Current damage on car should be noted by the staff and verified by customer, however this didn't happen and the current condition report was blank ie zero current damage. Customer is expected to complete the current damage report themselves in the carpark which has very low natural light and makes it difficult to identify small but over 4cm scratches.

Cons: Filling out a form when collecting the car has no use. All information is the same as reservation. Waste of time. We got a MG ZS instead of our fiat 500X. The MG looks nice with a lot of space. But it has no power or torque. It's a 5 gear city car with very weak engine. I can't imagine driving 5 grown up people in that car.

I didn’t have one because the tank was full. Having a receipt doesn’t prove anything the gauge can’t tell you. Quite rude then no receipt to confirm the car is returned in a satisfactory condition. Jamil just told me “I am the receipt” but again, proves nothing. As far as I’m concerned the transaction is complete.

When we returned the car the agent (Estephani ) refused to give me a written ok approval and said my deposit and fuel will be paid back. I asked again for written confirmation that all was OK and she flatly and rudely refused saying we do not do that. I also said that there were some major issues with the car but she walked away.

Looking at reviews on internet there were several such cases similar to me which have exactly same experiences as me. They expect a person hiring car to first take a full video of car and go under the car and check if there is any dent else they will charge for it when car is returned.

Pros: On collection of the car, the record go people informed me the insurance policy sold to me by discover card wouldn’t cover what they said it should, and proceeded to sell me another policy. Also the full-to-full fuel policy when a full tank of fuel is already charged at picking is not good. Having booked a medium size car and expecting something suitable for a family I was given a Fiat 500 inflated version of the tiny one. Everything rattled and the throttle response was terrible.

Cons: Hired a medium size car, however this wasn't ideal deapite being a large SUV type vehichle (DR 4.0) the boot space was very small and not all luggage would fit in boot. Only had 2x cases 1 x hand luggage case and a pram. All fit easily into my own Skoda Octavia at home. A larger family would require something with more storage space for comfortable tavelling. The hiring of a car seat was expensive (almost double the cost of the actual car hire) but this doesn't seem to be specific to Record go.

On returning the car had a full tank of petrol. however, because I filled up more than 10km from the airport I was charged 1/8 a tank of petrol and a €30 admin fee. After discussing, the agent dropped the €30 charge and said that i would be refunded immediately 7/8 of the tank (€83). I have not had the money refunded after 48hrs. This should be return immediately.

Cons: Car was absolutely covered in huge scratches & dents upon collection - it looked really unsightly and considering how much we paid to hire this car with RecordGo, this was just not acceptable for us. It was a very clunky drive too and the lady at the RecordGo drop off office at the end was incredibly rude and un-personable. Really poor all round.

Pros: The car was canceld because i was later than 6 hours , even when i reserved and PAYED for the car. Ridiculous!!!

Cons: Unfriendly and pushy agent in Spain and the condition of car, pushing recordgo insurance. Taking £95 off me for fuel then returning it a week later and demanding a €1450 deposit for damages on card.

Cons: I do not understand why I was charged 74.75 euro for full tank of fuel and when I returned the car full from a petrol station within 2 km of the airport I was refunded 69.95 euro

Cons: Having to pay €1400 euros that I don’t get back for 30 days and having to pay for a full tank of fuel as well as the faff around having to provide receipts for fuel. Unhelpful cashier - had I not had €1400 in my current account I would not have been able to take the car which is ludicrous

Cons: Not enough staff to deal with the queue. Barrier would not go up when leaving airport so had to return to the office to get help. 2hrs from landing to being able to leave the airport was far too long.

Cons: I booked VW Caddy or similar and got the lowest end of that car type, Fiat. Car was really, really weak, like turbo was blown or it didn't have one? (It was diesel tho), and it also felt like it had no more than 60hp. So climbing Spanish hills was a bit scarier than it should, but on the good end, I had almost no chance of getting ticket for speeding :)

Pros: The gua at the desk was very helpfull

Cons: the guy at the desk forgot to ask the driving licence of the second (was foir free) driver. So a few days later we realised this and weren't sure of it was ok to let a second perosn drive the car. Car wasn't cleaned very well.

Cons: Long wait to pick up car. When they realised we had Purchased alternative insurance the attitude of the lady changed, she became very standoffish. When we picked the car up the damage was more extensive than was marked on the paper work, and l had to go back to the office and get someone to come and take photos to update there records again adding wait time.

Cons: BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY-if yiu book through discover cars you need to make a decision about insurance, either way will cost you. I opted for the hire company insurance for piece of mind. Car had lots of damage as well as a dodgy paint job and worst of all it stunk of cigerette smoke and made my daughter feel sick. I’ve retuned the car and for some reason they have taken €50 from my bank account with any notice or explanation why they have done this. They are not responding to emails

Cons: I was in a queue for over 40 minutes while the agents worked very slow. I paid £50 for what was advertised as the full insurance only to find it it was not the full insurance. They wanted an exter 220 euros off me for the full insurance otherwise is was only covered to dents up to 4cm... Then they said I had to fuel the car up at a petrol station within 10km of the airport or I'd be charged 30 euros.

Pros: We arrived late after midnight, the team were just about to leave to go home but waited served us and got our car sorted.

Cons: Didn’t like the extra insurance as we thought we’d already asked for it. So another £200 wasn’t what we really wanted.

Pros: Quality car in good condition and simple process overall

Cons: We fill out all details before. You know when we’re coming. Therefore you know when desks need to be manned and there shouldn’t be much to do. Instead, we were fourth in the queue and sat around for over half an hour waiting to get to the front, then another 15 mins on forms we’d already done.

Pros: That someone checked the car over when you arrived back so you can go home from your holiday with peace of mind that you won’t incur any additional charges. Also not many companies are offering unlimited mileage. This was actually the one thing that made me choose your rental service over others.

Cons: Having to fill up within 10km of the airport. I can appreciate why you do this but it is stressful having to find a petrol station when you are trying to catch a flight.

Cons: Shafted on the drop off inspection. Very poor customer service and unfairly penalised for scratch I could not identify at pick up due to the car being in a poorly lit car park.

Pros: We did not thoroughly check the car over at the start. When it came to be dropped off the representative was quite rude by way that they would not accept an explanatory reason. She found a Strat h which we did not spot at the time. However it states if the scratch is 4 cm or less it would be dismissed, which it was 4 cm, but they claimed was bigger than 4 cm. They were quite dismissive and did not give us a chance for explanation.

Cons: The woman at the desk was rude, never in my live have I met such an unpleasant service person. I had full insurance covering but still had to pay 335€ additional fee. As did all other customers.
