DiscoverCars.com has been shortlisted for the Travolution Awards 2026

We are incredibly proud to announce that DiscoverCars.com made it to the final of the Travolution Awards 2026 in the ‘Best On The Road’ category. This was possible thanks to our success, demonstrated by owning the highest number of monthly website visits among our competitors since February 2026; excellent customer reviews; and products launched recently that have proved to be great.

Four companies have been named finalists in the category, including DiscoverCars.com. We are optimistic about the final results and look forward to hearing the name of the winner to be announced on the 26th of November.

Why is this achievement so special to us?

This year was the very first time we decided to enter the Travolution Awards. Although we didn't know it was their 20th anniversary in 2026, it just seemed the right decision to share what we have achieved so far and what we have accomplished over the last year. And that category - The Best on The Road - feels so perfectly aligned with our vision of being the world’s most reliable car rental platform by making the booking process clear, effortless, and enjoyable.

Our entry was a combination of an overview and recent accomplishments, where recent successful initiatives were the leading pieces connecting everything shared into one whole picture. The evidence we provided allowed us to confirm success from different angles - starting with the fact of us being the most visited car rental booking website up to the results of our own research and online media talking about them.

We are greatly honored to be shortlisted for the final. Being a finalist of the Travolution Awards 2026 - the first year we submitted our entry - is a strong statement itself and a reputable achievement we are very proud to share. Huge excitement is our inner companion for another month, though - until the name of the winner is revealed.

The entry process and the judging process

The entry consisted of three open questions, each of which covered different aspects of DiscoverCars.com.

We were welcomed to share a summary, which basically is a shortened informative combination of the company's overall details and success. To support the nomination, we were invited to proceed with all substantive data that we have for key achievements and evidence of success. Last but not least, we had a chance to share why this year is the year for our entry to win. This was all about emphasizing the innovative and recent reasons to be named the best - sharing remarkable achievements of the last 12 months.

The entry period was open for two months, closing in September, followed by a 2-week closed judging process. Finalists were announced on the 12th of October.

The winners are determined by an independent panel of proven industry experts who review hundreds of entries from travel brands, technology developers and digital services suppliers. As Kate Harden-England, editor of Travolution, shared, ‘This year was a genuine joy to judge the endless number of entries…’.

Judges were looking for evidence of meeting customers' needs, reliable success metrics, as well as innovative decisions and creative approaches that proved the boundaries of the travel industry in the digital world are not the boundaries after all.

The ‘incredibly high standards of supporting evidentiary data’ shared by the entrants in 2026 were also mentioned in the official Travolution shortlist announcement.

The Travolution Awards are a part of Travolution Ltd, founded in 2004 by Travel Weekly UK to spotlight online travel distribution, digital marketing and travel technology in the fast-changing travel world. The decision to focus on travel technology was pioneering and unique back then, and trust and reputation haven’t waited for a long time to be present.

The Travolution Awards are a prestigious awards organization, widely considered the UK and European industry’s highest honor for digital excellence and innovation.

This year, the Travolution Awards celebrate their 20th anniversary. The gala ceremony will take place at the City Central at the HAC in London on the 26th of November. Traditionally, this is when the winners are announced.
