Guerin at Ponta Delgada Airport

Pros: Very good service all around.

Cons: to be honest it's the vehicle I did not enjoy most... Very large car, Jeep, but limited space inside and the boot. Hybrid Battery not very efficient.

Pros: They were very friendly. The car was in great shape. It was easy to pick up and drop off - even when we requested to drop off after hours, they were happy to help.

Pros: Friendly efficient staff, quick and easy pick up of the vehicle, everything was well organized and explained.

Cons: The vehicle was not very clean and there was damage to virtually every external part of the body and wheels. This was pointed out and acknowledged by the friendly staff prior to signing off. The vehicle had 73,000+ kms however it ran fine and was reliable.

Pros: Guerin had great help in the airport at the kiosk, and the attendant at the lot was helpful.

Cons: This may just be a Azures thing, but they really scrutinize the cars after return. The car we rented had a lot of scratches and dents at the time of pickup, and they questioned some scratch on the hubcap (one of many) upon return. They should have their own clear photos of their own cars at every rental if they want to question everything and not make it the customers responsibility to convince them. I didnt have to pay extra luckily because my wife had a picture of the hubcap.

Cons: A bit expensive (when compared with Menorca and Maiorca, where I rented a similar car for 40% less money), and the hassle of having to travel to the main office to put AdBlue in the gasoil reservoir on the second rental day

Pros: Personnel were very friendly and efficient.

Cons: Guerin has a bad reputation for finding small things wrong when returning the car. In this case, there was about a 3cm scratch on one of the tire rims. I had taken a video of the car when I left the lot, so it did happen during my rental, but the scratch was small and minor. However, they decided to charge me 127 euros. Luckily (and because of Guerin's reputation), I had booked additional car hire excess insurance which will take care of it, but this just reinforces Guerin's reputation.

Pros: When the “check engine” light went on we drove to the airport immediately and the agent switched us out for a new car and we were in our way in only a few minutes.

Pros: Extremely happy with the service provided by Guerin. Everything was so easy and effortless, from picking up the car from the airport and the extremely efficient car return. I was a bit worried I would have to pay extra fee for early return as my flight was at 4am, only to find out i could just return the car on my own and drop the keys at the rental desk. I was also given a beautiful new Mercedes benz that is extremely clean and in a perfect condition. Overall couldn't ask for a better service.

The GPS was not up to date and we were in need of Wi Fi several times while driving around the island! PLEASE CONSIDER OFFERING WiFi for your rental cars!
