ACARENT at Corfu Airport

Pros: Nothing, bunch of liars. Waste of time and money. Should be avoided since there are so many decent rental car companies in Corfu.

Cons: Lousy attitude despite being informed about my delayed arrival.

Cons: They gave away out car to someone even though I rang to inform about the delay and asked us to pay €1000 euros to get another car. We had to decline as we were with a baby and needed to get accommodation straight away.

Pros: Nothing there are a bunch of sharks

Cons: Arrogant, argumentative very very aggressive in the way the handle the booking..There is not a good review written about them or their pseudonym SigmaCars

Cons: I did not like that they pick up only the drivers and bring just them to take the car. It's not far, but I think it would be better to take the whole group

Pros: Was the quickest service ever!

Cons: I got back up car, demadged (tyre control lamp), was home nade painting outiside ( it is riski, beacuse whwn you drop off the car neverjetno knows). But on the end it is ok.

Pros: Spoke good English and only a couple of minutes away from the airport .

Cons: They stole my security deposit for pre-existing damage and refused to give me the insurance details I’d paid for. Didn’t pick me up from the airport after 20 minutes of waiting.

Pros: They CHEATED us and many others looking at the reviews subsequently. Do not let them say there is damage when there is clearly not , especially when they say it is a scratch under the front bumper . They would not look at it and only feel along the bottom of the bumper - hence i took a video and there was NOTHING but dust where is had never been cleaned . The man and woman were very intimidating and threatened us that if we didnt sign we wouldnt be able to claim

Cons: The clear scam they pulled that no customer could get out of as we had give 1200 EURO deposit . They had obviously done it before and one member of staff looked VERY embarassed but said they had no power to do anything. Very upset and very sad - I have never written a review close to being this bad and usually only praise companies. DO NOT USE PLEASE

Cons: Huge charge for taking car onto ferry - €150. Website said £65. Incredible unhelpfulness of staff (on arrival, departure was better). No agent to meet me at the airport, had to call. Other family waiting with me couldn't all fit in the car. The suggestion by the lady who picked us up was for one person to collect the car and come back to the airport for the rest of the family. Dreadful service. Car had tracking issues despite being told it was 'new'.

Cons: It’s a cultural thing in Greece to be late by 15-20mins but when it comes to rent a car I find it unacceptable. I called the company 5times and every time they said “be there in 1min”. It took them 20mins

Pros: On the spot it turned out to be the company “Sigma Rent a Car”

Cons: On site, it turned out to be a different company with terrible Google reviews. They are accused of withholding deposits and blaming customers for pre-existing damage. At pickup, you must take your own photos instead of filling out a damage report — I got the car at night, and the poor lighting made the photos useless. The car was supposed to come with a full tank, but it had less than half. I was told to return it with the same level, and each missing bar costs €25.

Pros: These people are charlatans - they are running a sting operation to entice users and then do anything to try and say that damage has been caused in order to get there hands on as much of the deposit as possible. Based on my research into Sigma cars - the actual company name (not ACARENT) the are notorious repeat offenders preying on holiday makers. They should not be listed, they are predetors.

Cons: Sigma Carrs thieves running a sting operation too extort money out of hapless customers - I will never use your services to find cars again as I believe you do not conduct due diligence on the companies you list. I have lodged a case with my credit card company and will be contacting the Greece tourist board and police. I trust that you will do nothing and say that you are just and intermediary and its nothing to do with you, but rest assured that if you do I will make sure that people know.

Pros: I have rented cars all over the world and these lot are the worst.

Cons: Charged me €350 for a non existent scratch underneath the car. There was already marks all over the car which they didn't have noted either.

Pros: The denied me the possibility to rent a car. I had a credit card and a debit card and cash and I wanted to pay the extra insurance to reduce the deposit. At first they said yes and then they said no.

Cons: No reason to deny us the car! Just because the employer didn't like us and refused to help us

Cons: car was not the class we have booked, windshield dirty inside, things of former renters found in the car

Pros: The car was really nice and drop off was quick and friendly.

Cons: It was a challenge to pick up the car, not due to the fauly of Acarent but due to the airport which caused about an hour delay due to queues.

Cons: They found 'scratches' that could hardly be seen (definitely not seen on the photos we took during pick up because they were invisible!). They found these extremely quickly, as if they knew where to look for. They kept 550eur for repair (conveniently half the retainer) - this is definitely a scam to rip tourists off.

Pros: All good and quick. Car was almost new, clean.

Cons: I had to ring them 20 mins after they were due to meet us at arrivals and then was charged a late pick up fee.

Cons: We paid for a Toyota car rental but got a Fiat car. We had to pay EUR 149 for the car rental with insurance. We paid 230 euros. I would not recommend this company.

Pros: A neat, clean and fully working car - nearly new, btw. Transfer form and to the airport included in the price.

Cons: The rental man was appeared to be, so to say: cunning with all those extra fees. But at last had no objections to the car.

Cons: Operates under the name acarent on discovercars, but is GOcars in corfu and on your rental agreement. Absolute horrible people and scammers. Ran out of the office on return and without looking found a pin size scratch at the bottom of the door and went to fill out a fine. Holds your deposit as ransom rather than a pre authorisation. I will post a full review on google reviews and Trip advisor under its actual name of gocars. AVOID and please spend an extra few quid and go somewhere honest.

Pros: Nothing, we were told we had booked with Acarent but found we had actually been booked with Go Car - which has terrible reviews for fraud and scamming on Tripadviser.

Cons: Due to the severe weather and the roads being blocked I contacted the office to extend our car, which was agreed but 23:00 they told me to get it back to them so found it to be disorganised

Cons: This was the WORST experience I have ever had. 1) Was left to wait 55 minutes at the airport, was lied to, "I was there, you were not" 2) Voucher said full to full, was given half a tank "Full to full means same to same, give me 300 EURO fuel deposit if you want it full" 3) Unreasonable deposit 11O0 EUR (I did not notice, otherwise I would have canceled). 4) Threatening behaviour by the proprietor "If you do not have a photo, you will lose your deposit" He did not point out any damage himself.

Cons: They have charged me 190 Euros for damage I did not cause. They have not repaid my deposit.

Pros: It was poor from start. Nobody to greet us on arrival- had to call. Car was not very clean. Representative accused us of damaging the car on return (2mm stone chip not visible under the bumper) and withheld the deposit. They were late to the office to collect the car, which meant that we nearly missed the flight. This meant that there wasn't time to check the form that was provided for car damage, which I didn't complete and is not a true reflection.

Pros: Very friendly. Good quality cars. Located 3 mins drive from airport.
