AddCar at Ponta Delgada Airport

Pros: Le contrat était très clair sans petites lignes surprises et les agents très sympas.

Pros: Very professional and friendly

Cons: I do not think you should have to wash the car on return or pay a ridiculous 30 euro fee if not done

Pros: They were vert friendly, great car

Pros: La voiture était propre et en parfaite condition. Elle m'a été remise rapodement et sans problème.

Cons: C'est tellement pas cher pour disposer d'une voiture pendant une semaine! Ça vaut vraiment le coup!

Pros: Very nice staff

Cons: The car wasn’t in very good conditions

Cons: I rarely leave negative reviews, but here I must warn other travelers. (1) Car not road-safe: tires dangerously low, one at only 0.3 bar. Warning light on, staff ignored it, I had to refill myself, light came back next day. (2) Poor cleanliness: crumbs, stains, smeared windshield. (3) Broken promises: quoted €15 for extra day, forced to pay €45 + fees, staff admitted mistake but refused to honor price. (4) Rude staff & misleading airport pick-up/drop-off, plus extra charges. Unsafe, unfriendly.

Pros: Nothing, I never recieved my car.

Cons: Booked a vehicle wasn't there.

Cons: They didn't follow the pickup instructions, then they couldn't locate my reservation when I called them, and had to call multiple times before answering the phone when we had arrived. The car was filthy on the outside, and they absolutely nickel and dimed me when the fuel was just a little bit less than dropped off and I mean a negligible difference.

Pros: Quick ,pleasent, smily

Pros: Nothing! They didn’t show up!

Cons: Everything! I was one hour late and they were not there, neither the car. On the phone they said they cannot deliver. Felt like a scam!!!

Cons: They didn't wait for me at the airport as they said. They showed up once I called them

Pros: I paid for a small suv like a nissan juke, they gave me a small skoda czech made car- not what i paid for, but fine- found have used better windshield wipers

Pros: After first contact everything ok.

Cons: According to information provided by DiscoverCars, the representative should wait in arrival hall with sign. Even if I provided flight number I was waiting 30 minutes and then I had to call to the office. From that moment it was fast, the representative came in 10 minutes.

Pros: AddCar is another broker, so you don’t actually know who the local company is until you’re there. The pricing was good and the service provided by the local company (Prime Cars Azores) was very good.

Cons: It’s not AddCar that you’re dealing with locally. They did not show up at the airport to pick us up, so we had to call and wait. It all worked out fine, but it feels very sketchy at first because you think you’re working with AddCar, but you’re not.

Cons: Already explained this in full

Cons: They gave away my car. My reservation was. Kt respected. Please get back to me at Ravisaacson@gmail.com

Pros: Overall nice experience

Pros: The AddCar people were nice and we were able to get all issues resolved.

Cons: I don’t know where the communication problem occurred but it felt like a bait and switch situation.

Pros: Was easy to get an upgrade for xtra charge

Cons: That the agent had no office at airport

Pros: Quick and easy

Cons: No complaints

Pros: Actual trust in the people

Cons: N/A

Pros: Friendly staff, efficient.

Cons: Asked for hybrid Fiat. Upgrade to a petrol Skoda which was thirsty?! Also thought I’d booked an on terminal car but it was actually meet and greet.

Cons: Viktor had an attitude he does not like his job for sure! At pick up we had to wait 20 min after first call. Second call placed and someone else picked us up other 10 -15 min. we were told the other guy unfortunately forget us to pick up who got the first call. At drop off victor made us really uncomfortable with the tone and attitude he had that morning. We did park at their door to say hi an and we there to drop off. Instead of helping us he made a scene he was rude.

Pros: Service velocity and effectiveness at pick-up and drop-off

Cons: Car condition and support: the car was not at the booked type-level, one of the tire was at its end-of-live and the windshield wipers were exhausted. We kindly talked with the AddCar's officers but they ignored my warnings.

Pros: Price and the condition of the car.

Cons: The not so good was the time it took to pick us at the airport and drive us to the local where the car was... I was expecting someone would be waiting for us at the airport, as it was mentioned on the reservation documents, but we had to call the company and wait some minutes for the transport...

Cons: Pick-up /drop-off SPOT should be better communicated in advance: during the booking process. The cars are NOT at the airport, but at the company approx 5-minute car ride from tge airport. There's an efficient pick-up 'shuttle service', but the client should be informed about the exact point where to wait for the shuttle driver. That vehicle should have at least the company's name displayed on the windshield. As clients, we were walking outside the airport, in rain with our luggage - stressful

Pros: In the website discovery cars.com we have the information that the pickup point it’s at the terminal but we had to take a shuttle! The pickup point wasn’t clear, any information about the agency at all the airport and now one was capable to give us that information. The personal was very kind (drivers of the shuttle and at the administration personnel).

Cons: The car was better than I had expected 4x4 and comfortable. However it was far to be perfect!. Firstly, the car was far from clean. There was a persistent odor of VOMIT🤮 , which made the driving experience uncomfortable. Beyond the cleanliness issues, I also noticed significant visible damage on all four sides of the car, indicating wear and tear that was not properly addressed. In summary, while the vehicle itself was a good model, its state of cleanliness and maintenance was unsatisfactory.

Pros: The efficiency of your staff.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike.

Cons: Overall conditions of the car, tires with low pressure, horn not functional.

Cons: Were not there to pick up as stated in booking. Agent tried to charge me twice for additional driver stating I did not book it. Agent tried to charge me twice bc their machine died and she said it was not approved. I called up my cc online and showed it went thought. Said car was full of gas but before we even left the parking lot the gage went down. Bad - stay away I would write more but not enough typing space.

Pros: Pleasant staff, Quick process

Cons: Difference in email instructions and the way things actually occurred.

Pros: Service was friendly and quick. The drop off and pick up were not at the airport but very close by.

Cons: No issues

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made the process simple.

Cons: There could be a few more directions at the airport or on the reservation explaining that you need to call for a pick up to go to the off-site office.

Pros: Perfect. Only I will prefer to take the insurance with the local provider. I had an incredible incident (an electric transformer exploded over the car by night while the car was parked, sprinkling melted plastic and metal over the car) the local provider was excellent, giving us a replacement for the remaining time.

Cons: The service is excellent to spot a serious car rental locator.

Pros: The staff are super chill and aren’t like the large chain rental agencies. They actually enjoy their jobs.

Pros: Easy, quick

Cons: Rental company charges $1500 hold which is a bit much, and maybe a little sketchy for foreigners from a different country. You have the card on file, so why take a $1500 deposit? The deposit was refunded when the car was returned in the same condition.

Pros: Friendly and helpful representatives.

Cons: It took some time to find the cover for the luggage compartment. I found it strange that the car was delivered without the cover...

Pros: La agilidad y facilidad

Pros: Our plans changed and they accommodated us by picking us up off-airport.

Cons: Checkin process was slow, office and it's location are not very nice.

Cons: It's not add car but primes azores. We were said that someone from the car rental company will be waiting for us in the arrival hall. Nobody was waiting. We have to call them and looking for them in the airport. Then when we were in the office we had to wait 1.5hour to rent a car because representatives have been driving to the airport for another clients to the airport.

Pros: Reprecetive not present at arrival, but showed up shortly after a phone call

Cons: Car was what expected, except the aircondition didn't work.

Pros: Clean car

Cons: Late for pick up, long cue to get car, poor communication, misleading rental information - stated pick up was at the airport, had to wait for 30 minutes for shuttle 10 minutes away from airport

Pros: Pick up & drop off at the airport free of charge. Really great value for money, the car was actually new with only 5400km in it.

Cons: It was stated the car will have full tank and needs to be returned with full tank. We received it with half tank and had to return with half tank. It is always more customer friendly to receive the car full and return it full as you might over/under fuel otherwise

Pros: Got expected car

Pros: Quick check out

Cons: Check in was extremely SLOW

Pros: Staff was polite and friendly

Cons: My car wasn’t ready when it was suppose to be. There was no one at the airport to greet me like they had said they would be. Just unorganized in my opinion

Cons: Was not at airport to pick up us at 8am. Had to call several numbers to find the correct number. Waiting 45 mins to get picked up by rental car agent. Car was not clean. Garbage left in the car from the previous renters. Overall, horrible communication from AddCar. Would NEVER use again.

Cons: I didn't like most of the things in this engagement

Pros: Everything except my comment below

Cons: The representative didn’t wait for us holding a sign as he should, we discovered later that he was outside the airport and he picked up the wrong people who were waiting for another agency… Fortunately, they responded to our phone call at the office and a very efficient lady came after 10’ and arranged everything. !

Pros: Friendly.

Cons: Way too many sensors operating: Speed warning sensor; car in front too close, car in rear too close, being overtaken sends warnings sounds, overtaking sends warning sounds. Some are a complete mystery but none were able to be switched off. Suzuki Hybrid.

Pros: Friendly and efficient staff.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Never use ADD car/Premier car again. Instructions said someone would be waiting at the gate but they sent a WhatsApp message saying to call. At the time I did not have the WhatsApp app. Once we got the car the low tire pressure light was on. They did something and it turned off. Later that day it came back on and we put air in the tire. The light did not go off. I contacted them the next morning and they said it was a known issue and not to worry about it. Found out it was an employees car.

Pros: Airport drop off

Cons: Drop off at their location

Cons: Some of the staff was nice, but there were also another employees trying to charge additional for any micro scratch on the car. Unfortunately this is a common practice by companies like this. Rather pay more at the beginning for some reputable rental car company

Pros: the car was functional.

Cons: the contract stated there would someone waiting for us with a sign. we had to wander around the airport looking for the rental agency and eventually had to call them before they sent someone to pick us up. they charged me an additional $95 in insurance claiming that the insurance i bought from you was useless. the car wasn't ready and we had to wait while they cleaned it. when i got in there was trash in the front seat. never again.

Pros: The customer service agents were absolutely brilliant. Made you feel important and that they would take care of you. Helped us when the car broke down.

Pros: Car was good. No problems.

Cons: Inconsistent

Cons: Woman tried to charge for scratch under car that was there previously. Very inconvenient pick up and drop off. Recommend ihla verde. No problems

Cons: They tried to up charge us for the model of car we had already paid for.

Pros: The motor was not powerful enough for the island

Pros: Professional

Cons: Nothing negative to say.

Pros: Easy to find. Friendly people

Cons: They didn’t know how their own baby seat worked. Value of the car for the money we spent is not ideal

Cons: Still waiting for deposit return. Already 5 days passed afte car returned, but deposit is on hold.

Pros: I like all the staff

Cons: I didn't like that the fuel wasn't full

Pros: The service representatives were very prompt, courteous and responsive.

Cons: Although our first vehicle needed to be returned on the second day due to a front-end problem, there is really nothing negative to say about the company.

Pros: Feel cheated because of insurance and no airport pickup and drop

Pros: The people were really helpful and the car was great.

Cons: Insurance double paid

Pros: Friendly

Cons: Didn't pick up the car at airport
