Automania at Bari Airport

Pros: there was no line and it was very easy to check in

Pros: I liked the car, it was perfect for our group.

Cons: I didn t like that at the drop off, no one was at the reception altough it was during bussiness hours. Ee had to wait 20 minutes and call them twice to come.

Pros: Personal service of Francecsco

Pros: Cheap, reliable, straight forward.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Quick and easy no BS

Cons: Nothing

Pros: RAPIDITATEA CAND AM PREDAT MASINA

Pros: Everything went smoothly from start to finish. We had a Renault Twingo, which was small but perfect for the narrow streets in Italy. Returning the car was quick and hassle-free.

Pros: Friendly staff and easy process.

Cons: We waited about 15 minutes to drop off the car and car could be cleaner.

Pros: The only thing we had a problem was with the drop off was because we were dropping it off at 4 AM. We had to pay an extra 122euros

Pros: Very friendly staff

Pros: People were friendly. Speedy dropoff.

Cons: Not taking a digital credit card without charging a large fee. This was due to discovercars.com.

Pros: Car was nice’ish

Cons: The attitude of the office staff

Pros: Friendly agent at the pickup counter. The car was ready and waiting.

Cons: Sales pitch to buy extra insurance even though I had already prepaid for full coverage.

Pros: Everything works perfect

Cons: Nothing to declare

Pros: The car was great, as were the staff handling the shuttle and car return

Cons: Really, really hard sell on the additional excess insurance the likes of which I've not experienced for years and I thought was no longer allowed. I have a separate annual excess policy with Cover4rentals (who are great BTW) which I was told with confidence would not cover things like damage to the car when I was not in it (ie when parked) when this is exactly what C4R did cover when it happened to me last year in Corsica. Actual car was great but the hard sell not so.

Pros: The professional approach and services.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Great service! I recommend Automania! We rent 2 cars Fiat Panda and we don't have any troubles across Puglia.

Pros: Location easy to get to, reasonable price. Courtesy bus driver and some of the staff excellent.

Cons: Hard sell to try to get us to take out additional insurance which we didn’t need as we had taken out excess insurance for the hire in the UK. She tried to say we weren’t covered if someone else damaged our car. She also tried to say that Discover Cars Insurance no good either and wante to charge an extra 180 euros. Maybe there was a language barrier but we stood our ground and didn’t take it out. Also car not as described, we booked air con but all it had was the basic fan so we were roasted!

Pros: Friendly assistant

Cons: Long wait for shuttle bus to airport

Pros: Problem with bank card credit / debit

Cons: The long time for pick up and drop off service

Pros: Car was new and clean.

Cons: I did not receive the car I ordered, we waited very long at the airport to be picked up, the full insurance cost is extremely high 200 euros for one week. This is the highest insurance rate I ever saw. Also the deposit is quite high 700 euros compared to other car rental companies.

Cons: The pickup process was rushed and I was not allowed to check the car for damages before signing the related documents.

Cons: Everything about this service was bad. We waited so much for the car to take us and when we returned the car they charged us more than they told us.

Pros: I got a 2023 car.

Cons: The car didn't have one side of it that hasn't been damaged, all the wheels curbed. I don't understand how they can check it for additional damage when returned when it is already so beaten up.

Pros: Car clean and pretty new. Good price.

Cons: No information about where to find the shuttle bus. Slow speed of pick up after arrival and the drop off to the airport after rental was finished.

Pros: I am very happy with this car rental company. They gave me a car with 18,000 km, a big plus was that the car is a hybrid and gave a very low consumption. The people are kind and direct you to the place where you can get their transfer van and after 5 minutes you are at the rental car base. When returning the car everything goes very quickly again and they take you to the airport. After about 2 hours I got my deposit back (this was the fastest deposit return ever).

Pros: We had no issues with the car, and both the pick-up and the return were easy. The agent that gave us the car the first day was very helpful.

Cons: When we brought the car back and after signing the return, the person we handed the keys to said he would take us to the airport in our car. During the five minutes it took to get there, he drove without a seatbelt, smelled of alcohol, and we almost had an accident. It’s a shame to end a trip like this.

Pros: Quick delivery and collection of the vehicle. Efficient transport to and from the airport. Friendly service. The car is in good working order. Detailed description of the damage.

Cons: Worn-out wipers and no fluid.

Cons: I had to pay 30 EUR additional cost for each day of rental (totally 150 EUR extra charge !!!) just because I payed with debit card and not credit card. It is insane. However I fully covered the car with insurance and for this reason they did not asked for 700 EUR caution.

Pros: The booking process was straightforward, and the car was ready on time when we arrived. The staff at Automania were friendly, professional, and efficient. Returning the car was just as easy.

Cons: The car itself wasn’t spotless and had a few scratches, but nothing that affected our experience. It ran perfectly and was just what we needed.

Pros: It was easy to pick-up, very helpfull agents.

Pros: Good prize for good value

Pros: Very efficient and had a good insurance cover.

Pros: Speed and professionalism

Pros: Staff cordiale, professionale, trasparente e gentile.

Pros: STAFF HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL

Cons: the tires were really worn

Pros: Morena was so helpful with instructions to download Easy Park app, where we can and cannot drive ZTL, and friendly. Actually the whole team was professional, positive attitude, and helpful. Car was brand new and drove perfectly. Very clear on car insurance which most American Credit Cards will not cover rentals in Italy. Super easy return as well.

Pros: Really quick drop off. No hassle.

Cons: Car rental paperwork takes a long time ( always in Italy!)

Pros: All good! Thank you.

Pros: We was asked to take the extra cover out but we declined as we had already bought it when we booked on line

Cons: The car delivered 45 minutes later of 5he time we agreed.

Pros: Got the car fast, returned it very fast, also. 1 day unblocking the bank deposit. That was a record for me ! That is a 10 points !

Cons: Arrived at 8. They said that I was due for 10, but they had the car in place (that was right, about the hour). Bad part- someone came for us after 4 calls, at 10:45 (a 3 minutes drive distance !).

Pros: very efficient and pleasant to deal with

Cons: nothing

Pros: Great deal on the Fiat500. Agets were helpful and honest.

Pros: See above

Cons: They have accused us of damage that was pre existing.

Cons: I had ordered a vw golf, but I received some kind of Chinese scumbag. the vehicle had about 22,000 miles on it, but everything was creaking and there were short belts in the back. because I needed to fasten the child's car seat...it was not possible. I was also forced to pay for insurance that I did not want. however, I needed a car. In any case, I have to admit that the car was enough. but I'd rather look for another rental company next time and recommend it to others.

Pros: Friendly and fast service with a smile. You feel at ease.

Cons: I was forced to buy additional insurance. I can't stand it when I get cheated with insurance. Also I was booked Volkswagen Golf but received something chinese. A dishonest company. I will tell everyone I know and leave comments on the Internet where I can avoid using your services.

Pros: New car, fast checks, easy pick up and drop off.

Cons: The staff insists on selling additional insurance even when we have bought full coverage. She gives worrying examples of huge costs if car breaks down or damaged if we don't buy their insurance.

Cons: Tried to scare me into buying the premier insurance

Pros: Friendly staff, fast service.

Cons: n.a.

Pros: I found the rental company through discoverycars.com. The booking went smoothly. I recommend not insuring your car through an intermediary - search only on-site at Automania - this way you avoid a deposit and will not be charged with any additional costs in the event of a collision, scratches, etc. A bus picked me up on site, at the roundabout to the left of the exit from the arrivals hall in Bari. In 2 minutes we were at the office, the car was already waiting (the same with taking us to the ai

Pros: To be honest I can't comment due to the initial hiccup with delayed flight and my booking being cancelled. Fortunately Automania were able to offer us a replacement. At a cost to me obviously. So having booked through discovery cars and paid a deposit, plus insurance cover. I then had to pay another £368. Not the start you need to your holiday.

Cons: The above

Pros: They were friendly and very helpful

Cons: They did not accept the insurance cover I took out with Discover cars.

Pros: good value

Cons: wheel low pressure light was on when recieved the car. seems wheel pumps are not a thing ar many gas stations in Italy…

Pros: A really fast and friendly return of the car and transfer to airport.

Cons: Most importantly - Automania claimed the All Risks Insurance we bought does not fully cover all risks. They insisted we may pay adfitionally up to EUR2600 if not accept their 'full cover offer'. The agent was pushing a lot to accept it. We declined, but the other clients were scary enough to take it. The second thing was the car - we paid some more to get VW Golf (or equivalent), but we got a poor chinese something named DR 3.0 - a class nowhere near VW Golf. In overall, I will never use them.

Pros: nothing

Cons: hhard to contact. slow pick up at airport as we waited in sun. Very hard sell on full insurance at a rip off price

Pros: They were very friendly and responsive, answering my questions and providing all the extra fees they chat for everything

Cons: They don’t have a decent pickup spot at the airport, lots of misinformation and their working hours are terrible.

Pros: The car was brand new and perfect condition. We loved it!

Cons: The frond desk officer stressed us a lot about what we might pay if something happens to the car - encouraging us to buy their full insurance. Finally we were stressed all the time something not to happen to the car which was really not nice

Pros: Nothing special

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The pick-up/drop off was relatively painless and they did collect us from and drop us back to the airport which was appreciated.

Cons: I felty we were being mislead about the condition of the car. It wasn't brand new, it had 48,000km on it and there were multiple marks plus the defective wing mirror. Also, no water in the windscreen washer reservoir which is a very basic requirement.

Cons: Extremely hard sell on insurance that was more expensive than rental.

Cons: Long time waiting at the airport for shuttle to the office. Insurance offers which seems not very serious to me.

Pros: They give me brand new car. I was very happy with this.

Cons: they hard want to sell my their insurance, for more money. They told me that Discover car not covered parking scratches on the car if somebody scratch the car

Pros: When i droped off the car, everything was too easy and quick. The staff did they job perfect

Cons: When i picked up the car, the agent at the desk almost immediatly started to explane that i have to make a additional insurance, otherwise i wiil not be sure that everything will be ok.

Pros: Smooth - in and out very quickly and very helpful!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: everything

Cons: there were no problems

Pros: efficient and explained the costs if there was any damage caused to the car.

Cons: Car was the worst I have ever hired. damage everywhere. No confidence with returning car as I expected to be showed damage that I didn't cause. I pointed out damage to the agent before I collected the car and this was not recorded. I had to show a video to the agent for him to believe I did not cause this damage

Pros: Top service. Recommended indeed

Cons: Car was not “new” so to speak. But did her job without any problem. Not an issue for me

Pros: nothing

Cons: Don't rent here, even if it's the cheapest! The worst service ever. they tried to sell me an insurance by lying to me, The minute I refuse to buy their insurance, the desk managers started treating me as shit. When I returned the car, they found a scratch that they say it wasn't there before, but it was impossible to prove so because the pictures they sent didn't include that part of the car. The price they charged for the damage was the same price they charged for the insurance... coincidence?

Pros: Very efficient in their service and staff were very friendly and accomodating

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Nice quick and easy although not so easy to find pick up at air port if you don't know the area, although staff very friendly and able to help over the phone.

Cons: Honestly nothing really of any negative opinion although it wasn't the car we reserved.

Pros: - spoke English, clear procedure

Cons: - rather insisting on extra insurance which wasn't needed because of indirect rental

Pros: Awful experience, I have contacted discover cars support service as now I no longer want to continue with a future booking with discover cars after our terrible experience with automania

Cons: Staff were aggressive to us, calling us names in Italian when we asked could the car be moved to a lighted area to inspect it. Car was not clean when we got, on returning the car they charged us a €15 cleaning fee and again staff were aggressive apart from one lovely gentleman.

Cons: The car was received extremely scratched up. Upon returning the car, I was told there was a “new” scratch on the side view mirror. We showed them the video we had taken when we received the car and explicitly showed them this “new” scratch. I was told they didn’t see this scratch on our videos and pictures and that it had to be new. Don’t book this company! They will try to nickel and dime you at every turn!

Pros: Nothing, rude and aggressive

Cons: None, worst service I’ve ever received, the lady working the desk was horrible

Pros: Price, communication with the agent.

Cons: Problem to find shuttle to pick us up from the airport. Too long time in the office for dropping the car.

Pros: good price

Cons: Poor service, the lady sked for all card details including CVC

Cons: Despite i have the most expensive discovercars insurance, We were strongly advised to make extra insurance... therefore, more around 150 euros. at the end of the process, even before the car returning process was not concluded, we were pressured to make, imediatly, a review of their services .
