Italy Car Rent at Bologna Airport

Cons: They gave me a car with 30 previous damages and told me, to make pictures before I leave the parking. Now, am I supposed to check all 30 damages in the night dark?

Pros: Wanted to charge their own insurance while I had one with "Discover Cars"

Cons: Towing not covered.

Cons: There was no windshield washing fluid

Pros: The car was good, in clean conditions, no problems at pick up or drop off.

Cons: I have specifically selected "pick up in the terminal" , because I have a child with disability and traveling with her is a big difficulty. However, when I came to the pick up counter, there was a note "Please, go to the parking lot" so, we had to walk a long distance.

Pros: They didnt really want to help us

Pros: The original booking was cancelled due to a late arrival, but the helpdesk from discorecar was fantastic in finding a perfect solution in few minutes

Cons: The original booking with icaro was avry bad experience as they were not hwlpful to find an alternativw solution adter only 30 min delay while the call center from discovwr car was fantastic

Cons: Awful - picked the car up in a dark garage and then was charged €350 for ‘damage’ - very small localised minor scratch and a mark on rear bumper plastic trim below vehicle. Hugely unlikely damage of this nature would be picked up when collecting car. Thieves.

Cons: there was a big queue to pick up cars, we waited almost one hour to get ours. all providers were busy in Bologna Airport at that time.

Cons: Very good, car had more damage than I’d like at pickup, it made it feel like I had to check 10 times, but the assistance from the people at the hut was awesome.

Cons: The rental was for a VW T-ROC, they gave me a car from an inferior category: Seat Arona. I explained Arona may be compatible to T-Cross... The girl at the counter showed nothing of empathy and was almost scolding me for not accepting the lie. After noticing I wasn't getting what was promised took the papers and went to get the car. Waited 15min for someone to arrive; then the Arona had the infotainment broken, no Android auto. Italy Car Rental never again.

Cons: the question to take an extra insurance, to directly refund small cost, instead of that 900 euro was locked in my mastercard - but after all everything went fine

Cons: It is a scam where they dont register all damages from people that paid the companies own insurance and don't fix it, and then when there is someone having a car insurance on their own they lay all costs from any damage from previous renters on you and then they dont fix it. If you then try to complain with their customer service they magically find even more damage and take more money from you. STAY AWAY

Pros: Good value for money, very easy to book, polite & kind representative at the deak when collecting and returning the car.

Cons: I was in Italy under difficult circumstances and asked if needed could I keep the car longer. I was told no proem and olive would be similar to what I had paid. When I contacted a week later to re book the car I was given a quote 4 x the initial price. I refused, meaning I had to drive back to the airport at a very difficult time and rent a different car from another company. It would have been nice to have some compassion in such difficult circumstances.

Pros: Got a car full of damages and told to “inspect” it. After wasting 1/2 an hour checking the car the car rental employee added many more damages that was not on the report. We are travelling a lot and never experienced something like that. Will definitely need to stay away from this company.

Cons: Car was not clean on the outside when we picked it up, dusty and not polished. Very juicy, consuming petrol a lot. When picking up guy who checked the car scammed us for a bumper scratch. We had made video of the car on pick up but we wouldn’t think to put camera under the car where you had to lean to see scratch - mistake we will not make ever again. They knew is there and they charged us €175 euro for a singular 10cm hardly visible scratch not made by our driving.

Cons: The pickup was bad. 1 hour and something with redoing papers twice as they messed up keys.

Cons: The pick up was a disaster. We had to wait for an hour before we could get the car - had to provide all the information we had already send once again and when we finally got the keys - they had to us to look for it ourselves. Why don’t use lockers with keys. QR codes and off you go?

Pros: Good service. Price and the type of the car was the same I ordered.

Cons: I rented Fiat 500x and after 100km I got a message to change an oil and make a service which was a little annoying. The braking pads also should be replaced and generated a noise when breaking.

Cons: After arriving we realized that our car (automatic) was not available, although they provided us with higher class car immedietaly, it was manual, which was not so convenient.

Cons: I was given a car with lots of damage which was not the car I asked for. There was so much damage on the car that checking the condition in a dark car park took far too long. Upon return, money was taken from my deposit for damage which was there when I picked up the car. Also, there is clearly no desire from Italy Car Rent to repair the car, as they were happy to give a damaged car to me as a customer. I am concerned this practice is deliberate in the hope a customer misses the damage.
