AddCar at Ponta Delgada Airport

Cons: They didn't follow the pickup instructions, then they couldn't locate my reservation when I called them, and had to call multiple times before answering the phone when we had arrived. The car was filthy on the outside, and they absolutely nickel and dimed me when the fuel was just a little bit less than dropped off and I mean a negligible difference.

Pros: Quick ,pleasent, smily

Pros: Nothing! They didn’t show up!

Cons: Everything! I was one hour late and they were not there, neither the car. On the phone they said they cannot deliver. Felt like a scam!!!

Pros: I paid for a small suv like a nissan juke, they gave me a small skoda czech made car- not what i paid for, but fine- found have used better windshield wipers

Pros: After first contact everything ok.

Cons: According to information provided by DiscoverCars, the representative should wait in arrival hall with sign. Even if I provided flight number I was waiting 30 minutes and then I had to call to the office. From that moment it was fast, the representative came in 10 minutes.

Pros: AddCar is another broker, so you don’t actually know who the local company is until you’re there. The pricing was good and the service provided by the local company (Prime Cars Azores) was very good.

Cons: It’s not AddCar that you’re dealing with locally. They did not show up at the airport to pick us up, so we had to call and wait. It all worked out fine, but it feels very sketchy at first because you think you’re working with AddCar, but you’re not.

Cons: Eu aluguei na Plataforma uma viatura da marca Opel Corsa e entregaram-me um Dacia Sandero. Mesmo com um seguro com cobertura total de todos os riscos, obrigaram-me a pagar uma caução de 1.200€ de imediato mas, quando entreguei a viatura só me desbloquearam os 1.200€ 3 dias mais tarde. Deram a desculpa que o problema era do Banco, mas eu contactei o Banco e disseram-me que o desbloqueio é imediato e se não foi feito a culpa é da AddCar.

Cons: Viktor had an attitude he does not like his job for sure! At pick up we had to wait 20 min after first call. Second call placed and someone else picked us up other 10 -15 min. we were told the other guy unfortunately forget us to pick up who got the first call. At drop off victor made us really uncomfortable with the tone and attitude he had that morning. We did park at their door to say hi an and we there to drop off. Instead of helping us he made a scene he was rude.

Cons: Car condition and support: the car was not at the booked type-level, one of the tire was at its end-of-live and the windshield wipers were exhausted. We kindly talked with the AddCar's officers but they ignored my warnings.

I was expecting someone would be waiting for us at the airport, as it was mentioned on the reservation documents, but we had to call the company and wait some minutes for the transport...

Cons: Pick-up /drop-off SPOT should be better communicated in advance: during the booking process. The cars are NOT at the airport, but at the company approx 5-minute car ride from tge airport. There's an efficient pick-up 'shuttle service', but the client should be informed about the exact point where to wait for the shuttle driver. That vehicle should have at least the company's name displayed on the windshield. As clients, we were walking outside the airport, in rain with our luggage - stressful

Pros: In the website discovery cars.com we have the information that the pickup point it’s at the terminal but we had to take a shuttle! The pickup point wasn’t clear, any information about the agency at all the airport and now one was capable to give us that information. The personal was very kind (drivers of the shuttle and at the administration personnel).

Cons: The car was better than I had expected 4x4 and comfortable. However it was far to be perfect!. Firstly, the car was far from clean. There was a persistent odor of VOMIT🤮 , which made the driving experience uncomfortable. Beyond the cleanliness issues, I also noticed significant visible damage on all four sides of the car, indicating wear and tear that was not properly addressed. In summary, while the vehicle itself was a good model, its state of cleanliness and maintenance was unsatisfactory.

Cons: Were not there to pick up as stated in booking. Agent tried to charge me twice for additional driver stating I did not book it. Agent tried to charge me twice bc their machine died and she said it was not approved. I called up my cc online and showed it went thought. Said car was full of gas but before we even left the parking lot the gage went down. Bad - stay away I would write more but not enough typing space.

Pros: Perfect. Only I will prefer to take the insurance with the local provider. I had an incredible incident (an electric transformer exploded over the car by night while the car was parked, sprinkling melted plastic and metal over the car) the local provider was excellent, giving us a replacement for the remaining time.

Cons: Rental company charges $1500 hold which is a bit much, and maybe a little sketchy for foreigners from a different country. You have the card on file, so why take a $1500 deposit? The deposit was refunded when the car was returned in the same condition.

Cons: It's not add car but primes azores. We were said that someone from the car rental company will be waiting for us in the arrival hall. Nobody was waiting. We have to call them and looking for them in the airport. Then when we were in the office we had to wait 1.5hour to rent a car because representatives have been driving to the airport for another clients to the airport.

Pros: Pick up & drop off at the airport free of charge. Really great value for money, the car was actually new with only 5400km in it.

Cons: It was stated the car will have full tank and needs to be returned with full tank. We received it with half tank and had to return with half tank. It is always more customer friendly to receive the car full and return it full as you might over/under fuel otherwise

Cons: The representative didn’t wait for us holding a sign as he should, we discovered later that he was outside the airport and he picked up the wrong people who were waiting for another agency… Fortunately, they responded to our phone call at the office and a very efficient lady came after 10’ and arranged everything. !

Cons: Way too many sensors operating: Speed warning sensor; car in front too close, car in rear too close, being overtaken sends warnings sounds, overtaking sends warning sounds. Some are a complete mystery but none were able to be switched off. Suzuki Hybrid.

Cons: Never use ADD car/Premier car again. Instructions said someone would be waiting at the gate but they sent a WhatsApp message saying to call. At the time I did not have the WhatsApp app. Once we got the car the low tire pressure light was on. They did something and it turned off. Later that day it came back on and we put air in the tire. The light did not go off. I contacted them the next morning and they said it was a known issue and not to worry about it. Found out it was an employees car.

Cons: the contract stated there would someone waiting for us with a sign. we had to wander around the airport looking for the rental agency and eventually had to call them before they sent someone to pick us up. they charged me an additional $95 in insurance claiming that the insurance i bought from you was useless. the car wasn't ready and we had to wait while they cleaned it. when i got in there was trash in the front seat. never again.
