Drivalia at Venice Airport

Pros: Absolutely nothing. Rude, first tried to add extra fees (claimed a late pickup fee. I arrived 19:58, the receptionist worked 5 mins on her tasks before addressing me and started "because you arrived after 20:00 there's a late fee". Then went on to claim my credit card (physical, listed bank Klarna, used always for rental) didn't work. Without even trying it. She had decided to not give us a car. We walked out without a car, hungry fam, 40 deg.

Cons: The attitude, the staff, the lack of any constructive solution provided. The complete and utter disrespect for a family in 40 degree hot Italy, (as the car park shuttle didn't arrive for 40 mins), just looking to start their dream vacation. Instead, Drivalia made this the nightmare start for us - and DiscoverCars didn't help. We had to rent a car with Europcar, and pay 1500 euro instead of the 950 euro the DiscoverCar would have cost. Plus additional ubers. I expect compensation, and an apology.

Pros: Flexible for changing car from all electric to petrol.

Cons: 1. I was scheduled to pick up my vehicle at 10:30 a.m. but did not receive a vehicle until 12:00 (noon). Waited 1.5 hours in the office. 2. When I received my vehicle, it had not been cleaned on inside or outside of vehicle and had a number of dents/chips. I had to ask for it to be cleaned as it had a number of stains on the seat. 3. The vehicle battery failed during my rental. I was able to get a replacement but Drivalia will not reimburse my 170 Euro cost.

Pros: The whole experience was a scam now.

Cons: Clearly that wrong damages were claimed and I literally have a full insurance with broker and thats why I am so upset because if I had actually done something it would have made sense to understand the damage claim but clearly when I didnt do anything wrong and my ENTIRE security deposit is somehow claimed tells me so much about your company.

Pros: The car had a lot of glitches. I also did not realize that their default is electric cars unless you specify fuel which seems like a way to trick you because we did not plan for electric so we had to spend 20 euros a day plus 22% VAT to get fuel car.

Cons: Bad directions for dropping off the car. Address provided was across from Bolzano train station and had to drive around in circles looking for location. I had to park and go into train station and scan a paper to find that the actual drop off was a different location and walk back to train station. Need better instructions on that.

Cons: At the dropped off time, the office was closed. We have to leave the car keys in a metal box. We needed to ask questions about something wrong we did in our trip, but nobody could help 🙁.

On the day we reached, everything was fine on call while talking tk Drivalia but when we reached to take the car it was already given to someone else because we were late. Since delay was from our side, we were happy to pay car rental for the missed day as well but giving our car without a call or prior notice left us stranded in Sun with a baby on a hot day. Was told to take refund which still not

Pros: It was a very bad car with 57000 km very dirty and it wasted a lot of petrol the car seems to be plug in hybrid but there was no cable!!!

Cons: Was lied to by Drivalia employee about ZTLs and whether there are fast-charging stations from Venice to Florence to Rome. Also lied to about whether electric cars are exempt from restrictions. Was given wrong address for drop off, causing enormous stress and wasted time.

Cons: Did not receive the hire car as the credit card was not in the driver’s name.Was not able to change the driver’s name. Everyone in the line - waited for over an hour - had a problem and was not given what they had booked. Staff not helpful and didn’t care that we then had no options. Would not let us use their phone. Would never recommend them. So upsetting.

Pros: They give us a bigger car but it doesn't work very well, it was difficult to pass 100 km/h and in the highway the car was so slow.

Cons: Terrible service, company cancelled our reservation because we were over an hour late to pick up a vehicle, which they don’t consider that flights can be delayed, and it takes time to get up on the shuttle to pick up a car. We end up stuck with a car and had to make new reservation and are still waiting for the refund for the reservation that we have paid for. Customer service, Arthur agency are unprofessional and rude.

Cons: Nothing. Pickup was not where it was stated. Took about an hour to figure out where to go and to get there. Third in line, took about 45 minutes to get car. Had us sign that car was in good condition before seeing but car had minor dents/scrapes on rear passenger side fender. Had no instructions for drop off other than Bolzano train station. Should have provided the directions upon rental which I didn’t receive until I parked the car in congested area and found an agent in the train statio.

Pros: The only thing going for it was that it was economical.

Cons: The car we were given was very dirty when we picked it up and it had been outside for a long time and was covered in bird droppings which had scarred the paintwork so couldn't come off. I was embarrassed to drive a car that looked like that. The driver's window would not always go up so we ended up getting out of the car at tolls and car parks so as not to risk having the window down for the trip. It was very inconvenient!

Cons: The man getting the cars in Venice was rude. We had a friend join us and we thought the car we had (advertised as 5 people 2 pieces of luggage) would be big enough. It wasn’t . He came by looked at us and said “ you’re not going to fit but not my problem!”

Pros: Nothing--there was no service. When I picked the car up, the windows were so dirty I had to stop and buy cleaner as I couldn't see to drive. No instructions given and when I returned it at around 3pm, no one around to receive it and no instructions had been given. When I called, the rude agent said just leave the keys in the car! Then hung up. I had also called as I had inadvertently gone through the wrong toll booth and tried to pay the toll. ABSOLUTELY no help and talked arrogantly

Cons: Nothing. Rudest agent I have ever dealt with and then at the end tried to say there was damage to the car when there was none. Word of warning, take extensive pictures before and after of every angle of the car. Do not expect ANY service or help and protect yourself!!!!

Cons: Rented a Jeep “or similar”. Got one of the most lousy cars I have ever driven (brand DR???). Poor quality and no extras what so ever. In the rental agreement it said snow chains included. No snow chains. When I asked for it, they said the car had winter tires so no need. The tires were all year tires, and had it been snowing in the mountains, we wouldn’t have had a chance.
