Pros: Found out when there that deposit if 1500 euros takes 1 month to be released so didnt take car. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Wont use Gold car again. Probably why they were the only ones available on website!

Cons: Everything, car was an absolute state. Dents scratches, clutch was on its way out. Exhaust was blowing. Then charged me £1030 for damages I didn’t even do! Even after showing them evidence.
Pros: The drop off was easy.
Cons: Waited over an hour to get the car and then it wasn’t the car I rented. The service light was on. We had mechanical probs and the customer service was rude and did not address our concerns. I felt dismissed and was left to drive a car that had transmission probs.

Cons: Goldcar is owned by a bunch of bandits. Our car was damaged , clutch warn out. Cheap to rent but then they get you with insurance more than double the price of the rent a car ......never gain

Cons: pickup: lot of hassle that we did book through discoveryhire and not directly. Indirect threats that we were to pay a lot for damages if we did not take extra insurances Car 1: we had to change cars because the offered car had many damaages and a window that was broken and dangling loose. Car was not cleaned. Car 2: many damages, not cleaned either. Checked in the evening/darkness. On return the company found a scratch that we wrote down when picking up,but the guy said was new. Paid 750Euro

Pros: ...very little, but think we were very lucky in the end compared to others - the litany of problems experienced in recent times by literally hundreds of customers readily seen on Google reviews for this company. I really don't think you should be including this company among your car rental choices.
Cons: Long wait due to double handling of info already recorded in booking process.Very pushy re buying their expensive insurance despite already purchasing insurance with you. So I needed to authorise transfer of 1100 euros via credit card to cover excess, which can take up to a month to get back even if no damage detected.Never charged this much before & I rent a lot of cars.Told by others dropping car off that they were badly ripped off, so we were anxious all week - detracting from our holiday.
Pros: Very efficient at the desk. Staff at drop off very friendly
Cons: The car was in bad condition. It had the front grill missing and it had the tyre pressure warning light on from the time we collected it. The car itself "rattled" & generally did not meet the standard of car that you have paid £200+ to rent.
Cons: GOLDCAR SAID CAR WAS NOT COMPLETELEY COVERED BY EXTRA INSURANCE AND WANTED ANOTHER £154 ON TOP OF CAR HIRE FEE I WAS THEN SHOWN A LIST OF LUDICROUS EXTRAS THAT I COULD BE CHARGED FOR IF I DIDNT PAY THEIR INSURANCE SUBSEQUENTLY CAR WAS ONLY USED FOR HALF A DAY

Pros: The rental was cheap. We got an upgrade. Once the contract had been signed collecting the car only took a couple of minutes.
Cons: It took nearly an hour to sign the contract as there were a few people in front of us and the process was slow. We wanted to extend for two days and were told we had to return to the airport to sign a new contract. The cost of extending for two day was nearly the price of 5 days hire we had already paid. We felt the customrr service was poor.
Pros: The staff were friendly and efficient. No complaints
Cons: The vehicle's warning beepers were not working. The central locking did not work properly. For the size the vehicle had little power.

Cons: Waiting more than one hour to be served. It never clearly says anywhere we have to leave £1100 deposit for the car and then a lot of customers told us that this amount £1100 will never be returned. I will never use this service again.

Cons: They did not have sufficient cars available for all customers. I spent 4+ hours in line and was then told my reservation had expired. Lousy customer service and staff.
Cons: It was the worse service ever. It took 2 hours to pick up the car. In 2 days I changed 4 cars because they were breaking down (a/c, timing belt e.t.c). Never on time when changing a car and they rarely answer their phone. They try to cheat with the money by offering more insurance even when you already have a full coverage. When you drop off the car they try to find something in order to charge the insurance. I will NEVER rent from Goldcar again.
Pros: Relatively new car which was clean
Cons: Time spent waiting at arrival hall desk half an hour and a further hour in the car park late evening with no where to sit. Thanks goodness it wasn't raining we would have been drenched!
Cons: This company scammed and cheated us. They claimed they upgraded us with a larger car, but was setup. Can had many scratches/damages and was annotated during pickup. Car was dirty inside. Upon return they marked minor scratches they claim are new. The workers are crooks.

Cons: I arrived I had to wait 1:35 minuets to pick up the car The first car is not what we paid for therefore it was a very old car the a/c was not working and the brakes were broken. I called them to change the car and they told me that it was impossible I had to drive the car back to the airport with broken brakes. I hired a taxi to drive inform so i could follow and not to have an accident. Very very bad. Experience My first day of holiday it was a a disaster. After they changed it.
Cons: The car was in extremely poor condition with damage all over it. So much pre-existing damage that it was too much to keep track of and the agent failed to document a pre-existing minor scratch on the wheel. Then, when i dropped if off, they blamed the scratch on me and charged me over $600!
Cons: Would not use again. I was quoted a figure for car rental with a pick up time of 10pm. My flight was an hour late and when I landed I was charged double for picking up my car too late. The extra cost was applied from 10pm onwards, therefore even if I had arrived 30 seconds later than I wrote down on the website I still would have been charged double! Shameless money grabbing. The worst thing is that I was told that easyJet would refund which they did not.

Cons: Charged for senior and still have not removed the collision deposit after four days from returning the vehicle and there was no damage at all during the rental.
Cons: The petrol gauge on the car was not Working so even after filling up with fuel looked like it was only half full. The seatbelt kept unhooking the breaks were not adjuated correctly so however gently you pressed them the car would suddenly stop. Previous experience has been good but this time I was not impressed.
Cons: The hiden condition that were revealed at the moment of the pick-up. I haven't been informed about the deposit conditions and the insurence fee. I feel i've been traped.

Pros: Nothing. They made me queue with two little kids for more than two hours while they had no cars available
Cons: Goldcar agents were on the ground clearly overwhelmed I would have appreciated to be asked if I wish to wait and stand in the line even if they had no cars available and could not tell WHEN or IF they'll can ever provide me with a car. The lady at the counter has been waiting for over a day.

Cons: Initially the agent was the rudest most unhelpful man i have ever dealt with. He insulted me and made the whole process unbearable. Then when we went to the car. It had extensive damage and it was dirt inside. We paid for a Golf but as non were available he would not upgrade us but downgraded to a smaller car. On return the agent again refused to give us a receipt of return or sign the document to say the car was all ok and no further damage was done etc. Would recommend against Goldcar all day

Pros: The worst customer service by the lady at the airport counter of goldcar. She was the most rude and arrogant person I have encountered. Not just to us. But also to the elderly woman who was waiting for her car. The wait time and the quality of the car as well was the worst.
