Pros: The drop-off in Florence worked fine. We ended up with a nice car, but it was only because the one employee took pity on us when his boss (who refused to even give his name on the phone) wanted to leave us (two females, a mother and daughter) stranded very far from the airport at night in a country where we didn’t speak the language or know how to get around.

Cons: The Venice office felt extremely fly-by-night, unsafe, and was easily the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. Also, the directions of where to meet the shuttle are wildly wrong. This is not really an airport rental car office. (Another customer told us they used to pick up at the water tower right outside arrivals, but the airport authorities made them stop, so now you have to walk all the way to the edge of the airport property.)

Pros: They did actually rent us a mostly functional car although we had trouble with every step of the process.

Cons: They are impossible to find and the directions they gave to get the shuttle from the airport were very hard to follow. The shuttle itself had no business markings. The car we got had a problem and they failed to help us with it. The time to get between the rental location and the airport is way too long.

Pros: Luna in the Venice office is an absolute gem. Because of her, I award the service 5 stars. She is so accommodating and is doing about 3 jobs herself. She is definitely not getting paid enough for what she does!

Pros: Pickup time was unacceptable. Once we arrived at the station the service was good. Being able to drop the car at another location (Milan) was helpful. The staff in the Milan location were extremely efficient and our shuttle came within 8 minutes.

Cons: Our family was left standing outside in full sun at the airport, for an hour. We called several times to let the office know we were still there with no shuttle pickup. Finally an Italian Gentleman who was also waiting, called angry, and a shuttle came in 15 mins. This is unacceptable customer service. No customer should be told pickup will be in 13 minutes and left outside on pavement for a full hour. We would have waited indoors had we not been told (repeatedly) that a car was already enroute.

Pros: The first person gave us our car promptly and because the car was so dirty they exchanged it for a cleaner car. The second car we rented in Venice was accidented. Everything was a mess inside the car including the tow equipment that was left in the back everywhere after they transported the car there

Cons: The first car we rented from Rome broke down on the Amalfi coast and left us there. We had to get someone to help us. Thank God the problem was minor and we could have got back. Afterwards the car broke down again when we were next to my aunt's house and the car started going on reverse when we're just putting in Drive and would go into Drive mode when we put into reverse it was a real The second car which I have on video was shaking. It was accidented and it was dirty and they tried to pass th Thank goodness I had put everything on video to prove my way I hope I get compensated for all the trouble this company has given

Cons: The car itself was actually fine, the service was non- existant. The shuttle service was totally unreliable, we had to take a taxi to the office. The agents were very rude, understaffed and overworked. Net net took over 2h from airport to pick up the car.

Cons: It is located a few km away from the airport and requires them to pick you up via a shuttle that does not run regularly - and requires you calling their Italian number. They did not pick up the phone for an hour and kept me waiting at the airport in that time.

They also had the incorrect return address which caused me to spend over an hour trying to find the location to return the car. Horrible customer service and experience.

I called Rental Plus on June 29th to confirm their address and to let them know when we would be returning their car and needed a shuttle to the airport. The rental service which we paid to hire a car were absolutely disgusting the way they treat me and my wife, we did not end up even getting the car even though we paid for it. Pros: Rentalplus was the best car renting experience we’ve ever had. We’ve rented with diverse other companies in multiple countries and this was the best experience by far. There was no pressure to buy insurance since we had it with our credit card, no hidden fees, the price we saw online was the price we paid at pickup. The customer service reps were genuinely friendly.

Cons: The only down side was trying to find the pick up location at Venice Airport. There could be signs to guide the consumer to make this process easier.

Cons: I only read the section about getting the free bus and caught the public bus, didn’t pay for a ticket because I didn’t read the entire document (it’s not the public bus), and then paid a €60 fine just to do a round trip of Venice and end back at the airport to which I phoned them and they were amazing. Cons: The directions on what to do when arriving to the airport to get the shuttle could have been a little clearer. We figured out that we had to call to receive pick up but the directions on that were unclear. That was the only minor issue.

Pros: The staff was great. Please keep in mind that there is a lot of information that needs to be collected when renting a car. It’s going to take time. Please have patience. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They don’t deserve rude behavior!

And you stated the instruction partly wrong. You just said, I can wait the shuttle at the meeting point. But there was no regular shuttle that I can just go and wait at the meeting point, I had to call the agency for the shuttle. But you just said, "You can call". It should be stated "You should call."

Cons: Poor assistance services. Assistance line only offered tow trucks, one day before our wedding. This left us to change worn and damaged tires ourselves, at our own cost. The only other solution offered by RentalPlus was to catch a train to Florence or Rome for a substitute car.

Cons: after a day the car issued a warning light that the oil needs to be changed. we didn't know what to do with this, called the desk, they didnt know what to do, call the car service and they said that they only come to take the car to repeair if needed. we filled the car with 50 EURU worth of oil, but it didn't effect the problem, the light kept on beeping the entire 2 weeks. we also had to but water for the car engine, because it was dry after a day.

Cons: Shortly after I picked up the car I had a low tire warning. I turned around and went back to RentalPlus. They didn't have the ability to add air to a tire so I had to switch out the rental car. This took too much time and felt like an "excessive" solution to just some air in a tire. It took too much time.

Cons: We had paid for a large vehicle (category B) to ensure we had sufficient space to fit bikes in the back of the car. Upon arrival we were given a Fiat 500 (Category A).. definitely not suitable to fit 2 bikes in the back! We were told that there is no difference between category A and B.. if that is the case then why would anyone pay for category B? There is too few employees to manage the demand they have, so delays are highly likely. Pick-up process is very in-formal and unclear (no signs).
