Ilha Verde at Ponta Delgada Airport

Pros: Quick drop off

Cons: Nothing

Pros: When i got out to the car the agent was very kind, reminded us to take pictures & film the car & advised of a little about the car.

Cons: The pick-up desk situation( mentioned above)

Pros: The staff was friendly and professional.

Cons: the pickup service was a bit slower than I anticipated in comparison to some of their competitors I previously rented with. Perhaps offer "pre-pickup-checkin" to speed up things ?

Pros: Friendly agent, car in good shape, easy return process

Cons: Took a long time waiting in line to get car on arrival. Also pre-arrival checkin did not work - unable to submit info kept getting error messages despite trying multiple times.

Pros: Very convenient, as they are at the terminal.

Cons: Pick up speed could be greatly improved. There were two desks but they both had long queues. More agents at the desks would alleviate this situation at busy times.

Pros: Absolutely nothing. They are the worst I have ever seen.

Cons: Then they gave me the car without proper handoff and without assessing the pre-existing damage together. The pre-existing damage report was clean. They do not encourage the customer to check anything, so they can later blame them for pre-existing damage. When I brought back the car, no one wanted to check anything, close the agreement and relese the deposit. They said they did not have time and would do it later without me. When I tried to take pictures, the staff attacked me.

Pros: Not much, agent was not good

Cons: Poor pickup agent no instructions for pickup or drop off

Pros: drop-off speed and clarity

Cons: waiting time at pick-up

Cons: The car itself was fine but the agents at pick up were very pushy to give us an upgrade or purchase additional coverage (that we already had).

Pros: Prompt and responsive. Ticketing agent was helpful in suggesting larger cars to or our family.

Cons: Difficulty finding correct phone number in Azores to car when car broke in the middle of nowhere. We finally called an agent in Lisbon who struggled with determinating where we were.

Pros: The car was excellent.

Cons: I first went to the first Ilha Verde counter and was told to go to the other Ilha Verde counter. After waiting for an extended period of time, it was finally my turn but then was told to go back to the first counter that I was at initially. For the drop-off of the car, my flight was departing at 6:30 AM and I had to wait until 5:30 AM to return the car so that that I would not be charged an additional 31.65 Euros for the early drop-off of the car.

Pros: Super easy pickup and drop-off. Right next to the airport terminal.

Cons: Agent just told us where the car was, didn't offer any upgrades, but that's OK - didn't expect anything more.

Pros: staff knowledge

Cons: staff were not friendly

Pros: That it was in the airport

Cons: Easier to load luggage and closer to doorways

Pros: The check in was endless. So slow. So inefficient.

Cons: Pick up was awful

Pros: Newer and clean car. Rapid car return service

Cons: Extremely slow pickup service.

Pros: absolutely nothing

Cons: This was an absolute scam from the start. They nickel and dime you for documents, they charged for gas even though the tank showed full and they went off estimated KM remaining, and they lied about new damages by saying our photos were not clear enough and compared the current state of the car to photos they had when the car was new YEARS ago. Horrible human beings.

Cons: The only issue was finding the car when picking it up. Numbered parking spots would help

Pros: They were open late when we landed we were late from the flight from Lisbon and the bags were delayed.

Cons: The issue w the gas and filling it up. The gas station would only allow for 3/4 of the tank being full, which was confusing

Cons: Pick-up speed

Pros: Friendly at pickup.

Cons: Not enough attendants at drop off.

Pros: Decent car

Cons: Compared to other known Portuguese car rental places I’ve used this was my least favorite, based on the car we received compared to price.

Pros: Easy to access at airport

Cons: Tried to hold us responsible for a dent when dropping off car but luckily had video when car was initially picked up, showing dent was already there.

Pros: Prompt attention to service

Cons: N/A

Pros: Efficient, and brand-new clean car!

Cons: Nothing, everything was excellent.

Pros: Pick-up at Ponta Delgada Airport was quick, and the car (Ford Puma) was in good condition. When I had a flat tire and damaged rim during the rental, their assistance was responsive and I was given a replacement car reasonably quickly.

Cons: A few things worth flagging: there was no spare tire in the trunk. At pick-up, staff pushed their own insurance even after I mentioned I already had external full coverage. The repair cost for my flat tire seemed high — €240 for the tire alone, noticeably more than retail prices. When I requested the invoice for my insurance claim, I was initially sent someone else's invoice by mistake (quickly corrected once flagged). The security deposit (€1600) was high.

Cons: 1. They were not helpful regarding the pickup time. Agent said that it was booked through a 3rd party(Discover). I initially did not realize that Discover was a 3rd party provider. If I had I would never have booked the vehicle.

Pros: Large variety of cars.

Cons: Limited information from lot attendant.

Pros: Short Ques and received an upgrade.

Cons: All good

Cons: I felt it was somewhat chaotic and understaffed. That being said the representative who handled our car did a great job.

Pros: The only thing I liked about the service was that never have to deal with them again.

Cons: The people were rude, the operation was UNORGANIZED and CHAOTIC. Lines took forever and the car I received was beat up already then they tried to charge me for damage that had already happened to the car. Good thing I had videos. Felt like a total scam.

Pros: Quick

Cons: Hard to find the car

Cons: Fast service, onsite at pickup and return

Pros: easy pickup and dropoff although I arrived before spouse and could not pick it up bc he was listed as driver, even though I booked it...

Cons: they were great

Pros: Easy, I mean easy.

Pros: Everything was perfect and easy.

Cons: I found the insurance to be expensive.

Pros: I was absolutely satisfied with our little Renaul Clio. Sometimes it was very useful to drive in the narrow streets of many Azores villagaes.

Cons: None

Pros: Availability

Cons: Really slow pickup after we had pre-registered

Pros: The agent gave us great advice to upgrade to an automatic because of the hills on the island and he was right!

Pros: Very courteous agents.

Pros: Did not like service

Pros: Everything

Cons: None

Pros: Everything was perfect

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Fast and easy service.

Cons: The large hold on our credit card took 30 days to come off.

Pros: Overall, all representatives from the counter, pick-up and drop-off were very friendly and helpful. The process is fast and there is not too much confusing paperwork to go through.

Cons: It is not clear that the additional coverage is from DiscoverCars and not from Ilha Verde directly. So when we checked in they said we only have the basic coverage which was not true. It would be clearer if all parties were aware of the coverage applied to avoid confusion. Otherwise, the service was great!

Pros: Staff took time to make recommendations about the island.

Cons: Personnel at check out could not explain policies for minor damage that could happen with the car and or policies regarding damage such as difference between scratch on plastic vs metal, etc.

Pros: Excellent customer service.

Pros: Drop off was very seamless and easy to drop off car with friendly staff

Pros: Quick and easy

Pros: Fast, affordable and easy overall experience. Car was clean with full tank and everyone was really nice and helpful

Cons: Car had some broken parts in the booth cover

Pros: I have been a customer service for 12 years. They have been consistently wonderful in all aspects of renting a car…especially customer service.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: I wish all rental car experiences anywhere in the world were this easy, professional, and satisfying with an absolutely great car.

Cons: Nothing. You nailed it in every way and we will rent from you again the next time we visit the Azores.

Pros: That their prices were in the airport, unlike other low-cost competitors.

Cons: The selection we made was for a Peugeot but they gave us a Ford Focus. The cost to add a second driver was very high, approximately as much as the rental cost itself!!!

Pros: Not complicated

Cons: The agent at the front desk is really expéditive, unfriendly. The baby seat is a big fail.

Pros: Speed of pick up and drop off

Cons: The price was very competitive but the car had many scratches that were marked by the staff. The extra insurance was 4 times the price of the car hire

Pros: I did not like the serve at all. We waited 45 min in a short line, the service providers were curt, they did not explain the pick up information or drop off services. We had to find the car without any assistance. We did not take pictures of the car but did notice it wasn't clean. We were discovered that we had just over a half a tank. When we returned the car, they told is we had $450 of damages. We had no incidents with the the car but since we didn't have their insurance, we had to pay .

Cons: Never use this company!!!!

Pros: The easy booking, speed of car pick-up, and drop-off. We luckily did not have any issues during our stay, as the car we got was in great condition.

Pros: There are a lot of negative reviews on Google so I was worried, but in the event the hire was fine and service good. No concerns.

Pros: They offered an electric car, which is my preference. The car was well equipped. I also liked the fueling policy, where I was allowed to return the car uncharged with no extra fees. I like the pre-paid charging card, although it was not clear where the card is authorized and where it is not.

Cons: Due to good offers, the check-in office was rather crowded, and at check-out, we also had to wait a bit. The car itself was good, but apparently, it had been used by a smoker, which made the air in the interior unpleasant. Next time, I would also appreciate a bigger traction battery. This one required frequent charging, and sometimes it was a challenge to find a charger that accepts the card. Surprisingly, some Galp chargers did not accept the card, while some other providers accepted the card.

Pros: Good price, good car

Cons: Waiting to pick up car took too long. Need more queues.

Pros: The only reason I didn't give a 10 is because I think those scores are ignored. The car and everyone with Ihle Verde were great!

Pros: Please see previously noted probmems.

Pros: The agent was extremely polite, professional and helpful.

Cons: We only wanted a 7-passenger but had to take a 9-passenger due to lack of availability. Also, I was sent an email to check in early for our car pickup but after going through all of the steps (entering personal info, passport #, drivers license #, etc.) there was an error message saying that the driver's license was not authorized to drive this type of vehicle. When we got to the pick up place, there were no issues so I don't know why there was an issue when doing it online.

Pros: Fast and knowledgeable and friendly

Pros: This was one of the best car rental experiences I've ever had. All Ilha Verde staff with whom I interacted were professional, friendly, and honest. There were no attempts to upsell or engage in any other shady practices that are common in the car rental industry, such as trying to charge a customer for pre-existing damage or add previously undisclosed charges. The car was in great condition.

Cons: Everything was perfect.

Pros: Fast in person service. Website was easy. Car was clean. Return was easy. Deposit returned on site. Personnel was courteous.

Pros: No issues, quick drop off, would recommend

Cons: The wait to collect the car was a bit long. Would help to have more staff or have quicker process

Pros: quick and clear

Cons: A travelling companion rented the same car for the same period and received it at a far lower price than I paid.

Cons: The rental was in dire need of an engine tune up. Worse, the auto transmission drifted backwards on step inclines when in drive!!! Incredibly dangerous.

Pros: There was so many bumbs and dents in the car and every single one of the have been payed for by an insurance but not fixed, huge money scam on your side.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Easy to check-in/pick up car. Car was clean

Cons: Asked for a car seat which was provided but no one helped us to install it so we had to figure it out on the spot with a crying baby so that was pretty stressful.

Pros: Since they did not have the car i booked (diesel), they did an upgrade for a small cost.

Pros: Good customer service and good price.

Cons: N/A

Pros: Fast service at the counter both for pick-up and return.

Cons: Slow service in the parking borh for pick-up and return. They should have more staff during peak hours.

Pros: Consegna e restituzione rapide, prezzo competitivo

Cons: Auto scelta da catalogo non disponibile

Pros: It was competent.

Cons: Agents including at return could have been friendlier. The tire tread was low; the car had many miles and no hub caps.

Pros: Nice people and fast service, very efficient!

Cons: Car could have been a bit less damaged (small hits/bumps - nothing critical at all) but at the end, it is less risk for me so that was fine.

Cons: Everything was very great

Pros: FRIENDLY SERVICE

Cons: DIDN'T ANSWER THE PHONE, MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS WITH NO RESPONSE.

Pros: Very kind agent at the reservation counter who answered all my questions.

Cons: A little difficult to get help with a few car functions once we got the car. This was only because staff were busy with other customers, but perhaps having more staff on hand during peak times would be good.

Pros: All employees were extremely knowledgable and helpful

Cons: Have nothing negative to say

Pros: Excellent! Quick and convenient! The car was great!

Cons: I wish the rental companies on the island had more options for an automatic.

Pros: Ability to use a debit card (not credit)

Cons: The air conditioning in the car wasn't working.

Pros: You get what you pay for. I always use them every year I return.

Pros: The ladies behind the desk were very sweet.

Pros: It was easy and quick to find inside the airport. The car was ok

Cons: When we picked up the car we didn't have proper assistance by the agent in the parking: we asked for help with the child seat and he didn't help us carring it to the car (we had laggages) and installling it in the car. At the end of the rental period we've been charged 557€ for a small scar.

Pros: Quick and easy.

Pros: Very nice, clean car in excellent condition, I got exactly what I wanted, no problem.

Cons: No real air condition in the car.

Pros: Complete satisfaction, I recommend Ilha Verde.

Cons: Maybe ...blocking money on the card for a long time

Pros: This is our second time using this Website to get an airport rental car &both times we had great experiences. Would definitely use them again.

Pros: Very good people

Cons: Car was pretty scratched up when we got it and had very bald tires.

Cons: AC in the car did not work, brakes squealed

Pros: Ever hung from start to end , very helpful agents

Pros: Kedves személyzet!!

Cons: Me cobraron 100€ de más por recoger el coche más tarde

Pros: They give inferior cars to any body who does not rent from them direct it happens to me and all my friends we and up changing cars 2 to 3 times

Pros: Ac did not work

Pros: Car rented available and process relatively simple.

Cons: Initially rude unhelpful, but others were more professional.

Cons: Car only had 1/4 tank of gas at pick up instead of a full tank.

Pros: The assistance and resolution when I had a problem

Cons: The replacement car did not perform well and the pick up on the day we arrived was very slow indeed.

Pros: It was easy to find the booth in the airport. The drop off and pick up was quick and went smoothly.

Cons: We requested a car seat. The car seat was given to us, but the attendant did not know how to install it. There weren't any car seats available for a larger toddler, so the car seat we ended up with was small on our child. It was not the easiest to install. The attendant did not show us any specifics about the car settings either.

Pros: The car was difficult to drive from the very beginning, it struggled up hill. Eventually it actually broke down and severely overheated to max of 150. It had to be towed away on our last afternoon. So dissappointing to loose the last day of our holidays waiting for a tow truck and replacement car. Male staff at desk not helpful or sympathetic in any way

Pros: The ford fiesta was surprisingly responsive, comfortable and fun to drive.

Cons: All good

Pros: professional courteous service.

Pros: We were disappointed by the Peugeot 208. It didn't even have back camera. In previous island we got Renault Clio and Dacia Sandero and they were both better, especially the Clio.

Pros: At Ponta Delgada everything was easy and the car was great.

Cons: Drop off took longer than expected, didn’t factor in being in the same line at the airport with a plane that had just landed.

Pros: Pleasant agents

Pros: Pick up and drop off speed

Cons: Car condition

Pros: Fast drop-off, agent was waiting at the parking. Kind assistance.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Fast and smooth pick-up as well as drop-off. No extras were upsaled

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, and the drop off procedure was smooth.

Cons: The pick-up speed was atrocious.

Pros: Everyone was friendly

Cons: The car was quite old with 120000 on the clock

Pros: It's popular car rent, so the queue was quite long, but the agents were very professional and kind (without any push for additional insurance). Pick-up and especialy drop-off was very fast and easy.

Pros: fast help

Cons: For next time, I prefer to borrow the car without the deposit.

Pros: Fast, friendly service right at the airport

Pros: Agents made it easy to change pickup at a different location. No problems with returning car with existing damage.

Cons: Tires had very little tread.

Cons: One hour of queue to get the car. Unfriendly staff. Car was full of scratches.

Cons: the high deposit, even i was highly insured by the broker (DiscoverCars). Yes i know, thats another company, but maybe there could be an arrangement between DiscoverCars and you, in the case if someone is highly insured

Pros: It went by super smooth! The lady at the kiosk made everything super simple and I got the keys to my car fast. They didn’t try to upsell me anything and were helpful in any way possible.

Pros: Bom serviço, simpatia acima de tudo.

Cons: O carro já acusava bastante uso.

Pros: Quick easy service

Pros: Staff being efficient and friendly

Pros: The staff were very professional polite and informative. Always have a great experience when I have rented from them hope to do it next year as well

Cons: The only diesels that they had were bigger than what I rented and bigger than I wanted. They did change me to a different car, but it was a little bit of a hassle. However, the car they gave me was very nice and the staff was always friendly.

Cons: For car drop off I had to take the paperwork back to the terminal building. When I got there it was a large line. I never had to wait to drop off a car like that. Eventually I asked and they took my paper but you should improve this process as people have to go catch a flight and can’t be waiting to drop off a piece of paper.

Pros: Staff was friendly and gave detailed instructions about reservation, car collection, and fuel, easy car collection and return, car was as advertised and worked great.

Cons: N/A

Pros: They very professional

Pros: they did cancel our contract early as we asked due to terrible customer service and cancelled the very large authorization when the car was returned.

Cons: terrible not helpful and felt abandoned when our car had a warning light come on. The rental company was not helpful and refused roadside assistance. The car had issues for example the electronic system blacked out with apple car play as we were driving and could not be reset while driving and we got lost.

Pros: Terminal pickup was very fast. Very good value and was able to add a second driver at no extra cost.

Cons: I wasn't aware that the insurance quoted online was not available for the same price at the desk.

Cons: The car we rented had low tire pressure and we had to fill it up during our vacation. One of the head lights wasn’t working either.

Pros: The price I paid was the price I paid, no hard selling tactics and a decent vehicle for our trip.

Pros: fast and smooth

Pros: Focus on making sure the client gets a good service in a simple, friendly way. Everything is made easy.

Cons: Can't think of anything negative.

Pros: I was offered a car with a fob but no key. Being a senior I prefer a car with a real key, they thought that was amusing but accommodated my request!

Pros: They were prompt.

Cons: - car was much used previously, and therefore old, cranky, and had many scratches. Though it was drivable, it did not give us the sense of comfort and safety we were hoping for. - The fact that I paid for the full daily insurance AND an additional insurance in lieu of the security deposit of 1600 Euros did not make sense. - overall the car rental ended up being the highest cost of our trip. For the type of car and the condition we received in, it was not worth the total costs.

Pros: Speedy service. Good value

Cons: Car was fine, but had a few scratches. No big problems

Pros: End of season - quite understandable - car was in perfect shape except quite 'used' surface.

Pros: La rapidité et le prix

Pros: The car was in good conditions and the return process was very fast

Pros: No Air conditioning and and very poor brakes. We rejected the first car presented to us due to lack of AC and ventilation. Second car had ventilation but no AC and very poor breakes which made the drivning very unpleasant. The attitude of the staff was unpolite and irritated when we complained about the status of the cars.

Pros: Curteous and fairly prompt.

Cons: A bit of a wait to get the car due to returns.

Pros: As we pre paid there is no pressure in up selling any other Items. It was a Renault Clio iv so it had the google interface which ment.connect you phone via usb and you got goole maps and your music off your phone.

Cons: none

Pros: The car was great.

Pros: Very easy and fast pick up right at the airport !

Cons: Upgraded my car for 6 euros...

Cons: We received a larger vehicle than requested

Pros: Very efficient and friendly

Cons: Car was older model.

Pros: We had great service. First car had no air so they upgraded for our inconvenience.

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.

Pros: Fine

Cons: The online price was good, however when we arrived early, we were charged an additional $80 euros. Wanted to keep the car a couple of extra hours, quoted $280 euros.

Pros: Beautiful new Ford Puma - we enjoyed the car, its performance on the tight & steep Azores roads and gave us confidence.

Cons: Good service & helpful

Pros: They are very helpful, easy to be find, upgraded car without any extra cost

Pros: Clear and honest insurance information at this collection desk.

Cons: Long queue at collection desk.

Cons: Standing in the rain in the lot to get instruction for our pick up. Check engine light was on at pickup and we were told it was fine.

Pros: Nice vehicle

Cons: Standing in line to pick up and drop off vehicle. 45 minutes each time

Pros: See above, very friendly and helpful

Cons: First car given had a mechanical fault on clutch, meaning we had to return it, however they had a very efficient system to do this

Pros: The people at the front desk spoke clear English and were efficient

Cons: I couldn’t get my iPhone to connect for the GPS and I was told “it just doesn’t work”

Pros: Friendly

Cons: Long line to pick up the car but that is how it goes…not their fault.

Pros: Everything went well

Cons: My flight was early so I got the the car rental desk early (about 50 minutes). They said they don't have the car I booked and I need to wait an hour before they have my car available. Or I can pay an upgrade and leave immediately. Interesting, because if you get your car an hour late because the line at the car rental is too long (it happened to me here before), you don't get a discount.

Pros: Cordial, easy communication, good car

Cons: All was ok

Pros: Tires were almost bald: worn down to the wear undicators

Cons: We had a flat tire, the road service had us back on the road within an hour.

Pros: Spotless vehicle in perfect working order. Professional and courteous staff. Price was higher than in the US, but seemed to be consistent with the local market rates.

Cons: We were offered a larger vehicle which was not necessary and would have made driving the narrow streets impossible.

Pros: Great service, nice car

Pros: Very fast and efficient staff , very fluent in English

Pros: Representative was helpful when we exchanged our first car because it was old and seats stained and we saw other ilha verde rentals much newer.

Cons: Our original car a/c did not work and we got another car which we realized later was in bad shape and had to drive back to airport and spend TWO HOURS of our vacation exchanging the car for a better one.

Pros: I’ve been renting from Ilha Verde for over 10 years and the process for pickup and return has definitely improved. 15 minutes or so each way, with friendly and helpful associates.

Cons: This time around the car was in fair/poor condition. Filthy windshield interior, poor wipers, and worn interior upholstery/touchpoints. I got a low tire pressure light within the first day and discovered some tires were overinflated and some were way under. I don’t really mind the cars age, but they should be better cleaned. Between the condition and mileage it felt like maybe this car was ready for retirement. However it did the job and got us around the island safely.

Pros: Car in good condition, in-terminal easy to find desk.

Cons: I rented a compact SUV and they gave us a Mazda 2 - a mini car. When I asked about getting the correct size, they said it was the correct size (a Mazda 2 is not a compact SUV, a Mazda cx3 or cx5 size is the car I expected) and could do nothing about it. We liked the car but it was not what we rented nor a good price for that small of a car.

Pros: Due to the delay of flight we missed our connecting flight and arrived to Azores 5 hours later. They were very nice and waited for us even after opening hours to pick up the car. The deal was quick.

Pros: Eficientes, simpáticos e com excelente qualidade/preço.

Cons: Nada a apontar de negativo.

Pros: I paid for the full insurance which made it very quick and easy at the desk and collecting the car.

Cons: The car was pretty old to be honest. The indicator kept getting stuck on. It was the second car we rented from them and the first was excellent.

Pros: Quick and easy to pick up car at the airport

Pros: Hub caps kept coming off for no reason. Had to buy 2 new ones and take the rest off. Had to do an oil change as light came on saying it needed to be changed. Middle seat very hard to pull up to get people in the back seat. Back door does not stay open slammed and shut on my hip. Another service light came on as well. I called multiple times and no one ever answered.

Pros: Finding the agent in the airport was fairly easy, however, I would advise to request your car pick up for two hours prior to your actual arrival as I was unable to acquire the car immediately. Our flight arrived early and the car was delayed, and therefore there was a long waiting period.

Cons: Fantastic service, courteous and comprehensive, and their assistance and explanation of the vehicles, functions and condition.

Pros: Car was exactly what we booked and in good shape.

Cons: The booking said Discover Car but the desk is ILHA. So we had to ask around to find the desk. Our car was booked at 8 am and when we got there at 7:15 am they were not willing to give us car 45 min earlier (never happened in any other country). At drop off we got papers to bring back to the desk which should have been done by the staff. We waited in line for 30 min just to find out there is another desk 50 feet further where you drop papers off. Thay desk had only one person who was not there.

Pros: Los coches estaban sucios sobre todo el de delante y los retrovisores muy oxidados que costaba ver, la potencia fel coche muy justs porqie en las cuestas habia que ir en primera pero nos fubciono aunque el coche fuera viejo

Pros: Quick, prompt, kind.

Pros: Location of desk and quick car pickup

Pros: Car was clean inside

Cons: They try to make extra money last minute on ‘early drop off’. Long Lines when picking up

Cons: Never again! Definitly not recommended. They didn't check the car with us at the pick up (didn't even give us a paper where were signed the car damages). Fortunately I've immidietly took a video of the damages on the car and when we returned it I could prove them the damages weren't made by us. They also don't even give a receipt when they unblock your deposit. Not professional at all.

Pros: They were fast and they complianced with the booked conditions.

Cons: The lady who made the last document when we returned the car was bad-mannered.

Pros: Easy way to book the car and to pick it up from the terminal.

Cons: Dropping off took to long (25min)at the return desk

Pros: Pick up was easy, was recommended a SUV instead of what I originally had reserved since we were 3 adults with suitcases. Also recommended Diesel so it's easier on gas. Service was really nice and professional. Had to replace car twice, replacement was done quickly without any issues.

Cons: overall car inspection. Two first cars had no fictional A/C.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They scam us for 300€

Pros: Car had scratches all over. Older car no apple car play

Cons: Unfortunately the car died second day there. However , they did come within an hour or two to exchange the car for another. But it took time to get in contact with someone

Cons: While driving windshield cracked exchange the car and made me believe that I was not at fault until I returned the car and was charged $774 for something that I am not at fault

Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful.

Pros: Quick and efficient

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Desk directly at the airport, nice pick-up agent, smooth process, car in a good condition. Overall, professional service.

Pros: Everything was as I expected. Clean car, good customer service, and timely processing.

Cons: I have no complaints. I’ve used the company before and will again in the future.

Pros: Easy going approach and availability.

Cons: n/a

Pros: They upgraded me to a better vehicle after the first one allocated wasnot fit for purpose with external damage , a mechanical fault light on and loss of power on leaving the compound

Cons: The first vehicle allocated was terrible. It had external scratches all over it. There was a fault light on as soon as I drove it out of the compound and loss of power. I returned it straight away and insisted on a different vehicle

Pros: It was a reliable car.

Cons: The car didn't have the rear sound sensor, which was an inconvenience especially while parking in narrow streets and busy places.

Pros: the car was very clean and dependable

Cons: nothing at all everything was perfect

Pros: Profesionalita

Cons: Nic

Pros: All good. First time renting a car. So I have nothing to compare it to. Excellent experience.

Pros: Friendly, efficient staff

Cons: Having to return to check in desk upon return. If return agents had tablets could be 1 step process.

Pros: Pleasant and informative when picking up vehicle.

Pros: Drop off was very efficient and employees were friendly

Cons: Check in employees were indifferent and not friendly

Pros: The Azorean company did everything right, just at a much lower cost than the other companies.

Cons: Until a 2nd car rental agent arrived, it was going slowly.

Pros: Easy to locate, no wait time, cheap upgrade for bigger car. No complaints!

Pros: Ilha Verde provided great service and an upgraded car, customer-friendly fuel terms and unlimited length. Would recommend both discovercars and Ilha Verde for people travelling to the Azores.

Pros: The team was pleasant and helpful.

Cons: The car 'upgrade' provided a vehicle with too many miles and some operating issues related to seatbelt sensor going off and not being able to stop without restarting the car.

Pros: Very kind, pleasant and helpful staff

Cons: The check-in process is still too slow, like most rental agencies.

Cons: I left my phone in the car when I returned it, and contacted Ilha Verde customer support team, giving them all details, booking and license plate number. No one has contacted me back in a month, and the phone was not returned.

Pros: Everything made easy

Pros: Everything went smoothly, from pick up to return.

Pros: The price was fair, the car was sufficient for a family of four.

Cons: my flight at 8am was cancelled and move to 6am, so I leave the car sooner than expected. I try to reach the Ilha Verde during the night through several phone numbers, chat and nobody answer… I arrived at João Paulo II airport at 4:30am and nobody to receive us, no Drop off Box to put the keys, anything. Is the only company who doesn’t work with Drop off Box, but it should, because these unforeseen events, or at least pick up the phone 24h.

Pros: All of the staff I interacted with were great - friendly, helpful and efficient.

Cons: There was quite a back up of people waiting for cars when we landed. One or two more staff members to help with the check in would have been appreciated.

Pros: Our first car made a noise while driving that we did not like and trust. So we drove back to the rental company the next day and explained the issue. No discussion necessary: we got apologies and a other, newer car. Good service!
