Pros: The car was totally different from what I wanted to hire. The engine management light came on while on our transfer to our accomodation. Then we had loss of tyre pressure on the passenger side front wheel which on inspection turned out to be bald and not road legal by UK standards. The car was full of dents and scratches which I had to photograph and video on the initial collection, so as not to be conned into losing my security deposit.
Cons: Thrifty tried to sell me insurance which I already had paid for through the discover car website. They charged me 50euro out of hours fee for simply dropping the car off and putting a key in a box! They told me I had to pay for a full tank of fuel on collection as there are no fuel stations open out of hours to fill up when I dropped the car off! There was a fuel station open just outside the airport. The car I hired was probably the worst car I have ever driven and not what I ordered.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1054.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.

The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
