Cons: Agent tried to rip us off when returning the car. It was barely used. He falsely tried to claim thete was a problem with a tire. Made us late for our check in and upset me. Also should have an email for contact from Toronto, not just a Portugal number. We wanted to cancel the extra insurance and report our flight delay. Caused much unecessary stress. Please credit us back the cost of the extra insurance as our credit card company covered it.

Pros: Car was value for the price and was in excellent condition. Didn't like the fact that the insurance purchased didn't/doesn't cover the claimed defect without me personally having to deal with the insurance company instead of the insurance just handling the cost. Would not recommend this provider to others looking to rent a vehicle.

Cons: The agent took far to long to complete the paperwork for picking up the vehicle (some problem with the electronics working together. The inspector for the return of the car seemed to already know where that nearly literally invisible ding was. Even though I purchased the maximum insurance offered, I still had to make an $1800 deposit. And when I returned the vehicle and they said there was some defect, it turns out they determine on their own the cost of the "repair", deduct it from the depos

It's no big deal, I wasn't running late or anything, just having more specific directions (or signs) would have been nice.

Pros: The 34 euro fee for having the gas level a fraction below full is just your company ripping off travelers. The $1800 hold charge was excessive and having to go back to the desk to have that processed was unnecessary , tedious and annoying. I would not use you again. I have choices!

Had difficulty using Apple Play and attendant tried but could not help us. We wanted to change car next day as we are familiar with Google Maps and MapQuest and did not want to have to learn another system. Next day we discovered there is a delay of 2 minutes using Apple Play after backing up and using the camera (who knew? not the attendant) .

I have a video and photographic evidence that the damage was preexisting. Despite showing him and his manager the said the car had to be sent for analysis. I feel like I was taken advantage of in a foreign country. Very disappointed in the service. Typically I contact the rental agency directly to avoid this problem.

We were told we had no choice but to pay it despite disagreeing with the assessment. I'd be wary of the honesty and business practices of this rental agency. See photos. If you rent a car from this firm, take the time to hand wipe or wash any visible dirt from traveling around the island.

Pros: The assistance of the staff made renting in a foreign country as easy as I would have hoped it could be.

Cons: I personally had difficulty accessing the drop off lot at the Ponta Delgada airport, but the signs were slightly confusing (especially at 5:00). Any additional written tips about particular locations is always a plus to me.

Cons: No windshield washer fluid in the car - return was delayed a bit while they questioned a scuff that was on the car when we picked it up. To their credit, they found a photo of the car condition before our rental with the scuff and quickly apologized and sent us on our way.

It drove well, handled the steep winding interior island roads. We returned the car with interior clean, tank full and exterior quite dirty from Sao Miguel rain and mud.
