Pros: Good car at a good price

Cons: Finding the desk at the airport was difficult and poorly signed. I, like a few others followed the signs and it took us to the 8th floor of the carpark when obviously we realised we had to find to find the dispatch desk. Frustrating when it was closing in 30 minutes!

Pros: As we only needed the car to drive down the country and go back to the airport 11 days later I ordered the smallest car, e.g. Fiat Punto, at a fantastic price. Upon pickup we got a brand new Opel Corsa which was great to drive with and to me felt safer than a Fiat. We had no issues with any extra/false charges upon on our return which can happen with very cheap car rental. Thank you, will use Sicily By Car again.

Pros: Sicily by car at Vienna airport is a joke.They try to sell people most expensive insurance by telling that UK residents need international driving permit. I did check government website and it says clearly that if you hold photo card licence you don't need to have IDP.I did even ask 4 other renting companies and all of them did say that you don't need to have IDP. The operator who was working over there start arguing and didn't bother to ask his manager until I proved him wrong.

Cons: I definitely will ignore this company as it will cost you much more than other car rentals. Customer service absolutely rubbish.they only good to you if they can sell to you their recommended insurance .

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 70.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Licences issued in Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Gabon, Guadeloupe, La Réunion, Libya, Martinique, Mozambique, Nepal, New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, Samoa, St. Lucia, Sudan, Tanzania, Yemen, Belize, Eswatini, Suriname, Afganistan, Colombia, Grenada, Mauritania, Indonesia, Bolivia, Mayotte, Vanuatu, Zambia, Virgin Islands US, Guyana, Bermuda, North Korea, Eritrea, Cook Island, British Virgin Island, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Tonga, Gambia, Guinea, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Burundi, Bhutan, Chad, Comoros, Timor-Leste, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Saint Vincent & Grenadines, Sao Tome and Principe, South Sudan, Tuvalu are not accepted.

Renters from the following country(ies): non-EU must provide the following documents: International Driving Permit (IDP) in order to collect the car.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Senior drivers 70 years of age or older who wish to rent a vehicle must purchase Full Damage Waiver (FDW), Glass Cover, Tyre Cover.
Deposit and deductible policy

The deposit amount is 1 EUR.

During winter season (from 1.11 until 15.04) Snow chains are included in price.

Additional charges will be applied.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Alternatively, the renter may purchase a tank full of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty.
Electric vehicles must be returned with the same battery charge they had when picked up to avoid additional charges (on a per kWh basis). An additional admin fee will be charged if a vehicle is returned with less than 20 % battery charge remaining.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 01.11 to 15.04.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 0 minutes.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 59 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
