Cons: I thought being charged $NZ400 excess for a simple puncture during our trip was totally over the top. If I had the puncture repaired myself it would have cost around $40. There needs to be a separate excess/charge for such a small issue like a puncture. The charging of such a steep excess for a simple issue, one not of our doing, forced me to follow up with an insurance claim. This is proving cumbersome and time consuming.

Pros: The car was quite old - 125000kms - and had quite a few minor dents and scratches BUT was very economical and ran really well. Travelled long distances - approx 2500kms - and had no problems whatsoever.

Cons: I didn't like the that i had to leave a $2000.00 Deposit for a minor bit of damage to the car. Which I did not do. To help in these matters a dash cam should be placed in all of the vehicles. The car was parked over 2 days and the damage done then. I had a flight to catch at 10.am and they were not going to let me go until could paid the deposit. THEY DIDNT EVEN KNOW THER OWN BANK DETAILS. To pay money into their account by another person.

Cons: Unfortunately I had a minor accident (bump on rear fender) for which I took responsibility. I filled out claim forms at the end of our trip. They then indicated some problem with my driver's license. I responded with corrective information 3 days ago and have not received a response back. I am not sure how to proceed with the claim which was insured through Discover. So the rental was fine up until then.

On the last day of our trip, we had a flat tire. I expected that I must have run over a nail somehow. But no, the front passenger tire blew because there was no tread on the tire. The steel belts showed all the way around. We (and Yes Rentals) were extremely lucky that the tire blew out on a straight away.

Cons: The car was very old, very dirty, only had one radio station. Controls for navigation, radio etc in Japanese. Not up to standard at all and incredibly expensive for basically a "junker".

Pros: Nothing, it is a disaster! I got a 14 year old car, in addition, a tire had a crack. The safety of the customer is not guaranteed, it is only about making money.

Pros: The pick up and drop off were good and the staff were friendly- the only issue was the quality of car they rent and not getting anything like the car we ordered, so a very small car for a larger car price.. Their cars are also old and shabby although to be fair we did not check this, it was our presumption for the price we would get a car in better condition

Pros: The drop off to Airpark was easy and effective. To be clear this is not yes rentals but another company.

Cons: Hidden charges and poor service which makes Yes rentals an overall poor experience for the same price as a full service company. Will not be hiring again from Yes rentals or Discover cars.

Cons: Because of flight delay, we needed to change our booking, but it was not easy to reach Yes Rentals. The windscreen was dirty, but window washer didn’t work.

Cons: Pick up from airport was not very well arranged. we had to ring a few times to get through to office. Number on booking form was not correct we should have been advised the car had body damage

Pros: Such awesome service - my wee one was asleep in the car so rather than unloading, the attendant took us to the airport in the rental car! I was also impressed that while it was a drive to collect the car the process was easy and no issues at all.
