Pros: Met outside Corfu Airport by Dirent displaying their company name. Was at the hire car depot in 5mins. Dirent surveyed the car in detail and pointed out all imperfections (most of which I couldn't even see!). I was even invited to video the survey - Very reassuring. On return, the car was given a similar check and no issues found. Contract signed before we were whizzed back to the airport. One of the best & most professional car hire experiences.

Cons: Car was in good condition but reverse gear shifting worked not easily. It was a little bit nervous to check scrathes on plastic wheel caps because more than 10 year old car had a lot of scratches everywhere on body. I have made a photo to avoid misunderstandings.

Pros: There was nothing exceptionally good in comparison to other rental companies. I liked they have sofas in front of the offices so you have a comfy place to sit while waiting (there was a lot of waiting!) I have a lot of things I did not like (other companies - or rather other locations than Corfu in general - work better imho), but overall, the rental was okay and with no major issues.

Cons: (1) We ended up being served by a different company, ValuePlus. I consider this as a scam - we ordered from Dirent, look for their reviews, and then end up someplace completely else! (2) Pick-up took soooo long. There were too many people at a time, and only two offices. (3) There are 4 more things I did not like, but this form does not allow me to write such a long review.

They had firstly placed one (unfitted) in the car for a toddler. I had to ask for them to find the correct size seat, the condition of it was not great.

Cons: The instructions weren’t correct when I landed at Corfu; on arrival I was asked to enter the office and then told to step outside while they served another customer. I was given an old car (which I thought was fine because of the price I paid); on departing the rental property I felt the cars quality was poor and the brakes were very loose.

Cons: The agent did not want to rent me the car because the country where my driving licence is from is not on a specific list she had. She did not want to help me at any time and had a condescending attitude. I cancelled and was immediately able to rent a car with another company - smoothly and without any problems. I have hired cars in the past in Europe and USA and this is the first time this has happened. All in all, an unnecessary experience when landing on a beautiful island like Corfu.

I was nervous that we would be tricked into paying an excess for a mark we had missed, no bigger than a pin head, but this proved unfounded. The car was basic. It sounded terrible when you turned it on. I'm not a mechanic but it sounded like the clutch was on its way out.

This is not the case and I had to make a phone call to find out who the renter was in order to find the bus.
