Moovers Mobility Lovers at Alicante Airport

Cons: When I picked the car up it was dark, and so a full inspection wasn't possible. When I returned the car, after 3 days, they quickly scanned it and immediately found a small dent, about the size of a 1pence piece, just below the wing mirror on the passenger side. It was very difficult to imagine how it could have happened as it was not in an exposed place, and the paint work was not scratched or cracked. I was billed €360 for the repair! Caveat Emptor!

Pros: They waited for our plane to land after a later flight delay, so we landed after closing our, even though there was a late fee charge.

Cons: They gave me a hybrid car that cost a fortune to run due to not giving me the charge lead. Vehicle was not cost effective

Pros: Because there is this small clause which states if you don’t have a plane ticket that covers the date you picked up the car and return the car they won’t give you the car. Movers said talk to discovercar and discovercars said it’s in the small print.

Cons: The pick-up from the airport with shuttle bus can be within a range of 200 meters with pillars in between. We missed the first shuttle bus, because it was all the way on the other side.

Cons: Tried to force us to pay for full insurance at a price that costs more for 2 weeks than I pay for a whole year for my own car. I explained I had taken my own insurance to cover the excess but he said if we had an accident which was our fault or was hit by an uninsured driver and the car was written off we may have to pay the full value of the car, I said on the hire agreement it said the maximum accident excess was 1000 euros but he said in some cases it could be the full value of the car.

Cons: They were not helpful at all and so rude, instead of helping.

Cons: They did everything they could to find the tiniest of scratches on the car which I’m almost positive must have been there when I picked it up as the car sat in a private garage for most of the time.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and efficient. I completed the paperwork online prior to collection which speeded up the process of providing the car.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike, they look a very professional outfit.

Pros: Nice car and staff However the insurance was high So I advice buying for a year in UK on car rental insurance

They send u clear instructions on meeting them at tje airport and lots of photos they take of the car when u pick it up. Would 100 percent recommend them. No pressure for extra cover.

Cons: Tried to upsell us to an adittional insurance that we already had through discovercars. Contracts in spanish make it difficult to understand what you are signing.

Cons: They tried to charge 400 euro for a scratch we didn't cause then reduced to 200 hoping we'd just pay up as we had a flight to catch - a trick used by hire companies I'm sure. They'd taken photos at night of the vehicle and either they missed the scratch or purposely didn't take a pic - it was dark and late we didn't spot it. On return they said we'd caused it and used the pics to show it wasn't there before l. We insisted they show photos prior taken in daylight - there was the scratch!

Cons: Stupid reason you need a flight number. They probably could rent the car for a higher pice to other people. After 4 times asking they still only say its in the terms and conditions. But no explanation why. Terrible!!!!

Pros: Moovers was easy to find. Pick up was quick. However, no Sat-nav on a modern car.

Cons: Moovers charge additional cleaning fees which I was not made aware of. Hired a car for a beach holiday and the assistant claimed the car was ‘too full of sand’ and would need additional cleaning. When I disputed this, I was told it was his opinion that mattered and that was the end of it. There was sand in the car but a minimal amount, not ‘the tonne’ he claimed. Totally unfair to charge extra money for a mandatory service that every car receives after hire. Would not recommend Moovers.

Cons: When returning the car a new staff member (Rivo) tried to blame us for a non existent scratch. We demanded to speak to Antonio and very soon he agreed that the car was ok. Another couple who had purchased the top up insurance never even had their car checked over! I do hope that Moovers are not becoming a ‘Gold Car’ company in as much as accusing customers of damage they did not do just because they did not purchase the extra insurance with them!!!

Pros: Really good service and there was no hard sell on insurance. The service provider went round the car with an ipad type which recorded all of the faults, which were then emailed to us. We were a bit dubious at first because they are a newish company, but we'd definitely use them again.

I collected the car in the evening, the staff at Moovers, emailed the paperwork to me earlier in the evening so I was able to complete it and the car collection was super fast. I really like that it's paperless. They stayed in touch during my journey and were waiting for me when I landed. Cars are always spotlessly clean.
