Cons: You need to be diligent on inspecting your rental car at pick-up and to point out all blemishes and concerns ... Autalantis will thoroughly review you car in and out at pick up. We took photos and wanted every blemish noted. We had no issues when returning the car. They take care of their cars.

Cons: When I brought back the car, they told me they found damage on the car. It turned out to be a scratch on one of the tire rims , about 1cm in length and maybe 2mm in width, something that was so negligible that it could have been there when we picked it up and even if it wasn't, it was incredibly small, practically unnoticeable and negligible in my opinion. They still put together a report, and made me sign it, saying I would have to pay for it. I'm 58 years old, never seen anything like it.

Cons: When you return the car to the car park you take a slip of paper on to the desk which I have never had to do before. There must have been 20 people on line to collect a car but they did have a shorter line for returns. Given that they don't need to see your car's you uses for the deposit it seems unnecessary assuming no damage is done to the car and would apees up the process for those picking up if the car park attendant simply collected the slips and a back office agent handled the credit card

Cons: Agent tried to rip us off when returning the car. It was barely used. He falsely tried to claim thete was a problem with a tire. Made us late for our check in and upset me. Also should have an email for contact from Toronto, not just a Portugal number. We wanted to cancel the extra insurance and report our flight delay. Caused much unecessary stress. Please credit us back the cost of the extra insurance as our credit card company covered it.

Pros: Car was value for the price and was in excellent condition. Didn't like the fact that the insurance purchased didn't/doesn't cover the claimed defect without me personally having to deal with the insurance company instead of the insurance just handling the cost. Would not recommend this provider to others looking to rent a vehicle.

The inspector for the return of the car seemed to already know where that nearly literally invisible ding was. Even though I purchased the maximum insurance offered, I still had to make an $1800 deposit. Had difficulty using Apple Play and attendant tried but could not help us. We wanted to change car next day as we are familiar with Google Maps and MapQuest and did not want to have to learn another system. Next day we discovered there is a delay of 2 minutes using Apple Play after backing up and using the camera (who knew? not the attendant) .

I have a video and photographic evidence that the damage was preexisting. Despite showing him and his manager the said the car had to be sent for analysis. I feel like I was taken advantage of in a foreign country. Very disappointed in the service. Typically I contact the rental agency directly to avoid this problem.

We were told we had no choice but to pay it despite disagreeing with the assessment. I'd be wary of the honesty and business practices of this rental agency. See photos. If you rent a car from this firm, take the time to hand wipe or wash any visible dirt from traveling around the island.

Pros: The assistance of the staff made renting in a foreign country as easy as I would have hoped it could be.

Cons: I personally had difficulty accessing the drop off lot at the Ponta Delgada airport, but the signs were slightly confusing (especially at 5:00). Any additional written tips about particular locations is always a plus to me.
