH when trying to call. I do appreciate someone being there after hours, I don't blame the representative. It needs to be clearer what you've got to pay

Cons: car was not on full tank , which means i had to guess what to fill at the end , wasted time as we could not agree on level offer to pay but was asked unreasonable fee ,had to go and refill , do not need the extra stress and aggro for a few quid worth of petrol ..

Cons: Being scammed! Discover cars is a complete scam. The company will mis-sell the products they say they provide then leave you abandoned at your foreign location or make you pay an extortionate fee for the service you have already paid for.

Cons: Paid the extra insurance on discover cars. Com thought I was covered for everything, got to the rental company and was told there is 1600 euros excess had to pay another 140 euros to bring the excess down to 200 euros.

Cons: The instructions to find the car hire centre were poor and signage from the airport in the dark was awful

Cons: Slow at check in desk (but aren't they all). Upset that they charged over €100 for an additional driver. Very thorough check in and out. No water in screen wash.

Cons: Staff were extremely rude and unhelpful when presented with the challenge of not having a car seat for us, which meant we were unable to use the car. Their initial response was that there was nothing they could do. Will never use ECH again.

Cons: Nothing, the whole experience was dreadful and I certainly won't use again. The prices agreed in advance for an extra driver and child seat were doubled on the day, they tried making me pay for damages which were caused before I collected the vehicle, they don't have an office so you have to walk around looking for the rep on arrival - all in all, absolutely dreadful and I won't use again.

Pros: Nothing as did not get my booked vehicle

Cons: Unhelpful staff, did not get my booked car, offered another vehicle at a much higher cost so chose another rental company who were much cheaper

Cons: Difficult to find the ECH sign when getting the actual car, they don't have their own booth, just a guy operating out of a boot with a clipboard. Lady at the desk did try getting us to buy more cover, suggesting that the Full cover we had paid for online was not full cover at all?

Pros: They tried to charge 150 more because of debit card, even though it says in the voucher it would only be around 20 euros more depending on the car.

Cons: They were not helpful and blamed discovercars

Pros: Easycarhire staff were all very friendly and spoke good English considering we were in Italy. Quite straight forward pick up and return of car.

Cons: They state they are in the terminal which isn't true ( none of the agencies are), all are a 7/8 minute walk or a shuttle bus (which isn't a problem really).

Pros: honestly: cheap , relatively fast service.

Cons: slow ,manual filling up forms like ID numbers, emails, Driving license details. Always the same story with own insurance (when I already bought Full Insurance on booking page of Discover Cars) - must haggle and assertively deny the option. Checking all scratches (even 1mm diameter) - in Italy.. No own marked Parking - you must search for some guy in area.

Pros: In general was not bad, some delay to find a person to drop the car, but generally not bad.

Cons: Ridiculous report of car damages, not considering actual damages in the car and they want to give responsibility to the others. Fast check during the night, no proper light, no share the damage reports…Really bad

Cons: Waited for around an hour to collect the car due to poorly trained staff member and when we returned there were no signs or anyone present at the drop off- I serviced vehicle didn’t feel safe and terrible service i will not use this company again

Pros: The car was brand new

Cons: - Provided a car seat which had a very old clasp, it had exposed metal and springs and this broke during our trip leaving us without a safe way to transport our toddler. Luckily, the clasp broke completely on the final day of our trip, just before a 150 km trip to the rental office. When we raised it on the check-out, the attendant said that it wasn’t a problem, that it was not an issue and that he just wanted us to agree to pay an extra €20 for a “extra clean of the car”

Cons: 1. The pick-up time was scheduled for 17:00, but we were able to pick up the car at 19:30. The agent said that the system had cancelled the booking and that it would cost €40 to reactivate the booking. 2. The agent said that the prepaid fee on the discovercars website is not included in the booking fee, it is the discovercars commission. It was clear to us that it was an advance on the rental fee. Neither of which was properly communicated on the website during the booking process.

Pros: Non mi è stato possibile prendere l’auto con l’offerta da me selezionata dato che non conoscevano discovercars

Cons: Our flight was late and so we landed 2hours later. the rental company cancelled our reservation and gave our model car away and we were forced to take a different car for a higher price. Also we reserved a car seat. Their carseat was missing parts and they couldnt show us how to use it properly.

Cons: Made up damage that wasn't present in order to inflate the profit. I would not use again

Cons: They sold us the insurance again. Also quote 5 euros per day for an upgrade and then charged us way more than that. Should have been 25 euros but we paid 35 euros and then VAT.

Cons: As above. Still not been advised about release of deposit after finding 2 very minor marks. Of a door of around less then 5 mm

Pros: Very bad experience, the car rental insurance information was misleading, the online insurance has a cut off time when after the booking pick up time it expires and you are forced to purchase their own very expensive insurance, desk staff weren’t helpful on top of this credit card was blocked and I had to use debit card and paid an additional fee. Will never use again

Cons: Parking bay not very well-lit so difficult to find at night time on arrival in the dark.

Cons: Returning the was complicated. There was no one to check the condition of the car and I had to call the company and they just told me to park the car and drop the key in a box. The deposit is still blocked on my credit card and I don't know when it will be released.

Cons: I was on my husband's account for the credit card but didn't have my own card. We should the account details but this wasn't accepted making us pay another £160 thereabouts. We weren't told where to pick the car up, walking around for over 45mins, not told what to do on our return and wasting time finding someone in the car park.

Cons: Due to my naivety, I thought that 'Discover Cars' was the name of the car hire firm, rather than the website, so we were looking for the wrong sign. After rereading the documentation, we realised that we should be looking for 'Easycarhire' and then all was well. Can this be made clearer on the documentation to avoid considerable stress and confusion? Also, the car hire offices are a somewhat inconvenient distance from the terminal itself, so that was misleading and hard work in rain!

Pros: Couldn’t even find desk at rental area - had to ask - the smallest there and was under Easy Car. Felt agent was a little aggressive when we opted not to take out yet more insurance.

Cons: Sale pressure to take additional insurance cover even after we had expressed that we already had this fully covered. Being told that the car was left with a full tank and stressed that it had to be returned with the same to find that the car had 1/2 tank of petrol. Luckily we had the foresight to take a photo before driving it away as there was no one present to report this to at the time.

Cons: They out of the blue did not accept the CC where we already payed with at discovery cars

Cons: You need a better sign at the car collection car park. It is easily missed.

Pros: The girl at the desk was fabulous but on her own and could not have been expected to cope with the many demands. Definitely should have been 2 or 3 serving and a dedicated person to check cars at the end. Poor woman - it was so stressful for her and customers returning cars whose flights wouldn’t wait on them! They were in good time too - the customer that is. Shambles!

Pros: Friendly staff at the airport pickup

Cons: I purchased the extra insurance with Discovercars, but the EasyCar hire agent was adamant that the cover wasn't as good as if I would have got it from them:- The breakdown cover wasn't as comprehensive The Discovercars cover rely on police reports for claiming back deposits, whereas the Police rarely get involved with minor car incidents and so unlikely to provide the necessary documentation I would have needed. The Easycar hire cover would have covered this. Frutsrating and worrying.

Cons: 1 customer service agent to 7 customers, took forever to get spoken to, £15 hire became over £300.

Cons: There is no full fuel tank pick up, so it is very difficult to put exactly same amount fuel when you drop back car, so just in case, u put in full. When you drop it back early morning, there is no staff who receive the car back.

Pros: Dropping the car is inconvenient - I had to bring the key to the main office.

Cons: I expected a Skoda Fabia (as promised) but instead got an Opel Corsa that has a much smaller trunk. We could barely fit all our stuff in the car. I asked to give me a slightly bigger car but the agent refused. Also, charging euro 90 for not having an International Driving Permit is an overkill. I'd be fine with 40-50 but 90 is way too much. I've read some companies in Italy don't even ask for it.

Pros: The car was excellent - virtually new, only 1300 miles on the clock

Cons: They tried to sell us extra insurance, despite the fact that we had taken out the full liability in advance. Also, the hire desk is described as being in the terminal. it is in a terminal, but not THE terminal - all the car hire desks at Pisa are in a separate building about half a mile from the main terminal, which is a strenuous walk in hot weather dragging luggage!

Cons: I was forced to pay for extra insurance at Easycarhire which added €290 to the cost. I wrote to discovercars where I already paid for an insurance to get a refund - 10 days after I have not heard anything.

She claimed that my valid comprehensive cover with Discovery cars would not cover me in the event of any incident. I imagine she scams a lot of people into taking out the Easy cover as well . At least you state firmly on the voucher that hirer is covered, though she disputed that completely. Let me upset, angry and shaking
