Megadrive at Vienna Airport

Pros: The lady at the pick up office provided a perfect service, was very kind and efficient.

Cons: The service provider at the car rental drop off center at Vienna airport (which serves most rental agencies) is a deceiver. Even though we were told that "everything is ok" with the car, after 30 min we were notified that the car "requires a special cleaning effort" and will be charged with additional fee of €60 per car (we had 2 cars in two separate bookings). The reason for the "special effort"- some grass on the plastic carpets. 5 mins work that could be avoided if we knew it in advance.

Pros: Prices are good. Insurance rates were also competitive. Fortunately never had to use.

Cons: Agent didn't articulate the pick up and drop car check system accurately. He shared the details of already damaged parts but the scanned details during pick should be matched with scanned details while drop. He kept saying, these are the current damages in the car and no matter what pictures you take, it won't matter. Scanned pictures should be used while we take the car Vs when we drop. He used the already existing details and those could be old pictures.

Pros: The manager was helpful in waiving the International Driver License requirement. Otherwise we would have been in a tough spot.

Cons: The car was a piece of crap. Tires made a thumping sound at highway speed and the whole car felt like it may fall apart. Also the car was marketed as a small SUV and was more like a compact car. Also the paperwork did not explicitly say MegaDrive required an International Driver License (which should be obsolete given smart phone translation capabilities). I haven’t needed one anywhere in 6+ years

Pros: Price structure - reasonable price for cross border

Pros: Cleare and speed

Cons: Nothing

Pros: the efficiency of mr. amin herzog

Pros: Very helpful at the check with n

Cons: It was no issues

Pros: The representative was very helpful and pleasant.

Pros: האבתי את זה שהרכב היה חדש לגמרי.

Pros: No-one phone numbers of Megadrive company is reachable. In case of any questions, there is no possibility yo get Company answer or advise remotely. This is bad condition. All others are good. Thx

Cons: The car had a high mileage ~70,000

Pros: Megadrive provided the car, and the handover process was straightforward. However, one paid add-on was not included as expected, which reduced my confidence in the overall service.

Cons: The ice scraper was missing. The windshield washer fluid was not suitable for below-zero temperatures. That made winter driving less safe and less comfortable.

Pros: Super easy. 100% worth money. Personalized service

Cons: Car conditioning - out of 8 last year rentals, two times received car with problems. Once with vibration from breaks, second - USB was not functional.

Pros: Call resold dented up

Pros: I rented about 6 times from Megadrive during last year and this says a lot. Mostly getting upgrades. No que, easy find.

Cons: The only I see as BIG issue with MD, the fact that they hard to reach by phone prior pickup and even if you are getting to their phone, it is in German wo any translation.

Pros: The Best value for money

Cons: Car not in the best condition from technical perspective. Breaks was not maintained well and not adjusted.

Pros: There was no extra in the trunk all the instruments were there but there's no tires. So if I had a flat tire I did not have an extra tire to replace it. So I was very lucky that I didn't have a flat tire. Otherwise I was in trouble.. if I had the flat tire it means that I had call a tow truck, pay a lot of money and waste a lot of time to fix the wheel on the car because there's no spare wheel to change the flat tire. So it was very disappointing that the rental car company did not check that .

Cons: The representative at the check at the airport was very nice and also the returning of the car was very fast.

Pros: Car was fine, some damage not noted in initial report but we sent photos prior to acceptance of the vehicle

Cons: Staff were terrible gave us the wrong drop off location and when we arrived they had moved had to drive to the other side of town. Phone number provided did not answer. Car had not been cleaned and had a gun under the seat.

Pros: Great price, easy pick up and drop off

Cons: Some hidden fees (service fee and cleaning fee). Additional driver fee also quite high. Despite all the fees, still slightly cheaper than alternatives.

Pros: Megadrive's service stood out for its efficiency, customer-centric approach, and reliability. Staff were consistently knowledgeable, making the entire experience seamless—from vehicle selection to drop-off.

Pros: On time

Cons: No thing

Pros: All as expected

Cons: All good

Pros: After returning the car, they add alot of charges, like special cleaning , wrb etc

Pros: Everyone was helpful and professional.

Cons: Service was good.

Pros: The service was good, although the reviews were not so positive. Although they found a small detail in the interior of the car which I did not do, this was not listed in the car defects sheet. In the end they didnt charge me for it, but it is worth to make a video inside and outside as well.

Cons: They never pick up their phone, and their emergency number was from another company. If something were to happen we would have no support

Pros: Pickup agent was great, very helpful and clear in his communication even though I did not speak German

Cons: Dropoff was very confusing, just and employ parking garage without even a sign to explain what renters should do. I had to ask another rep where to go and how to return my car.

Pros: All was good. The car was new, clean and convenient for our trip.

Pros: The agent took sometime to process the paperworks.

Cons: Because of the time processed of the car plus walking to the car and navigating the system it took us over 10min which the complimentary ticket is only good for 10min and we have to pay to exit.

Pros: Nothing. They weren't nice. zero customer service.

Cons: They didn't provide the car. They didn't try to help, just said they wouldn't provide it without a paper international driving license and didn't agree to accept the digital international driving license like any other company around. They left us without a car late Friday night, with 3 little kids, without any solution.

Cons: Ididnt liked it when i went at the desk to recieve the car that because the pos of the company has a problem the employ said that i did'nt know my pin

Pros: At the reception desk, the staff were very helpful with a professional attitude, apart from that we were given a free upgrade.

Pros: nothing

Cons: They didn't give me a car

Cons: We pre-paid an insurance and then we had to paid for another one in the desk to pick up the car. We reserved a child seat but whe we arrive at the airport there aren't any one available. The agent didn't offer us any option to have a child seat for our daughter.

Cons: customer service, car condition

Cons: The pickup was at 4:30, but we didn't know that the Office closed at 4:30. We arrived late and we found it closed and nobody called us and we couldn't calle anybody. So we lose the advanced money and we didn't get a car. We found employee from the agency leaving the place but he didn't want to help us because we were late.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: My prepayment was stolen by Discovery cars or Megadrive

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff!

Cons: On return, unlike other providers they did not inspect the car in my presence. Although there are no additional charges added, I had a doubt if they would.

Pros: Not much

Cons: Only open till 16:30. What if my flight was late?

Pros: being prompt

Cons: no representative to hand the car physically, couldn't operate the navigator and had to ask for help from other companies representative who did attend. Lucky for me they were helpful

Pros: value and convenience

Pros: Excellent value

Cons: Pushed an upgraded vehicle I didn’t want. Interior could have been cleaner , drink residue in centre console

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

Pros: The time spent at the rental desk was a little bit long. Also, only by chance, I was given the instructions of how to use the car, but finally this matter came to a proper end.

Cons: Prompt and professional.

Pros: Give my money back

Cons: Give my money

Cons: The car that we booked online wasn’t available and they offered us to either upgrade to another or take the one that is left. We forgot something in the car and called them on the next day to get it, but they claimed they couldn’t find it. So in sum you can say that you CANT rely on them, other car rental companies are more forthcoming.

Cons: they charged me for airport fee and taxes when it should have been included in the pric

Cons: We ordered 7 places automatic car but the carwas only 2 6 places (2+2 from behind!!!) So we had to replace to manual 5 places SUV.

Cons: the sales person explained almost all the T&Cs of the rental contract, but chose to omit the hidden costs (handling fee of damages). He had asked us to take up the Full insurance stating that we will pay zero dollar in the event of any car scratches of damage, but we ended up paying the handling fees, i felt that he had omit that clause on purpose so as to persuade us to take up the extra insurance. felt cheated in some ways. i’ll condemn megadrive and not recommend this company

Cons: I did not get the car I booked and had to pay for an upgrade.

Pros: It went very quickly. Everything was printed out. No questions .

Pros: The car was great. The checkout was quick

Cons: Nothing I recall

Pros: Mega drive provided us with a car smaller then we asked, the representitive didnt come to check with us that the car was ok. Now they want to charge 800 euro for a scrach they claim we did and was there allready when we took the car

Cons: Mega drive provided us with a car smaller then we asked, the representitive didnt come to check with us that the car was ok. Now they want to charge 800 euro for a scrach they claim we did and was there allready when we took the car

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Poor service, waiting too long to receive the car, the car was not full and when I returned the car with the same fuel level, they charged me to refuel !!! definitely I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. Bad customer service

Pros: easy to book

Cons: what i said above. It could have been a horrific travel if we would have had a crash.... those chairs were everything but not safe!!! plus the baby was crying all the time as the strings were pressuring her neck really badly

Pros: Good price

Cons: Too much upsale at the counter.

Pros: They were rude to be honest

Cons: They were very rude

Cons: Drop of out of Business Hours is a Long way to walk. But to be fair, it's the same for all car rental agencies

Pros: Car cleanliness

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good prices and all worked smoothly. Prompt return of deposit

Cons: 800 euro excess in an attempt to sell extra insurance.

Cons: The agents at the pick up counter were very unfriendly and let me wait for an hour. Very inconvenient, because I came from an overseas flight

Pros: Nothing!

Cons: Scam company! I never have business with Mega Drive. 1- Car was delivered dirty with trash inside. 2- The paperwork took 30minutes for pick up despite advance reservation 3- Charge damages to the car while there was literally no single spot on the car. SCAM COMPANY. I wish I could open a legal case for this scam company 4- charged for refueling gas. I filled out the tank in 0.5 mile of the airport with the credit card slip available. They charged me for refueling service and the gas!!!

Pros: Pick up time is short, polite agents

Cons: The car had low pressure in all tires. It should have been checked before giving the car to us. We discovered it only after driving 300+ km on low pressure tires. Some other glitches with the car also happened.

Pros: Efficient and friendly

Pros: The guys in Innsbruck were helpful. Guys in Vienna were very unreliable and told us to use the wrong fuel, resulting in many complications which they then tried to charge us for.

Cons: I would never book with MegaDrive or Buchbinder ever again, they charge you more when you show up so Sixt or other services are far better. Very incompetent workers in Vienna, they don't know a thing about the cars they give you and try to take any cent from you that they can.
