Where “We Care” comes to life: Our 2025 Charity initiatives

Discovercars.com is a place that cares not only about our customers, partners, and the people within our teams - it extends to the communities and lives beyond our daily work. Guided by our “we care” value, we made a decision to support initiatives that reach people in very different life situations- from children and families to patients, animals, and seniors who need support the most.

We supported the salaries of “Doctor Clown” professionals who visit children in hospitals across Latvia, helping ease the emotional weight of treatment through empathy and laughter. Their work provides meaningful psychological support to young patients and brings moments of relief to families during difficult times. For us, this initiative reflects a simple belief that care is not only about treatment, but also about how people feel while receiving it. 💛

We supported SOS Children’s Villages in organizing the “Over the Mountains” camps for children who have experienced the loss of one or both parents. The initiative helps children and their families navigate grief, reduce loneliness, and build emotional resilience through shared experiences and professional support. We believe care also means being present in life’s most difficult moments, especially for those learning to cope with loss. 💛

We supported a youth centre Youngfolks.lv by covering essential rental costs to ensure it remains a safe and stable space for young people, especially those with limited opportunities. Alongside this, we contributed to preparing and distributing food parcels for refugee families, for whom this support continues to be vital. This initiative reflects our belief that care means creating spaces where people feel supported, included, and not alone, both in everyday life and in times of uncertainty. 💛

We supported a charitable initiative "Taureņa efekts" focused on children in foster care, helping provide access to sports opportunities, essential clothing, and meaningful social activities. This includes enabling participation in training, competitions, and everyday experiences that support both personal growth and a sense of belonging. For us, care also means creating opportunities so every child has the chance to develop their potential and feel included. 💛

We supported the Children’s Clinical University Hospital by funding essential medical and therapeutic equipment needed for critical cases. These resources helped improve the quality of care, support treatment processes, and create a more suitable environment for young patients. For us, care also means contributing where it can make a real difference in children’s health and recovery. 💛

We supported the Liberta animal shelter by helping improve living conditions for rescued animals through the installation of outdoor aviaries and the creation of a safe space for walking and socialization. These improvements not only enhance the well-being of the animals but also increase their chances of finding a home. For us, care also extends to those without a voice, ensuring they are safe, seen, and given a second chance. 🐾💛

We supported “Par Dzīvot” in providing essential support for cancer patients and their families, focusing on both improving quality of life and offering emotional and practical guidance. Through support groups, workshops, and individual consultations, the initiative helps people navigate one of life’s most challenging experiences together. For us, care means standing alongside those facing uncertainty not only in treatment, but in everything that comes with it. 💛

We supported Palīdzēsim.lv in providing ongoing support for families raising children with severe disabilities, with a focus on the well-being of parents and caregivers. Through movement and dance therapy, camps, and shared activities, the initiative creates space for emotional relief, connection, and a sense of belonging. For us, care also means supporting those who carry the heaviest responsibilities every day. 💛

We supported Hospiss in providing palliative care for individuals who do not qualify for state support, ensuring they receive dignity and professional care in their final stages of life. This includes helping those who, due to complex circumstances, would otherwise be left without access to essential services. For us, care means being there even when systems fall short- because everyone deserves support at the end of life. 💛

We supported "Dzīvības poga" in providing emergency response buttons for elderly individuals living alone, ensuring they can quickly access help when needed. This support helps maintain a sense of safety and independence for seniors who might otherwise be left without immediate assistance. For us, care means making sure no one feels alone or unprotected in moments that matter most. 💛

Our focus was on creating real impact where it matters the most - in people’s lives, stories, and critical moments.
