DiscoverCars.com Wins Best Car Rental in 2025 International Travel Awards

We're excited to announce our second big win of the 2025 awards season — Best Car Rental Company at the International Travel Awards. With more than 5,000 travel brands in many niches participating in the awards from all over the world, this award is a true honor. We couldn't achieve things like this without our customers, partners, and employees — to whom we are always truly grateful.

About the International Travel Awards

The International Travel Awards recognizes and celebrates excellence in travel, tourism, and hospitality globally. Now in its 7th edition, more than 5,000 brands enter the competition every year.

The awards are handed out for different levels: city, country, regional, and world. The regions encompass all areas of the world, including the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Unlike other awards, such as the World Travel Tech Awards, there are no stages of the competition where winners of one level move on to compete at the next. Instead, brands choose which level to participate in when entering.

They also cover various niches within the travel industry, with categories such as hotels, travel tech, airlines, tourism boards, luxury services, car rentals, etc.

The International Travel Awards uses a rigorous selection process, publishing the criteria it uses, as detailed below. The jury first vets the entries, then there's a voting round, after which the jury judges the entries based on the judging criteria.

The awards host a gala event for the winners every year in Dubai, with representatives from brands attending to accept their awards.

Judging criteria of the International Travel Awards

The above is the breakdown of the categories in which entrants are judged for the International Travel Awards. This makes the awards a comprehensive overview of travel brands valuing both customer input and the opinions of an expert jury — it's not just a popularity contest.

While we're proud to have performed well in all categories, we're especially proud to see that our customer service has stood out once again. We focus on clear communication and being there for our customers when they need us 24/7. This award is just one more recognition of our hard work in the area of customer service, following last year’s Excellence in Customer Service award from the Business Intelligence Group.

What makes this award special

The International Travel Awards has earned solid industry recognition since launching in 2018. It's drawn participation from major global brands like World Abu Dhabi, Ritz-Carlton Doha, and Hilton.

Even national tourism boards, such as Visit Maldives, have embraced the awards as a meaningful endorsement. In fact, the Maldives was named Best International Island Destination—a title the tourism authority highlighted in its own promotional campaigns.

With over 2,000 entries annually from 100+ countries, the scale and diversity of entrants signal just how seriously it’s taken in the industry. Being recognized here isn’t just for show; it’s a credible endorsement of excellence that resonates with both professionals and travelers worldwide.

What this awards means to us

Every award is important to us, as it shows that the hard work our team and partners put into making car rental easier and better for our customers.

As always, we're thankful to each and every team member for the roles they play in making our company successful in fulfilling its mission. Special thanks is always warranted for our dedicated customer service agents who work around the clock to provide the best support in the car rental industry.

This is the first time we've won in the International Travel Awards, but we don't plan on it being the last. We seek to continue working hard toward our goal of making the car rental process seamless. In the coming year, we plan to harness the power of AI to help provide an even more valuable service to worldwide renters.
