Pros: The service was poor, the advertisment was not Ccurated. They provided us with a old car with no air con working in 37 degree heat. The car had dents and was scratched everywhere. One of the car passenger door wasn't working. Never again i am booking from abbycar.

Cons: The pick up was poor, we had to wait 30 mins for the staff to pick us up. Upon arrival to the rental service the car was in very poor condition.

Pros: I didn't like anything. maybe it's that with the separate insurance taken out there, you didn't have to worry if something went wrong with the car. but it was terribly expensive.

Cons: Que tuviera que pagar por no tener tarjeta de crédito 140€ y que me retuviera 400€ por seguro a todo riesgo cuando ya había pagado el doble del precio del coche por ese seguro.. Creo que si no tienes tarjeta de crédito deberían coger una débito y pagar ese dineral por ese motivo

Pros: The representative was always available to talk and was quick to answer. After the car wouldn't turn on a 2nd time he gave us another car for the stay and everything went fine after that. checkout was super quick and easy too.

Cons: The first car provided was a bit smelly and it was not very good. The days we rented this car was raining a lot and I think that caused issues to the battery of the car. For 2 times the car wouldn't turn on and we had to get the representative to come. The 2nd time we have us another car and after that everything went smoothly

Cons: I am having difficulties receiving my credit back. The car was in a bad condition with scrapes and cigarette burns on the seats when I hired it. When I returned it the car had a few additional very small scrapes on the rear bumper (which was already scraped). I feel like I am being charged unfairly by the company. We have come to some sort of agreement but I am still waiting to receive the money back.

Pros: Nothing at all, we were worried all week the car would break down and we were sure they wouldn't help us if it did

Cons: 1. They weren't Abby car they were 'Target'. 2. they didn't have an office at the airport (just a garage 10 minutes away) and didn't meet us on time 3. The car was dirty and had lots of defects, but we had no choice but to take it. 4. They did not inspect the car where we dropped it of so they didn't sign the doc to agree the car was in good condition. 5. They told us we weren't insured and tried to sell us £150 worth of extra insurance. 6. They haven't responded to any of my messages since.

Pros: Very cheap, especially if you have a second driver.

Cons: The car had dents on every pannel. However, on the plus side they didn't seem concerned if you were to add to those dents within reason (we didn't). It took some time to get picked up after phoning at the airport, and the office was about 15 minutes away due to traffic.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1600.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 90 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), flight information.

A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.

Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Winter tires are not mandatory in Malta.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge. The supplier will hold the vehicle for 1 hour after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
