WheeGo at Vienna Airport

Pros: Good service

Cons: This rental company is located in the airport, flight land 24/7, and yet they charge a 100€ (!!!) for taking the car after 23:00 because it’s after business hours. I doubt the employee or anyone else in the airport gets paid this much. When you work in place that’s open 24/7 you need to have employees work in shifts.

Pros: Good service, clear instructions. And deposit was refunded the same day after return. It is indicated as one month, but it was 1 day - that was the best part.

Pros: the friendly check-in staff

Cons: the price and especially interior condition the tablet is absolutely BAD, its too small, the keyboard is too small etc, my fingers are big and it was a REAL PAIN to do the manual check-in that other companies do themselves so you are outsourcing work to me that I paid for. You can achieve this by asking me to do this earlier on a laptop or other device where i can do this at my leisure BUT NOT after having travelled >30 hrs

Pros: I was surprised that when we ordered an economy class car, we received a fully equipped car with an automatic transmission.

Cons: The agent behaved like a scammer He wanted to sell the additional insurance a second time. He wanted to charge my credit card a deposit that was twice as much as what was indicated in the Discoverycars app. After returning the car and once I was back home from the trip, I received a bill for a damaged car (198 EUR). Thankfully, I had taken detailed photos of the car before picking it up, so I could easily prove that I was not at fault and they refunded the money, but they didn’t even apologize

Cons: Charged me extra “insurance costs” as I didn’t have a Visa/Mastercard credit card. Unsure what the logic was there. Failed to mention there would be an extra charge for driving to a different country (€99). Sold me 10 days of Austrian highway permit even though the rental was for 3 days. Scam artists

Cons: When I went to claim the car the agent there said that I have to do an extra insurance to the car because of my license even though there was nothing wrong and it’s an EU international license and when I got my invoice it was mentioned as a (Lazy pack) ! also he charged me a big cross border fee, the car wasn’t as big as I expected but im not sure if he gave me the same class I booked online

Cons: I was offered a smaller car than ordered. I was offered ( and accepted) a second car but this still failed to accomodate 2 large suitcases in the boot. I may as well have saved money and hired the smaller car.

Cons: 1. My UAE driving license was accepted by other EU countries in the past and already discussed, agreed, accepted by WheeGo (mail) before check-in but it was not accepted by WheeGo counter person who has asked for new price without deduction of pre-paid amount and over booking price. This is the reason of WheeGo check-in counter person has asked for new high rental price and I have to accept it as no any options while checking-in. 2. The new car body was big scratched both left and right sides.

Cons: There were terms at the counter that didn't match my booking and I felt I had no option but to accept.

Cons: We actually didn't get a car from them after all. After we checked in on their computer, we came to the desk and they informed us that either we have a physical translation of our drivig license from Israel, or we pay an extra 30 euros per day, we said that we can show them a digital one, that we made and paid for they declined and wanted a paper one, we reread the contract, nothing in it says that we need to have it on paper, just to have one. And still they declined.

Cons: The car rental term was for 14 days, but the auto vignette for the vehicle was only for 10 days. Had I not personally reviewed the agreement before returning the car, and noticed it, and purchased another e vignette, I would’ve incurred additional charges. Again, hiding information when the car was rented. The rental counter agent said we were fine to drive on the way in Austria, but didn’t mention that it was only for 10 days.

Cons: Renting a car in Austria requires carting your luggage great distances. Not the fault of WheeGo. And the Austrians don't believe in air conditioning, so the terminals, tunnels, and offices were very warm in the hot weather.

Pros: Really speedy, hassle free process at pick up and drop off (drop off was out of hours). Representative was not pushy when I informed them I already had my own fully comp insurance. I had originally ordered a "mini" but upon arrival was given a much larger car (suzuki s-cross). Car was almost brand new and in immaculate condition. For the price of the rental I was pleased with the quality of service and the vehicle. I have used many budget rental firms before, but Wheego definitely the best.

Cons: I did not expect you to charge me 69 EUR for crossing the border from Austria to Germany. This is not written in the rental policy in the website as I proved to the representative, but still was charged. Had I known this extra charge, I wouldn't have rented the car from your agency.

Cons: Crossing a border fee, even to an EU country - is NOT included. We did not stayed in other country only crossed it but still had to pay an amount that almost doubled the car rental amount. I DO NOT RECOMMEND RENTING FROM WheeGo for not including border crossing fee in EU, as mostly you can't be sure a google maps / other app , would direct the short drive without bordercrossing.

It probably won't pay for him to rent me the car and the agent decided that he doesn't recognize an Israeli license!!! He asked for an international license as a necessary condition and finally canceled my order, I request to immediately open an investigation and return the payment I paid and await compensation for the great heartache, in the end I rented with another comp
