Pros: Pathetic service they again and again put me down and showed me problems of taking rental from 3rd party like discover and kept nudging me to cancel that and take a fresh booking directly from Snap

Pros: It was quick and easy and the car was clean, pretty new, no smell and nice performance as well.

Pros: Get a better car than I expected. The quote given by Discover cars is cheaper than book direct from SNAP. Free shuttle bus to airport terminal.

Pros: It's a 7 year old car, few scratches and dented. But quite fuel efficient and powerful. We bought the full coverage insurance from Snap so when there is windscreen cracked they just proceed to claim the insurance without questioning much so I can catch up my flight on time.

Pros: Snap had a great shuttle service from the airport and were easy to deal with. As they were very busy we asked to take the car without having the outside cleaned. This saved time.

Cons: As stated above, buy your insurance from the rental company so you don't have to still leave a bond. Third party booking can complicate matters insurance wise.

Cons: Hi there, I booked a car through DISCOVERCARS.COM from SNAP (DC-6073357). The total price was A$1420.73. I paid A$170.06 as a deposit. However, when we picked up the car on 2/Jan/2024, the receptionist told us what I paid was an insurance only paid to DISCOVERCARS.COM, not to SNAP. And SNAP don’t accept that insurance. If we don’t pay insurance charge to them, we have to pay N$2000 as a deposit and the car is not insured. This is ridiculous. Should DISCOVERCARS.COM have liaised with SNAP

I found it later on my PC, otherwise I would not have it anymore.... Someone bumped into my rear bumper and they need more than 1 month to replace that? Sounds strange to me.

Cons: The pick-up after hours was additional cost, and it was a bit slow given we paid extra. The pickup from the airport was quick and easy, but the number of people on the shuttle meant pickup paperwork was not overly quick, particularly as it was late. It was not possible to look over the vehicle as it was dark with no lighting so we were not able to make any observations until the next day. The car was also had dirty and muddy floor wells where they had been driven with very soiled boots.

Also, the car we booked for was not available so we were given a different car instead but exterior of the car is in 'bgelow average' condition with chipped taillight plastic cover, rusty panel and bird dropping on the bonnet. Obviously, it's the only available car on the yard that the staff quickly prep for us on the spot.

Calling the number provided in receipt didn't connect to anything. I waited there for over 10mins while I was getting late for my next appointment. Once the staff returned I told them I'm in a hurry, and asked her for the return procedures. The female staff acted as if I offended her by saying that. I still have not received any email regarding my bond.

Cons: When I had an issue with the car I couldn't get hold of snap rentals easily by phone for advice. Had AA come out to get it going. Being a hybrid there wasn't much I could do myself. Thought it might have a technical issue that could perhaps be sorted over the phone. Turned out it was the ordinary car battery that starts the engine that was down a bit.

The tobacco smell only became apparent as the inside of the car warmed up and after we had defrosted the windscreen. We had to stop to buy windscreen cleaner and glass cloth to make the hazardous windscreen clean and safer
