Felirent at Bologna Airport

Pros: Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by an unexpected €244 “late pick-up” charge. The only positive was that the car was ready for collection. However, it had several visible hail dents on the roof and body panels, which reduced my confidence in the rental experience from the start.

Cons: Being charged €244 for “late pick-up” despite calling the office within what I understood was the grace period and immediately following their pick-up instructions. The booking process via Discover Cars never made providing a flight number compulsory, yet Felirent used its absence to justify the fee.

Pros: Good

Pros: Received an upgrade on the car, very spacious and exactly what was needed. Service was fast.

Cons: Had to pay for cleaning (first rental service that charged this) and was very difficult to get to the rental location in 40 degree heat with baggage and family.

Pros: Great services, very prompt, fast pick up, quick pick up & formalities

Cons: Aged car, lots of scratches and dents, uneven idle.

Cons: They considered a damage the normal usage of the car. They even could ask for tyres consumption next time

Pros: A very bad company. The car’s tire got punctured, and there was no spare tire in the car. And they didn’t help me at all. On top of that, they took a lot of my money without asking me. Honestly, it’s a fraudulent company.

Cons: That correct prices are not indicated! we ended up spending twice as much money to be allowed to pay as the car cost? The service on site was rude and completely cold. We were told straight away that if we didn't want to rent it, we could just take a train?! We had rented the car because we were going to the mountains! It was a very opaque experience and felt like peasant captivity.

Cons: The customer services very unprofessional and rude. Not helpful at all. They are not trained and not sure the awnser towards the customers.

Cons: The car advertised was a i20 but we got a c3 that had a smaller boot which caused issues with cases.

Cons: Shuttle service - we waited 30 min in pouring rain. Then 30 min to get the car. Car provided asked for oil service - and was replaced with another car with same issue. We were told that this was ok. The car had a large dent and 3 severe scratches - the documentation said nothing to report. Luckily we took pictures to show when this was noticed when returning the car..

Pros: The best company in Italy. Kind, friendly, attentive and what a great brand new car. On point!

Pros: The lady was very friendly and apologised about arriving after 20-30 mins, thought it must be said that our flight was delayed 40 mins. The car pickup process was fast and we appreciated that considering it was 10 pm at closing time. Waiting now for the deposit to be released.

Cons: The shuttle station at the airport was a little hard to find. I'd recommend including clearer instructions on how to find it (maybe a WhatsApp number), for people using the service at Bologna airport

Cons: Pickup from the airport could have been a bit more clear. We ended up waiting an hour for the shuttle to arrive, and once at the check in desk it took another half hour before we could be served

Pros: Renting a car has never been so smooth. It was a very positive experience. Once we landed at Bologna airport, we called the office number. They immediately sent us the meeting point location via whatsapp and picked us up within 10 min. The staff were friendly and efficient. They seemed to enjoy working there. There was no pressure to take extra insurance. Pick-up and drop-off were very quick and easy. The car was very new and in impeccable condition.

Cons: After drop-off, an employee drove us back to the airport. The drive was very scary, over the speed limit, aggressively taking over other cars. It's clear that they do this route multiple times a day, but still, made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.

Pros: Car was bigger than I expected.

Cons: Took 1.5h to rent the car. They were not ready to access so many client at the same time. How can you leave one person ahead of the weekend to manage the pick up, rent etc?

Cons: huge note: pickup is from a big roundabout about 5 minutes from the airport, where you have to walk up and wait on the roads (no sidewalks, not marked and we got to know that only after landing). then a shuttle runs about each 10min, but only takes 6-8 people, so you might have to wait a long time. after that it's a 5min drive and then everything goes very well, but if you're travelling with children/lots of baggage the pickup will be very hard
