Pros: Nothing they didn't give me a car
Cons: Goldcar refused to give me the car because I didn't have a national ID, I had my passport because two weeks before my wallet was lost, according to Goldcar my passport was not a valid ID, it would have been only for foreign tourist. They refused to give me my booked car and I had to go to an other provider spending 300 euros more than expected. They were looking for the slightest excuse to cancel my booking, all the other car rentals had no issues whatsoever when I presented my passport

Pros: Car was fully featured. Fairly quick. Check-in good and very quick drop off.
Cons: The baby car seat was terrible. They initially gave us a car seat that required a base but fail to give us the base so would not fit. Then the only alternative that they had was very flimsy and insecure so our baby was very uncomfortable and cried every time we put her in it. We were also anxious to make many journeys in the car due to the safety of the seat but we had no choice as that is all Goldcar had.
Pros: Outside car was very clean
Cons: The seats however had stains from sweat....this is not making a good impression even if you are renting a car in South of Italy where naturally is quite hot.
Pros: Dear Sir/Madam, l am writing this email to inform you that on the 12/9/23 till 15/09/23, I rented a Fiat 500 car for our stay in Bari, Italy. The contract number is 23950440 and it was rented on my name Anteo Camilleri. Now on the 13/09/23, I had 2 tyre punctures whilst I was driving as the road had a lot of bumps. I tried to call for assistance but they did not answer me (+39 0645209634 & +39 0266165371).
Cons: Therefore, I wanted to get the 2 punctures fixed straight away since it was getting late. So, I went to a shop near me called 'Morea Pneumatic' to fix the punctures and it cost me €190. Today 15/09/2023, I took the car back to the Goldcar offices near Bari Airport and the worker Franco from Goldcar told me that now, I can get the €190 refund back because I was fully insured with you. I would greatly appreciate if you could reply back to me in order to resolve this issue. Thanks and Regards,

Rental Conditions
Please check the Rental Conditions for each vehicle prior to booking as some conditions, particularly the deposit and deductible, may vary based on the class of vehicle.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A novice driver fee will apply to drivers who have held their driver license for less than 4 years.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): EU countries.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In order to pick up the car, domestic renters must present the following documents: valid driver license, ID card, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, Italian fiscal code card.
Residents of the following country(ies): EU are required to present the following document(s): credit card, valid driver license, ID card, booking voucher in order to pick up the car.
Residents of the following country(ies): non-EU are required to present the following document(s): passport, credit card, valid driver license, booking voucher, International Driving Permit (IDP) in order to pick up the car.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon collecting the vehicle.
If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Croatia, France, Slovenia, Switzerland.
Crossing the border is not allowed if the vehicle was picked up in Sardinia, Sicily, Apulia, Calabria. Information on the exact fee amount is available by request. In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
Optional extras are subject to the following additional charge(s): Premium Location surcharge, Airport Surcharge.
Delivery/collection service is not provided.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
Diesel vehicles are available only by request upon arrival. Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
