Viaggiare at Venice Airport

Pros: Service was good

Cons: At Venice Airport, Viaggiare has their compound for rental and return in Car Park 6 which is a bit of a walk especially if you get lost trying to find it as I did. Quicker on the way back but not “in airport” - it’s still way superior to Noleggiare who are complete crooks in Venice … I’d walk an extra mile to avoid Noleggiare - and walk a whole vacation rather than use them again !

Cons: The car had a damaged fuel door and made strange noises when idling. Also it would sometimes fall out of gear when driving.

Cons: What made this experience even more concerning was that, after my booking was cancelled due to this policy, I was offered the very same vehicle again at four times higher than the price I had originally paid

Cons: The car is not inside the terminal, and you have to walk for about 5 minutes to reach the vehicle. The car had not been properly serviced before pickup, and once I started the engine, the tire pressure warning light came on. I was told to go to a tire shop the following day.

Pros: Terrible service - Our flight arrived late and I called the agent to let them know. I was told my booking would be cancelled if I didn't get to the kiosk within an hour of my original booking. I've never experienced such bad service!

Pros: The car is in relatively good condition. Received the same mark that I booked.

Cons: In both drop-in and drop-off, the car parking is far from the terminal.

Pros: Drop of service was excellent. Very courteous and efficient. Your employee took the time to check that a previous issue was not of my making.

Cons: To much paperwork to fill in. Some questions seemed irrelevant. Excessive number of signatures. I tried twice to complete on line before my arrival but, for whatever reason, it would not let me complete the forms.

Cons: The Mahindra car was sub standard. The car was “clunky” and the media screen did not work which was very annoying.

Pros: I was told the car was at the airport, but in reality the car was in one of the outside parking lot of the airport without providing any transportation so start raining and I get completely wet before my 14 hour flight

Cons: It was advertised as St terminal Which technically it was so I paid a premium but had to walk 15 minutes in rain to get to car with suitcases

Cons: the parking lot is a bit of a walk but that's not a big issue

Cons: The cas was not equipped with winter tyres or snow chains, which are compulsory for circulation in some area in Italy in this period of the year. The rental company would provide snow chains as optional at extra cost, but this is not correct since when you rent a car should be in the condition to circulate according to the rules of circulation in place in the country. This was not the case.

Cons: They would not compensate and stay open for longer even when our flight was delayed. We were lucky that family could go to the airport and convince staff to stay open for an extra 45min so that we could get our car. Other people might have been stranded there. This is not great customer service. The car was located 10min away from the airport - not at any time were we made aware of this and being a wheelchair user made it very difficult - no help offered from staff.

Cons: Absolutely not friendly experience: - online check not working - long queue for pick up - priority given to phone calls rather than customers waiting at the desk (almost 1h30 spent at the desk to have a car...) - absolutely not efficient process for pick up.

Cons: Viaggiare prices are low but double check every inch of your car before you collect it. Our car had lots of scratches on the plastic body work such as the wheels covers and bumper. Given the number of scratches on the plastic I photographed 3 or 4 of the scratches and not all. BUT when I returned the car the Viaggiare team charged us an extra €120 for a single scratch on the plastic which I had not photographed. I explained that there were many scratches all over the plastics but it didn’t help.

Cons: Office is nowhere near the cars location so was not shown around the car on pick up, told to take photos if any damage not on record sheet. Nobody present when dropping car off at the end of hire, again had to drop keys at the office, got off the plane to a £300 bill for a scratch the size around 10mm wide, luckily had all videos and pictures showing this, emailed these immediately, had no response to 3 emails and still have the credit card deposit being held, absolute scammers

Cons: I didn't receive the car agreed. For the costs incurred I would expect a higher quality vehicle with included navigation etc as is normal on vehicles now.

Cons: Scam company, they trying to charge for fake damage, the car was in bad condition full of dents and scratches, no new damage was done at all but they picked a small existing chip not on the damage report and are trying to make money.. Not recommended at all, absolutely disgraceful behaviour..

Pros: They charged me for a scratch on the wheel which I missed at collection. I definitely didn’t put it there! This silly game of ‘hunt the extra scratch’ so they can charge you an extra 100 Euro is pathetic! I definitely won’t used them again!!

We were regular Viaggiare customers when located by shuttle bus, this time has been a nightmare - we have had the kind of experience being scammed with damage already present that you hear about sometimes, even after taking and providing videos and images of car on collection (we were surprised at bad condition.) The staff ask you to sign unseen.

Cons: The charge of nearly €500 applied for a minor scratch on a car with over 30000km on the odometer. This company are robbing customers. Our travelling group were also charged €25 for their car not being clean! Both cars were dirty when such supplied. A disgraceful company that should not be represented on your brokerage website.

Cons: It took 2 hours to get to the car rental desk from the Terminal building as I received several misleading information the whereabout of the shuttle bus.

Tanking policy was not full to full but the current state to current state which leads customers to tank more than needed on return. We didnt get totally clean car from outside and we returned car only slightly dirtier, but on the return we were told to pay extra 25 eur for the cleaning (even nobody told us this info on checking).

Cons: We collected the vehicle 10 min later than the operating times due to not being able to get a taxi from Venice and got charged 60eur late fee + very rude service despite notifying them of the delay. We offered next morning pickup but they threaten to cancel the whole booking if not picked up urgently. Vehicle was dirty when picked and they still tried charging extra when returned cleaner than pick up condition.

Cons: The lady at the front desk who inspected my car had terrible attitude and charged me max on every little thing and overcharged on one category. I tried to correct her multiple times because I showed her the contract that I signed but she kept dismissing me. It was not until I threatened to talk to the manager that she admitted she was wrong and says she will refund me 200… I have yet to receive the refund. We will be seeking legal action.

When we returned the car, they located scratches that were already there and suggested that they were much worse or new. First, they accepted my video of the outside of the car, excluding one scratch. I have insurance on my card and they gave me an invoice to submit to them for $300+ for one scratch. They said it would be removed from the deposit, but the entire deposit was charged to my card. This is a scam.
