Ecovia at Bari Airport

Pros: Once we’d checked in, cat pick up and drop off was rapid. Best price- liked the MG self charging hybrid model- great acceleration on those short Italian slip roads!!

Cons: 45 minutes queue in Bari to do the paperwork. Can this be made more efficient, especially when we completed ‘check in’ online?

Pros: Nothing. There is nothing i liked.

Cons: Different car, different money back. They told me it is a new car without any damage, it turned out it is about 450km inside and the front bumper is damaged.

Pros: The car pickup went without a problem. The car was ready and clean. Returning the car and getting the deposit back was quick.

Cons: I ordered a child booster three days before picking up the car. It was my mistake,I forgot it, but I received confirmation that the change had been accepted immediately so I assume everything was taken care of. However, when we arrived, the clerk told me that no booster seat were available. That came as a very unpleasant surprise. The clerk did not deal with the issue any further.

Cons: Had to wait an hour for my turn at the desk. They don’t have enough capability for the bookings. They didn’t have the car I booked. Was allocated another vehicle, but when I got to the car park 10 minutes later they changed it again to a very dented only MG. I asked for an alternative but nothing available. Everyone else was also getting swapped to a different vehicle. The whole system was lies and receipt.

Pros: They were courteous, and unlike Discover Cars said that they had cancelled my booking and would not charge.

Cons: I don't like it at all... that despite paying for full coverage insurance (32€) through discorcars.com, at the Ecocars (Ecovia) desk, I had to pay again (180€ for full coverage insurance)!!! The excuse was that the insurance was not done through us, it was done through Discovercarsr.com and it's not worth it!!!

Pros: I give them 5 stars for their pricing. Best deal we found from all the car rental companies.

Cons: We had to wait 2 and half hours to pick up our car. The line was long and it seemed that most of the people picking up cars were unprepared for the documentation required to rent a car. Perhaps you could do a better job providing a tutorial online for people to review so they are prepared when they get their turn at the window.

Cons: we were informed by email that the car had 2 scratched rims 1 hour after delivery! Completely false, I have a video of the car when I picked it up in Bari, they were scratched when I picked it up (along with other scratches) I paid 37 euros per day for additional insurance, I wonder if they won't repair the car based on my insurance (most likely the answer is yes)

Initially, they refused to accept my card without a PIN for the deposit. However, once I agreed to purchase their full insurance, suddenly they were able to accept the deposit without the PIN. Cons: The person I dealt with was dismissive of my concerns re the condition of the car at pickup. There were several marks/scratches/dents on the car yet there were only two shown on the documentation. All of these should have been on the documentation at pickup. When I stated this to the representative, my concerns were dismissed. I was told take pictures/videos of the damage. This is wrong, the onus of highlighting the damage should not be on the customer.

Cons: When picking up the car the clerk was really friendly - although due to plane arrival delay we could only pick up the car slightly after the end of opening hours but for an extra fee we could manage it and the clerk was absolutely helpful. What was more worrisome was that when returning the car we had to wait approximately 40-45 minutes - there was only one clerk available. This can really be frustrating since customers arrive at the airport for a given time to check-in and catch their plane.

Cons: 1. No opportunity to inspect car before signing (existing damage) agreement. Car was some 200mts away. 2. Original hard copy contract and emailed copy did not include the second driver. I had to chase for the amendment but didn't get it for over 24 hours, so second driver could NOT drive on first day. 3. Return process straight forward but I do not have the promised 'returned in good order with full tank' confirmation more than 24 hrs later and am having to chase as well as release of CC block

Cons: Pick up & drop off procedures exceptionally poor & unprofessional. These guys need better training & customer service skills. Also, working at intl airport, would be useful to be bi-lingual. We had 4+ languages between us, but very little Italian. Even using google translate, he refused to answer our basic questions; which is our car, please show us where to exit airport, etc. Just plain rude & lazy.

Pros: Nothing as we waited nearly 2.5hours in line to even get served to be finally given keys to a filthy car inside and out. The staff at the car pickup area did not explain how anything worked and most maps of the Puglia region were not installed on the GPS so we had to use our own phones. Very disappointing.

Cons: First of all, I had a reservation for 172 euros as the credit card was in my wife’s name , it was not , we finally paid 409 euros, which did not correspond to the reservation . Moreover in the first contract my wife was informed as second free driver and there I had to pay a supplement in the new contract. I call this manifest theft.

Another lady at the car rental office next to her, helped me to find a company /car which accepted the deposit with my card

Cons: When we arrived at Bari airport we found that the car we had booked was not available for us to hire and they had no other vehicles available. Our flight had been delayed by three hours but the telephone number they gave us to notify the company had a message in Italian and we therefore had no means of confirming the delay. We ended up having to hire a car from Hertz at considerably more money as it was last minute.

Cons: the time to pick up due to their systems. the poor employees needs to fill so many form, make copies of IDs and so on.. But that's Italy, unfortunately. In Spain it takes 3 minutes to pick up a car :-)
