Cons: The car had a fault n the brakes, we were forced to pay an additional premium for the car, and we also had to pay for breakdown cover for a car that had a manufacturers warranty which always includes breakdown cover as standard - I am making a claim to recover these additional costs

The reason why was not clear but possibly because I only had a debit card rather than a credit card for the caution. I returned the car on Saturday evening with no issues but the following Thursday I still have not been refunded the 66 euros.

Certainly not €21 worth but ok. Another €107 was deducted for unknown reasons which I am contesting. Equally, as I didn’t know discovercars.com is only a broker, I had to pay another €170 for insurance to the hire cost. I’d avoid this gang of crooks like the plague.

Cons: The agents/service: "optional" requirement on consumer to acquire additional insurance or leave a 2k deposit was egregious. I saw a family with 2 small children cancel their booking and go back to the airport, as they believed they had bought full insurance already and could not afford the 2k deposit. Of course, the agent insisted buying the additional insurance is optional, but if you don't you must leave 2k euros, which for many families won't be possible. Disgraceful behaviour by the company.

Cons: One reflector was broken and I was afraid to be fined by the police. I had hard time communicating in English with some car rental employees, the ones working outside the office. The lady in the office tried to convince me to pay additional insurance and after being refused she noticeably changed the attitude. We had to wait circa 20 minutes for the shuttle bus to come.

Pros: The car had a number of scratches which had not been recorded. I was told to take pictures of any damage to show when I returned it.

Cons: I should have been allowed to inspect the car with staff before taking it. Luckily I had photos of all the damage otherwise I would have been charged.

Cons: The woman was rude and then aggressive once I insisted I didn't want her insurance. She wouldn't listen. She was extremely unpleasant and baseline threatening. We had to wait 60-90 minutes to even be served.

Pros: Absolutely nothing - they are con merchants of the highest order. When they tried to charge extra for perceived damage on the return of the car, it wasn’t entirely unexpected. We had photos that Click Rent only accepted when I started explaining to other customers about their suspicious approach to business.

They charged extra per day for a diesel car without giving me any other option to pick up an alternative. And claimed that I’d had a car upgrade (which I had to pay extra for) when I didn’t ask for it. On return of car, the assistant (same one) went straight to some ‘damage’ on the car - and was surprised that we might have photos of it!! It was pretty well hidden. But we did!!

They rang the office and when the shuttle arrived someone else took it. We were told they would return in 10mins, it took over 30mins for another shuttle to arrive. When a comment was made that the other family had been waiting over 2 hours by this point the driver told them that this was impossible!

Cons: I reserved a car using my VISA debit card. However at the service desk the agent told me that I needed to present a credit card which was not available. In case of absence of the credit card, the agent said I needed to get an insurance for the whole period of rent. Actually I didn't want to get insurance but I was obliged to get it otherwise I couldn't rent a car even by frezing enough deposit. As a result, I had paid around 168 euro insurance, while the rental fee was around 140 euro.

So, over £220 down. And once you are at ClickRent, it's very difficult to leave without a car... The car itself was half a size down from the one expected, but 13 Euros a day to upgrade.

Cons: The shuttle bus to pick the car up was nothing short of a joke. We waited and hour and half to be picked up despite messaging to be advised it would be arriving in 10 minutes. When it arrived we were told there wasnt enough space on the first shuttle even though we had been waiting longer than other passengers. We also paid for Sat Nav in the car however upon turning it on it said it wasnt available. Given we were and hour and half behind schedule we left it but we will be claiming a refund!

If the car had been washed it may have made that job a little easier to spot! Also the directions to pick the mini bus are wrong its level minus 2

Cons: No one expects to get a car for 3 days for £2.14, but the additional costs far exceeded what we were expecting and you are virtually bullied into taking out the top level of insurance. You also have to pay a tax on the fuel deposit, which you don't get back and it's not optional, so how is that not part of the original price quoted??? Very shady! I can't say it's not in the small print, it was, however, I class these people in the same bracket as telephone scammers! They spoilt our holiday.

Cons: We arrived at time I had wrote on my booking and car wasn't ready. We had to wait, especially my elderly parents for 45 minutes until we got our car, which I thought of disgraceful. I had order a what I thought would be a 4x4 or similar as my mum has knee replacement, but we were giving a low car which proved to be difficult for parents during the holiday. Also when I came back to drop of car there was no one in office to take keys (this was 9.30am) and I had to stand about and wait for agent.
