As 2026 is heading to an end, DiscoverCars.com has received another great recognition. We are honored to receive the prestigious International Travel Award emphasizing our strong position of being a truly valuable and a responsible player in the travel industry.

Why is this achievement special to us?

This is the second year in a row we are honored to be named the Best Car Rental Company in the International Travel Awards. Every recognition is a true honor for us, while every repeated recognition is a strong acknowledgement that DiscoverCars.com is going in the right direction.

The entry process is heavily based on the evidence companies provide. While we covered some entry questions with milestones achieved, nothing can tell about the customer experience more than customers themselves.

There are tens of thousands of customers worldwide speaking about us. The number of our reviews on Trustpilot is constantly growing, reaching 277K+ at the time of entry submission, with more than 50K reviews in the reviewed 12-month period. Our customers praise the easy booking process, clear guidelines, and positive customer support experience. But what’s really important here is that our Trustpilot score — with the number of reviews growing — remains stable at the 4.6 mark.

We share ideas, we experiment, we launch what works best, we repeat. Our user experience is built with the customer in mind. This year was also a very special year for us, when DiscoverCars.com became the most visited car rental comparison and booking website in the world, according to SimilarWeb data.

The entry process

More than 13 years in operation, an invariable focus on development, and a list of newly accomplished initiatives — our entry was all about telling our story and sharing achievements of the prior 12 months.

The core entry process consisted of eight open questions where we were welcome to share details from general information to proof of consistent development, recent accomplishments, and corporate citizenship. The submission process is designed to let eligible participants tell their stories.

Which level they enter for — country, region, or world — is chosen by the participating companies themselves as per their own criteria.

The entry questions covered many areas, which allowed us to tell our whole story so the judges were able to see the whole picture.

The evaluation

The International Travel Awards sees nominees through a structured, evidence-based evaluation process. Each nomination is reviewed by industry professionals — former tourism directors, hospitality executives, travel journalists, sustainability experts, and academic researchers.

The four areas evaluated are: Guest Experience and Satisfaction; Innovation and Differentiation; Brand Consistency and Service Standards; and Sustainability and Social Responsibility. Guest experience and satisfaction is the most weighted category and is based on real customer reviews and proven satisfaction.

Judges look for companies that reinvent the guest experience, actively push travel standards forward, maintain excellent customer service, and are socially responsible, with a proven track record in each area.

The number of winners changes every year depending on the strength of each submission, not on how many free winner spots there are.
