Alma Car Hire at Corfu Airport

Pros: They are honest and efficient

Cons: signage wasn't clear as a number of different hire companies signs were on the building making it not clear

Pros: Nice, friendly staff... quick action since desk is about 500m from the airport, the lady took me by car back to airport after car drop since it was rainy.

Pros: Easy to pick up even though it's a short walk from the airport.

Cons: Car had an issue. Number on their documents was missing a digit, when someone finally picked up the phone they said they wanted us to drive all the way back to another city to replace the car with an issue. They said they could only bring a replacement car to us 2 days later. Car stereo didn't work properly.

Cons: They are only interested in selling overpriced insurance packages. They did not provide the car I asked for, the vehicle's tyres were not fit-for-purpose and the staff are rude and unhelpful.

Pros: Friendly and helpful

Cons: Cars are quite beaten up and had issues with tyre pressure from the off. But they helped resolve when we drove back one day.

Cons: the cost of the car was 130EUR higher at the rental office. They forced me to buy full insurance that i did not want. they would not have rented to me if i not buy it...

Cons: They made us pay extra expensive insurance fees, because they insisted to take the deposit from a credit card (which we did not have, and they did not except debit cards). (We had the same exact type of contract with discover cars in the azores and they excepted debit card there)

Pros: Car was pretty much brand new - exactly what we needed

Cons: The booking said the car pick up was ‘outside terminal ‘ . It was around 7-10 mins walk. You have to leave the airport site and it included crossing a busy road. It took a few phone calls to the rental firm to track it down

Cons: Initially we were given an old banger! However they did swap it when the front seat wouldn’t move. The car we finally got was ideal for dusty, bumpy roads!

Bonnet soundproof cloth lied on engine-risk of fire. Bent wheel am he vibrations. Dirty inside. They claim car has 50.000km but looks more for 350.000km Scratches allover car. Front lights worn and matte.

Pros: Value for money although car had many scrapes/dents it did not effect use.

Cons: Pressured sale pitch of fully comp insurance even though I explained I had my own annual hire car excess insurance.

Changed car. 4 days more car drop off. Key broken because of water ??!! We have to pay for it. €350 !!! The key is from a nissan micra. Not from a Ferrari…

Pros: The condition of the car was really disappointing- the AC was broken, really old car, and breaks not working proper. Really bad the way they offer that kind of car. We had to go back and change it as it was not acceptable considering I was paying 300 euros for a mini car for the week

Pros: The final agency wasn’t Alma Car Hire but Mega Rent, the service and the cordiality of the two agents I met at the pickup and drop time were excellent. I can’t give 10 points for the money spent because the cost of car hiring doubled this year compared to previous years. Anyway, I recommend Alma/Mega Rents for their service. The car we hired was a Nissan Micro equipped with aux and usb audio ports and also Bluetooth. I like to listen music from my huge phone library.

Cons: Car (Nissan Micra) was completely worn-out. The mileage of the car was 36000 km but shock absorbers, springs and silent blocks didn't function properly any longer. Another drawback is that agency accepts only credit cards (no debit cards !!!) for the deposit

Cons: I would have preferred a full tank when taking the vehicle instead of only 2 lines. It would be easier also the return, so you can simply fill the tank full near their office instead of calculating how to end with two lines when arriving there.

Cons: Car hire address is wrong and they're on another street combined with 3 other companies. Upon arrival despite having paid for full coverage was informed I had to leave a credit card on file. I only have debit. Was then forced to pay 70 euros for full coverage again or would not have a car. Previous car rental in Epiros a month prior had no issues with debit. Drop off was easy and no more costs.
