Lights flashing, rear indicator broken, front windscreen wipers broken - on day 7 of car hire I took back and requested an exchange and luckily they did and the agent was shocked at the condition of the car and the fact I had proof this was known about on day 1 on collection, with recordings of staff telling us the car was okay to take on Spanish roads - with no working rear indicators and no working front wipers!

Cons: We have used Victoria via DiscoverCars twice the first time the car was great the second time the car did not live up to expectation the booked model was an opel zafira 6 seater with 3 suitcases luggage room and the model provided was a Chinese alternative that did not have the space and was drastically underpowered. We are still waiting for our deposit and fuel money to be returned to our account. The agent checked the car, which was all fine and returned with a full tank of fuel yet he said he could not authorise the money to be returned to us as his manager had to check it the next day. Three weeks later and still no sign of the refund.

Upon collection, the inspection carried out by the rental company’s employee lasted no more than 15 seconds and took place in complete darkness, after 11 PM. I had to return to their office twice just to have them mark significant damage on the rims and bumper on the pick-up report. Upon returning the vehicle, I was charged for a minor scratch approximately 1 cm long—damage that most likely was already there when I picked up the car.

Cons: Reluctantly used as arrived late at night and usual companies weren't open. Overnight staff were pretty abrupt and unhelpful. When we returned the car on a Saturday, noone would check the car with us and said the only staff qualified to check work Mon-Fri. Surprise, surprise, an extra £25 for a tiny bit of dirt on the seat that I'd have washed in seconds had I been present when the car was checked. I'd avoid if you can. Clutch was also very sticky.

They wanted more more to book extra insurance again, when I had already paid additional for full cover. They refused the additional driver that was on my booking and between discover cars and Victoria cars they could not even get it added on within our 10 day rental. The younger guy (I will refer to as Shaggy from Scooby Doo) took no interest at all in us renting the vehicle. It was like he was doing us a favour. After passing us the keys to the car we discovered the car keys did not work on the car. I had to wait for ages then to get the other guy to help us and get a replacement. After another 40 mins we got a replacement car. No customer service!

Viktoria cambió el contrato a 200 km por día gratis, lo que da como resultado 800 km por 4 días de alquiler. La franquicia en caso de daños se fijó en 100 euros.

Pros: Very easy and straight forward, shuttle was waiting for us when we arrived and we were on our way within 30 mins

Cons: Filled the tank up at a petrol station 3-4 miles from office. Tank was full but they took it to squeeze 6 euro in and charged me for it. Not a massive issue but seemed a little petty.

Pros: The shuttle bus staff were very helpful

Cons: The office staff were very slow and surly. Everything seemed like too much effort.

Pros: The agents both on the transfer service and at the check in/collection desk we’re just wonderful. There was no pressure to upswell like other companies religiously do and the process was straightforward. I felt valued and put at ease as a customer.

Cons: Not clear if shuttle service was needed at Alicante airport towards office Victoria. Log time before we were picked up at airport. They were not prepared with their administration even they possessed our personal information before arrival. We had to control the car ourselves and had to mention all the damage on the car. They could have done this by themselves before and than we just needed to verify. The baby seat was not in place and they just gave it to us and was not clean.

Cons: Lied about fuel station Insisted we purchase 90 euros of fuel from them saying we could have a refund if we brought it back full Supplied a smaller car Within 2 miles of driving the car developed a fault with the gear box, the onboard computer said it needed a repair immediately. We called Vicoria cars who told us to continue driving and that it was a fault with the sensors. For the whole holiday we were expecting the car to break down. In UK we would not drive a car with a fault code shown

Cons: They showed us the car in the shade, I should have insisted they pulled it out of the bay to show us but as it only had 7km I thought it’s new! When we got to our destination we saw there were some small scratches on the bonnet. So we just waxed it and they couldn’t be seen but a bit of hassle we could have done without. the fuel policy is a bit odd. We paid full to full but they charge you €90 for the tank of fuel we filled the car back up at the cost of €56 they refunded 3 days later

Pros: The agents and driver provided very good service, friendly and welcoming. All the information I needed was explained by the agent about if an accident happens or etc etc, in an easy way for me to understand. Overall very good customer service. Also, Prices and all extra insurance cover was as I booked online, no hidden extras.
