Record-go at Alicante Airport

Pros: Lots of scratches and marks - not all weee recorded by RecordGo, but thankfully I took photographs of them all.

Pros: No hard service on products when collecting car.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Cons: The hidden charges and not being truthful!!!

Pros: Everything was explained well, we found the desk easily and also the car.

Cons: The only thing we didn’t like, although probably our fault for not asking, but having a black car with leather seats in 35+ heat was uncomfortable. Maybe an idea for them to add a windscreen sun shade with black cars.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and happy to help.

Cons: I had an issue with our first hire car (MG). There was an issue with the tyre and I was charged €100 for a puncture. There was no puncture on the car. It was another fault that was the issue. I was a little annoyed at having to pay for something that wasn’t there.

Pros: They provided the right size of car and it was clean inside.

Cons: Car had loads of small dents and scratches. Many were not recorded on the pick up sheet. I tried to take pictures of them all but they were too numerous and many would not show up in photos due to dim lighting in the car park. At drop off RecordGo used a bright light to exam the car and found a light scratch (will polish out) that couldn't be seen in my photos. I was charged almost 400 Euros for this. I was told that my car was "targeted" because I had not taken out their CDW insurance.

Cons: Fuel deposit is done on a separate transaction and the amount refunded is £5 less than the amount paid so this policy is not transparent. I would recommned Discover as search engine but would not recommend Record

Cons: - Chaos in the queqe, wrong information about the rental - they charged me 23 EURO more than cost of rental and fuel deposit without any reason - record-go employee confirmed that the fuel level is 8/8. They didn't pay back the fuel deposit. - contact with record-go is almost impossible. Their support didn't reply to my questions - I lost 108 EURO (booking value 136 EURO) - the car which I received had broken engine

Cons: not asking which currency i would like to pay. without asking the lady took the payment in sterling. I always pay in euros. , i have lost out financial as you use much lower rate of euros to pound. I am your regular customer, i have hired cars from you before.

Cons: The car this time was very old for a rental car it had over 56,000 kilometres on the clock. The battery in the key fob didn’t work so we had to lock & unlock the car each time with the key. Funny how quickly you forget we always had to do that!!!

Cons: The car had 87,000 kilometres and a lot of scrapes and scratches it also smelled of cigarette smoke inside but the car served us well for the two weeks

Pros: There was a dent on the car but collecting after 11pm I was unable to tell anyone. I took a picture and sent to customer service email. When I picked up shared with staff who recorded this with no argument. Car was very fuel efficient.

Cons: Tried to up sell insurance at 103 euros extra and when declined told that the 1400 euro deposit would be held for a full month (wasn't correct). Also provided with condition of car and marks which didn't reconcile wit the actual condition. This meant that I had to take video evidence on pick up in case required if company were to make claim! The drop off office was also supposed to be open until 10pm but wasn't open at this time.Happy with Discovercars but will defnitely not use record-go again.
