Cons: I reserved for 250$ but they scammed me and charged a total of 900$. Complete waste of money and extortion. I'm a presidential circle member and I love using hertz in USA but never going through hertz in Mexico.
Pros: Customer service. Relative ease of pick up and dropoff. Nice car.

Cons: The process. Wow it was long and extensive to get one and to drop it off. I purchased insurance at the time of renting only to find out that it didnt cover anything in mexico. That sucked. I also felt mislead a few times at the hertz rental place. they sent me to a lady who acted as a Hertz representative only to realized she was a tourist promoter. It was extremely deceiving.
Pros: Pick up was easy. I appreciated that the representative spoke quite a bit of english.
Cons: Drop off was challenging. There weren't enough representatives and they couldn't keep track of which cars arrived in which order. It was more chaotic than I expected.

Cons: I wouldn't rent front Hertz at Cancun Airport. The representatives insisted we had to buy Mexico insurance even though we had CDW through our Cc. Our car price went up from 244 to 529 USD. They didn't even take the Discover Cars 50USD into account. My cousin was able to rent from another rental company for 120 USD only and she had her car for 5 days and the same CDW that we had.
Cons: False advertising. Prices listed online were half of what it cost to eventually get the car. Discover cars also did not deliver on its service.

Cons: I was warned and warned but didn't listen. The Hertz representative at the desk refused to give me the car without buying unnecessary insurance, despite my repeated refusal and offer to leave a deposit (I had Third Party insurance from Discover). Both my girlfriend and I are lawyers, we asked for proof that we needed this alleged additional insurance. After 45 minutes I said I will pay another $70 just to get out of here (down from the $230 he wanted). That was enough. Scam.

Pros: Hertz sent me to thirty who then forced me to pay double by the time you added the minimal insurance. I returned it after one day and went right next door to Europcar who got me in the same exact car with full coverage insurance for the original price I booked with discover cars
Cons: The experience with Hertz was HORRIBLE! The line to get the car was incredibly long. They didn't have the category of car I reserved so they gave me a larger car and made me return it the next day to get another car. They said I could go to a Hertz closer to where I was staying between 12 and 4pm. I went twice and they didn't have a car to switch out. So I had to go to the Hertz back at the airport where they said they didn't have a car to switch out. It was a disaster!

Pros: Provided that car that we reserved. Clean car.
Cons: Took over 1hour to pick up the car. Told that: 1) the car we reserved was not avail and offered a free upgrade, 2) the ins we paid was not valid or applicable. We would need to pay for added coverage $26/day, 3) I wouldn't accept the added coverage, said I have to provide a USD$3000 deposit. After declining the additional coverage, they provided the exact car that I reserved (it was not sold out), deposit $350. If I paid the added coverage, would have I got the "free" upgrade?
Cons: this experience was such a disaster that i would recommend you take Hertz off your website - at least in Cancun if not everywhere. We waited in total almost 20 full hours for our car and every step if was painstakingly difficult. Plus they did not want to make good on most of the contract - we had to fight for every thing that was printed in it from price to car type to insurance to deposit. it was insane.

Cons: We arrived and had to wait for in a queue for 45 minutes so that someone would tell us they didn't have a car for us. We were told to go to a rental location in the city the next day and that a car would be ready then but they again didn't have a car. We had to pay ourselves for the taxi to go back to the airport where the joke continued. No car available. We had to negotiate with them for 1h in order to get a car and it was the smallest they had, a Nissan March instead of a SUV for 5 people.

Cons: Bad service, tought agent. The prepaid car was not available when I arrived. They argued that I was one hour late (it was true) and that it is like a flight, if you are not on time, it leaves. I insisted that it is like a prepaid hotel room, you have even if you are late. I felt powerless and helpless. I kept on insisted that I needed a car and that I had already paid for it. After two hours they gave me a car.
Cons: The manipulated me into additional charges by providing untrue information and provided a car in a much lower standard promising to change it the next day but then refusing at 3 attempts

Cons: - Agent tried to sell additional insurance by obviously not telling the truth ("this additional insurance is required by law in Mexico and it is my responsibility if I don't buy the additional coverage). - the car which was offered online (Jeep Patriot) was not available (Hertz Cancun don't even have this car anymore for rent since 2 years - a much cheaper car was rented in the end.
