Pick-up instructions
NU Car Rentals Meet and Greet service in Cancun is provided if flight details are received at the time of booking. You will be met by a NU Car Rental agent bearing a sign with your name. If flight info was not received or you need assistance please call 998 882 29 25. Information offered by other agents is not reliable. For your Arrival Terminal - Terminal 3 - after exiting Customs continue down the hall past rental counters time shares taxis etc to exit the Terminal Bldg. To the right is the Shuttle area in front of the Margarita Ville Bar. You will see the sign for the Shuttle stop and our NU Car rep or NU Car Shuttle in this area - or call for pick up. Do not exit this area as it is the only are for rental pick up. Terminal 2 - National - follow the hall passing the rental counters time shares taxis etc. Exit the room at the end of the hall turning toward the Transportation area. Continue right to Platform 65 in front of the Coconut Bar. You will see the NU Car rep or NU Car Shuttle - or call for pick up. Do not exit this area as it is the only area for shuttle pick up. Terminal 2 - International flights - after exiting customs enter the Hall and pass the rental counters time share taxis etc to exit the Terminal then pass the ramp. In front of the Wrap and Go restaurant you will see transportation rows 1-5 and find our NU rep or NU shuttle or call for pick up. Pick up is also allowed in the corner in front of the Welcome Bar. Do not exit this area as this is the only area shuttle pick up is allowed. Vehicles are held up to two hours during business hours after arrival time on your reservation.

Cons: Rental was through Infinity not NUCAR. Trying to upsell insurance. Talking over us when were looking for clarification. No registration plates attached to vehicle and no proof of registration documents in vehicle. Arrogant approach by agent - badmouthing Discover cars.

Pros: The car was in good condition.

Cons: Was charge extra for SLI insurance which increase my bill by 150$ I was not shown this on the website when I got the rental that I would have to purchase extra insurance.

Pros: They were professional and polite and knew what they were doing when they saw the voucher from discovery cars.

Cons: A little cramped at the rental counter and took some time to get to me as other renters were not able to get through their transactions quickly.

Cons: Everything. They weren't at the airport as they said, took forever to even contact them, and they didn't have the car we needed. Worst experience ever.

Pros: Not even the company name. Get your facts right. It was Infinity Cars in the end who was the provider. The car was clean and they didn't harass me on returning it or finding extra fees

Cons: REFUSED to help me get in contact with the rental company. NOT EVEN THE RIGHT COMPANY. Did not have a proper phone number for them. The STAFF upon checking in were HORRIBLE and harassed me NUMEROUS times about threatening insurance on me or that I'd likely get it stolen and a woman like me couldn't handle the cost of the total car. They were HORRIBLE. The car was beyond basic, didn't even have power windows or cruise control. It made a lot of noise. But, it worked.

Pros: Not a lot. The people at the place were friendly on pickup (not so much on dropoff). Once the car was switched out it did work as it should so there’s that.

Cons: the car they gave us had a bad battery and trying to get a new rental took way longer than the hour they quoted (once they finally even answered). Getting in touch with them to get a shuttle from the airport was really difficult AND they aren’t located in the airport itself as it shows on discover cars. Two days of my trip I wasn’t able to do the things we wanted because of the issues with the rental car.

Pros: What’sapp contact with the company was good prior to collection

Cons: The car wasn’t very clean inside and smelled musty, the wheels on the car seemed really small for the car itself. My credit card was refused for no reason, and I had to pay €400 approx extra to use my debit card. I phoned my bank while I was there and there was no problem with my credit card it had more than enough funds to cover the deposit The representative wasn’t helpful. We had to wait 30 mins to be dropped back to the airport when we returned the car

Pros: They spoke English well. It was easy to communicate.

Cons: Gave me a different car entirely. I would always go with reputed car brands and I was offered a Chinese brand called Changan. Even though I had full insurnace coverage, they said that tires are not included in it. I had to buy a new tire myself after it was damaged by falling in a pothole!

Cons: The first car we received needed oil change and regular maintenance, but we immediately got another car after we returned the first one.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Maybe you need to update terms and conditions with car companies - we thought we had all of the insurance etc covered and we get there and they said we needed theft insurance, when I told him we did not he said fine but we would have to pay a 7000 deposit instead of a 1000 deposit. Ended up paying an additional $160 - And it took Nu over an hour and a half to get us to our car.

Pros: The car was ok

Cons: Very complicated to get there, the office is like 20 min drive fron the airport. IT took a very long time to get the car and then they alko tried to scam me for returning less fuel even though I had more than when I took the car. Do yourself a favor and get a car from a regular company in the car rental center.

Cons: They are a fraudulent rental car agency who a) did not show up for pick up after confirmation of waiting to pick up due to late flight arrival b) not honoring their own message of agreeing to a next day pick up after we landed c) being rude to customers over communication when reimbursement was asked.

Pros: The price.

Cons: They let us wait for 3 hours at the airport. After 4 phone calls (€ 1,20 per minute, so about € 35 total) (they told us we had to wait 10 minutes every time) we got finally picked up.

Pros: They honored the price we originally booked for, and didn't try to push anything else. Agents were very friendly. Spoke English well and communicated well.

Cons: Shuttle took a while to come to the airport but that's expected especially if not able to communicate if there's a delay etc.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 940.00 - € 4225.00), Airport surcharge, Third Party Liability, Public Liability Insurance (PLI), VAT (value added tax).
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): Canada, USA, EU. A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Cross-border policy
Crossing country/state borders is not allowed.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
