Located on the Mediterranean coast,  this southern city is one of the most popular travel destinations in all of Turkey thanks to the lovely shoreline that surrounds it. In addition to beaches, Antalya is also a historical destination that has been inhabited for millennia and bears the heritage of many famous civilizations. These are three of the most interesting attractions in and around it:

• Hadrian’s Gate. Although the Roman emperor Hadrian is best known for the wall he built several thousand kilometers from Antalya separating the ancient Scottish tribes from the rest of Britain, he also had a notable presence in the Eastern Mediterranean. The gate, now located at the heart of Kaleiçi, Antalya’s charming old town, was built when he visited the city almost 1,900 years ago and has stood as one of the symbols of the city ever since.
• Antalya Museum. One of the largest and most impressive in Turkey, Antalya Museum is dedicated to historical art and archaeological findings that originate from Mediterranean Turkey. The museum is made up of 13 halls and an outdoor gallery. Exhibits include everything from statues of Greek goddesses and Roman emperors to Anatolian carpets and old imperial coins. • Kemer. There are many lovely city beaches in Antalya, but if you find the hustle and bustle too overwhelming, the smaller resort town of Kemer is one of your best options. Still popular with locals and foreigners alike, but with a noticeably slower pace of life, Kemer is known not only for its scenic shoreline but also the ruins of the ancient harbor of Phaselis. Located southwest of Antalya, the town can be reached in about 50 minutes.

Terminals

The three passenger terminals are T1, T2, and Domestic Terminal. T1 and Domestic are connected, and you can walk from one to the other. Shuttle Bus 600 runs between T1 and T2.

Location

The airport is about 13 km (8 miles) from downtown Antalya. Motorway D400, Aspendos Blvd., and Ali Cetinkaya Blvd. are the main roads connecting Antalya Airport to the city.

There are car rental desks in the arrivals halls of all three terminals.

Services and facilities

You’ll find a number of snack bars, cafeterias, and fast food restaurants, as well as several shops, including duty-free outlets, in all terminals. There are also ATMs, three lounges, baby changing facilities, a children’s playground, a health clinic, two pharmacies, and prayer rooms. Luggage lockers can be found both in Terminal 1 and in the arrivals hall of Domestic Terminal. Many of the facilities are equipped for travelers with reduced mobility.

Nearest gas station

Petrol Ofisi, located at Yenigöl Mah, Serik Cd. D:No: 68, can be reached in less than five minutes and is open 24/7. There are many other gas stations near Antalya Airport and on the way to the city.
